Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 843: Chapter 886: Defeated Rooster

Ruan Zhitong walked over and sat beside Mu Beiting, hooked his arm, and nuzzled it affectionately, speaking softly, ”Hubby, what’s up? Why are you zoning out? Is everything alright?”

Mu Beiting glanced at Ruan Zhitong by his side, put out his cigarette in the ashtray, and said warmly, ”It’s nothing, I was just bored and decided to have a smoke. Since you’ve finished washing up, I’ll go in and take a shower now!”

Ruan Zhitong nodded, ”Alright! I’ll find and set out clothes for you then. Everyone is still waiting downstairs, we shouldn’t stay up here too long!”

”Okay!” Mu Beiting smiled at Ruan Zhitong, removed the hand she had hooked around his arm, and stood up to walk into the bathroom.

After Mu Beiting went into the bathroom, Ruan Zhitong dried her hair with a towel while walking to the wardrobe. She opened it and took out the loungewear they would wear later.

When Mu Beiting finished his shower and came out of the bathroom, Ruan Zhitong had already changed into clean loungewear. Her hair wasn’t completely dry but no longer dripping.

”Hubby, let me dry your hair!” Ruan Zhitong saw Mu Beiting walking out of the bathroom with a towel around him, drying his hair. She narrowed her eyes with a sweet smile and pulled him to sit on the edge of the bed, kneeling behind him to dry his hair carefully.

This entire week, every time Mu Beiting showered, she would finally kneel behind him to dry his hair!

She loved the feeling of drying his hair because it made her feel like his wife. Every time she dried his hair, she felt warm and sweet!

Once Ruan Zhitong had dried his hair to a half-dry state, Mu Beiting pressed her hand gently, saying softly, ”That’s enough, let’s go downstairs! Let’s not keep everyone waiting!”

”Okay!” Ruan Zhitong nodded, placing the towel on the armrest of the chair beside the bed, then picked up the loungewear on the bed and handed it to Mu Beiting, ”Change your clothes and we’ll go downstairs!”

”Alright!” Mu Beiting nodded, took the loungewear Ruan Zhitong handed him, and headed towards the bathroom.

Seeing Mu Beiting heading to the bathroom, Ruan Zhitong playfully tugged his hand, jokingly saying, ”Hubby, we’re husband and wife. Why are you going to the bathroom to change clothes? Are you afraid of me seeing you?”

Although they’ve been together for a week, their intimate gestures were limited to forehead and cheek kisses, nothing beyond that! Even changing clothes, he would go to the bathroom!

She didn’t understand why? Was it the same way he changed clothes when he was with Ye Anxin and went to the bathroom?

”I’m just used to it! Wait for me, I’ll be right out!” Mu Beiting smiled at Ruan Zhitong, gently removed her hand from his, and walked into the bathroom without looking back.

Once inside, Mu Beiting made sure to close the bathroom door.

Staring at the imposing silhouette reflected from the bathroom, Ruan Zhitong bit her lower lip, eyes full of unwillingness and confusion.

Mu Beiting changed quickly, and before long the bathroom door was opened!

As soon as Mu Beiting walked out of the bathroom, the unwillingness in Ruan Zhitong’s eyes vanished, replaced by her usual smiling face. She gave Mu Beiting a sweet smile, ”Uncle, did you finish changing clothes? Let’s go downstairs now! If we’re any later, they’ll start getting impatient!”

”Yes!” Mu Beiting nodded and proactively held Ruan Zhitong’s hand.

As soon as Mu Beiting’s hand touched hers, Ruan Zhitong felt warmth spread from her palm to her entire body, and her previous unwillingness disappeared completely.

When Mu Beiting and Ruan Zhitong went downstairs, Ling Yueyue was pulling Ye Mu and Xiao Bai to play a card game!

But no matter how she played, she couldn’t beat six-year-old Xiao Bai, and kept losing time after time! With Mu Beiting and Ruan Zhitong coming downstairs, her whole delicate face was green from defeat.

Tiantian sat beside Ling Yueyue, feeling very disdainful that her mother couldn’t win against a six-year-old. Seeing Mu Beiting and Ruan Zhitong, she ran over with a look of contempt, ”Uncle Mu, Aunt Mu, my mommy is so bad at playing cards with Brother Xiao Bai, she hasn’t won even once. It’s really embarrassing!”

Already frustrated from losing constantly, Ling Yueyue felt her anger rise as soon as her good friend came downstairs and began to spread her ’glorious achievements’. Ling Yueyue jumped up in anger, ”Hey, you little brat, what are you saying? I’m your mom, shouldn’t you be cheering me on instead of discouraging me!”

Just like Tiantian, Ling Yueyue’s lack of fear, coupled with her mischievous facial expressions, seemed to only add fuel to the fire, ”Seriously! Silly mommy, you can’t even beat Brother Xiao Bai. So embarrassing! And when you go out, don’t tell people you’re my mom!”

Ling Yueyue immediately defended herself, ”That’s because I had bad luck, every hand of cards was terrible!”

Facing Ling Yueyue’s defense, Tiantian pouted disdainfully, ”Come on! Three twos and a pair of kings aren’t good? Then what’s considered good?”

”You...!” Ling Yueyue was furious, glaring with wide eyes at Tiantian.

Tiantian fearlessly returned the stare, as if Ling Yueyue’s anger wasn’t enough. She even provocatively raised her chin.

”Hmph! I’ll win one game to show you!” Being so despised by her daughter, Ling Yueyue could only channel her frustration into determination. Rolling up her sleeves, she sat back on the sofa, puffed up, saying, ”Xiao Bai, one more round, I don’t believe I can’t beat a six-year-old kid!”

”Yueyue Auntie, are you sure you want to continue?” Xiao Bai looked at Ling Yueyue, though his eyes didn’t hold as much disdain as Tiantian, they were close enough.

”Of course! It’s do or die!” With that, she began shuffling and dealing the cards.

Seeing Ling Yueyue take on a challenge with a six-year-old seriously, Ruan Zhitong shook her head helplessly, walked over and sat next to Xiao Bai, soothingly saying, ”Xiao Bai, that’s enough. You’ve won so many rounds, it’s about time to let someone else win one!”

Hearing Ruan Zhitong’s words, Xiao Bai maintained a solemn expression, earnestly saying, ”Mommy, that’s not right! You often teach me that children should be honest! And now you’re telling me to lie and cheat?”

These words made Ruan Zhitong’s face freeze and her mouth twitched slightly.

”Anxin, I don’t need your help. I want to win him fair and square! It’s only a six-year-old kid! I don’t believe it!” With that, she began seriously organizing her cards.

Watching this rival pair beside them, Ye Mu could only shake her head in resignation, acting as a bystander.

Unfortunately, despite Ling Yueyue’s full determination, due to her limited skills, she still ended up defeated even with a pair of kings and twos!
