Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 805: Chapter 848: The Uncle’s Heartfelt Intentions

Unexpectedly, Mu Beiting remembered every word she said, and Ye Anxin was touched, her eyes reddening once again!

”Try it, how’s the taste?” Mu Beiting said as he handed the bowl of longevity noodles to Ye Anxin.

Ye Anxin took the longevity noodles that Mu Beiting handed over, sniffled to hold back her tears, then lowered her head, carefully tasting the flavor of the longevity noodles!

The noodles were delicious, not only did they taste good, but the chewiness was perfect, unlike other noodles that dissolve immediately in the mouth. Each strand of noodle felt handmade, not store-bought!

Ye Anxin cautiously asked while eating, ”Uncle, these noodles are really delicious! Did you make them yourself?”

She felt that these longevity noodles weren’t made by another chef, because while eating, she could taste not just the flavor but also the heartfelt intention behind them, which was even more significant!

Mu Beiting smiled gently and said softly, ”As long as you like it!”

Although Mu Beiting didn’t directly answer her question, it further confirmed to Ye Anxin that Mu Beiting had made the longevity noodles himself!

The fact is, preparing this kind of longevity noodles is far more complicated than making other noodles!

For other longevity noodles, you need to buy pre-made noodles from the supermarket, boil water, add the noodles when the water is boiling, and after they’re cooked, add some salt and chicken essence, and sprinkle with chopped scallions!

Just like that, a bowl of longevity noodles is done! The whole process is quite simple!

However, Mu Beiting’s bowl of longevity noodles was completely different! He had to buy flour from the supermarket, then pour it into a basin, add water, knead the dough thoroughly, roll it out with a rolling pin, and cut it into strips with a knife!

Once the noodles were ready, you boil water, and follow the previous steps to cook them!

The process seems simple but actually takes quite a bit of time, and the proportion of water to flour must be just right, neither too much nor too little. Too much water makes the noodles lose chewiness, too little makes them too hard!

Mu Beiting’s noodles were perfectly textured, proving he put a lot of effort into kneading. This skill can’t be learned overnight!

Recalling Mu Beiting’s mysterious late returns recently, Ye Anxin suddenly had a bold idea!

Could it be that his late nights weren’t due to work, but that he was learning to make longevity noodles for her birthday?

If he were truly busy, why wasn’t Pete with him during his business outings?

The more she thought about it, the more possible it seemed! Her carefully controlled tears blurred her vision again, and Ye Anxin looked up at Mu Beiting with teary eyes and asked chokingly, ”Uncle, have you been coming home late to learn how to make longevity noodles?”

Mu Beiting nodded, truthfully replying, ”Yes! Making longevity noodles looks simple, but turned out to be very complex! The flour and water must be balanced, otherwise, the texture can be off. When I used to cook for myself as a kid, I never found it this complicated!”

Seeing him admit it, and recalling the unique steak, Ye Anxin asked again, ”Was the steak made by you too, Uncle?”

Mu Beiting nodded slightly, replying, ”Yes!”

Ye Anxin couldn’t help but ask, ”The steak was so delicious, how did you make it?”

Mu Beiting didn’t answer, but winked at her and said mysteriously, ”Don’t ask so many questions, as long as you like it, I’ll make it for you every day!”

”You’re so annoying!” Ye Anxin rolled her eyes at him, blushing, and said, ”Earlier, I thought of giving you an unusually romantic and memorable birthday! But I didn’t expect... this birthday occasion to be even more unforgettable! Uncle, thank you for making this night so memorable! And... the gift... I really love it!” She unconsciously touched the diamond necklace around her neck.

Due to prolonged contact with her skin, the necklace had warmed up!

Previously, she couldn’t understand why there was no necklace provided with her evening gown. Her entire appearance was flawless except for her bare neck!

Unexpectedly, Mu Beiting had already prepared for that!

Seeing Ye Anxin so happy, Mu Beiting smiled contentedly, ”As long as you like it!”

Ye Anxin said sweetly, ”Anything given by Uncle, I will like!”

Mu Beiting’s eyes softened, and he urged, ”Hurry up and finish your noodles! They’ll get cold otherwise!”

”Okay!” Ye Anxin nodded and finished the bowl of longevity noodles in one go!

After finishing, she still felt unsatisfied, so she served herself another bowl! It took two bowls to satiate her, or she’d have completely devoured that big bowl of noodles!

”Uncle, you should eat too! Eating longevity noodles means we’ll live long together!” Saying this, she stood up and served Mu Beiting a bowl of noodles, setting it before him.

Mu Beiting put down his half-eaten steak and finished the bowl of longevity noodles she served!

”And red eggs! You must eat red eggs on your birthday for a smooth upcoming year!” Ye Anxin said while peeling the red egg in her bowl, offering it to Mu Beiting.

After Mu Beiting took a bite, Ye Anxin ate the remaining portion with great delight.

”Delicious, truly delicious! Everything Uncle makes is tasty! Despite being married for seven years, this is my first time tasting Uncle’s cooking! Surprisingly, it’s better than mine!” Ye Anxin praised and flattered Mu Beiting while eating.

Mu Beiting smiled and said, ”If you like it, I’ll make it for you often!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin promptly refused, ”No! Longevity noodles and red eggs should only be eaten on birthdays; eating them at other times loses their flavor! But steak is different. When I crave it, Uncle should make steak for me!”

Mu Beiting readily agreed, ”Okay!”

”Uncle is so nice!” Ye Anxin squinted her eyes and smiled sweetly as she ate the red egg, her mind unknowingly drifting to the scene a few days ago with Mu Beiting and a woman outside a jewelry store!
