Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 545: Chapter 588: Couldn’t Hold Back

Mu Beiting affectionately tapped her forehead once, held her hand, and walked towards the door, speaking as they moved, ”Let’s go down for a meal first!”

”Okay!” Ye Anxin obediently nodded.

As the two went downstairs, the servants in the kitchen were still busy cooking! Afraid Ye Anxin might be hungry, the housekeeper asked the servant to prepare a bowl of noodles for Ye Anxin to fill her stomach.

Ye Anxin quickly finished the noodles, but her stomach still felt empty, without any sensation!

Mu Beiting rubbed her head and gently said, ”Hold on for a bit, it’s not good for your stomach to eat too much all at once after being empty for so long!”

”I know!” Ye Anxin nodded sweetly.

At this moment, Xiao Bai and Teacher Luo came down from upstairs after finishing their class! After saying goodbye to Mu Beiting and Ye Anxin, Teacher Luo left! Xiao Bai walked over to Ye Anxin, sat down beside her, held her hand, and said with concern, ”Mom, how are you? Are you feeling better? I’ve been worried about you all afternoon, are you okay?”

Seeing Xiao Bai transform from a cool and proud kid in front of others to a warm boy in front of her, Ye Anxin felt immensely satisfied, ”Don’t worry! I took a nap earlier and feel much better!”

Xiao Bai asked unhappily, ”What exactly happened? You were perfectly fine when you went out this morning, why did you seem like that when you came back?”

As soon as Xiao Bai finished speaking, Mu Beiting sternly said, ”Enough, don’t say any more, what’s done is done!”

”...!” Xiao Bai puzzledly looked at Mu Beiting.

Ye Anxin smiled, gently stroking Xiao Bai’s fair little face, ”Your dad is afraid I’ll remember the scene I saw this morning! But...it’s all in the past now! Besides, I have a benefit, which is a poor memory! I forget things after a few hours! So, I’ve already forgotten what I saw!”

To stop Mu Beiting and Xiao Bai from worrying about her, Ye Anxin had to lie. She believed that a kind lie was understandable.

Although the sight of the foxhound’s corpse lingered in her mind, compared to the shock and fear from seeing that scene unexpectedly this morning, she truly felt much better now!

She believed time could fade everything! Given enough time, she would gradually, completely forget.

Xiao Bai obviously didn’t believe her words and raised an eyebrow, questioning, ”Really?”

Ye Anxin nodded affirmatively, ”Of course! When have I ever lied to you?”

Xiao Bai seriously stared at Ye Anxin for a moment, then nodded solemnly, saying earnestly, ”Alright! I believe you!”

”...!” Ye Anxin hesitated for a moment upon hearing this.

”Let’s go out to the garden for some fresh air! Once the food is ready, the housekeeper will call us!” Saying this, Xiao Bai stood up while holding Ye Anxin’s hand.

Ye Anxin glanced at Mu Beiting, who also stood up, and the three of them walked towards the garden outside together!

The air outside was better than inside the house! No matter how big a house is, the air isn’t very circulated. Especially with more flowers and trees in the garden, there’s always a faint fragrance of grass in the air.

Ye Anxin pulled Xiao Bai to sit on the cradle in the garden, asking Mu Beiting to push them from behind!

Mu Beiting obediently stood behind the cradle, gently, and rhythmically pushed them.

Xiao Bai contentedly snuggled in Ye Anxin’s arms, enviously admiring, ”Mom, you’re amazing! I’m so big, yet I never enjoyed such treatment from dad! When I used to play, it was always the servants who pushed me! Dad was at most sitting beside watching his company files!”

Ye Anxin laughed and said, ”We’ll have your dad push you more in the future!”

Xiao Bai enthusiastically nodded, ”Okay! But I’m afraid I won’t be able to instruct dad! At times, it still needs mom to speak up!”

”No problem!” Ye Anxin laughed and pinched Xiao Bai’s perky nose.

Xiao Bai was not at all repulsed by Ye Anxin’s touches, even if she treated him like a child! If someone else treated him this way, he would disdain and find it childish!

But when his own mother treated him this way, he only felt full of happiness, without a hint of rejection!

The three of them continued playing in the garden for a while before the sky darkened and the housekeeper came to call them inside for dinner. That’s when they went inside, washed their hands, and started eating!

Ye Anxin sat at the table, holding chopsticks, about to start eating, but when she saw the braised pork and twice-cooked pork on the table, images of the foxhound’s bloody mess flashed in her mind, making her face turn pale and her stomach churn. Although she tried to suppress it, she couldn’t help it, had to put down the bowl and chopsticks, covered her mouth, and rushed to the bathroom, bending over the bathtub, started retching.

Xiao Bai and Mu Beiting exchanged a glance, stood up simultaneously, and followed over!

When they reached the bathroom door, Ye Anxin was still retching heavily over the bathtub! The noodles she had eaten earlier hadn’t even been digested and came back out all at once.

”I’ll ask the housekeeper to find a family doctor!” Frightened by Ye Anxin’s condition, Xiao Bai turned to go fetch the housekeeper, but Mu Beiting grabbed him.

Xiao Bai looked at his father holding him, and asked anxiously, ”Dad, what’s wrong with mom? Why was she perfectly fine but started vomiting? Why aren’t you letting me fetch the doctor?”

Mu Beiting frowned, looking serious, ”Ask the housekeeper to remove all the meat dishes from the table!”

Upon hearing this, Xiao Bai was stunned, puzzledly looking at Mu Beiting, ”Meat dishes? Why remove them?”

Mu Beiting said expressionlessly, ”If you don’t want your mom to keep vomiting, remove them all! And tell the housekeeper not to prepare any meat dishes except fish for the time being!”

Upon hearing the association between meat dishes and his mom’s health, Xiao Bai nodded repeatedly and then turned to leave.

Ye Anxin bent over the bathtub and vomited for a long time! Only after everything in her stomach was emptied, with nothing left to vomit, did she feel much more comfortable!

Mu Beiting hurried to pour her a cup of hot water and handed it to her.

”Thank you!” Ye Anxin took the hot water, blew it gently, and then took a sip.

”Come out and rest for a bit!” Mu Beiting held her slender waist as they walked out towards the couch.

Ye Anxin sat on the couch, her right hand on her chest, constantly rubbing it! It seemed that only doing so could alleviate the discomfort in her stomach.

Looking at Mu Beiting’s worried face, Ye Anxin apologized, ”I’m sorry for worrying you and Xiao Bai! You don’t need to mind me, go eat yourselves! I’ll feel better after resting a bit!”

Mu Beiting insisted, ”We’re not hungry, we’ll stay with you!”

”I thought I could handle it! But...seeing...seeing...!” Thinking about each meat dish, Ye Anxin swallowed, completely unable to speak! She feared if she continued talking, she would start vomiting again.

Mu Beiting apologized sincerely, ”No worries! It was my fault for being careless!”
