Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 512: Chapter 555: Where Are We?

Upon hearing Ye Anxin mention Ling Yueyue, Ye’s mother seemed to just recall Ling Yueyue, stopped crying, and asked blankly, ”Yueyue has nothing to do with this matter, they probably wouldn’t do anything to her, right?”

”Huo Junmo is the son-in-law of the Nan Family, and Yueyue is Huo Junmo’s wife now. Do you really think Yueyue has no connection to the Nan Family? However, I asked Nan’s mother, she said she would let Nan Jinning handle Yueyue’s situation. Nan Jinning is currently abroad, at least for now, Yueyue is safe. If my guess is correct, Yueyue is probably kept by Nan’s mother in some place in Du City! I believe, with Huo Junmo’s capability, he will be able to rescue Yueyue promptly! So, rest assured, Yueyue will be alright!”

Ye Anxin sighed silently in her heart!

Actually, compared to Ling Yueyue, their current situation is much more dangerous!

Ling Yueyue is at least in Du City, and if she guessed correctly, Huo Junmo should be able to find her within days!

But they...

Alas...!

Ye Anxin felt troubled but dared not show this emotion on her face!

Her mother was already feeling so guilty and heartbroken, she couldn’t let her mother worry even more!

”Everyone says I harmed you, harmed Yueyue, otherwise... why would you have to suffer like this! Actually, I just wanted the family to live a simple life, why is it so difficult? In this life, I haven’t done anything right, first hurting your grandfather who jumped into the river and committed suicide, and now making you suffer because of me! I am just a disaster, a harbinger of bad luck!” Ye’s mother cried desperately!

Thinking that all these things stem from her, that her poor judgment caused her daughter and innocent Yueyue to suffer, she felt guilty to the point she wished she could die.

Ye Anxin smiled to comfort, ”Mom, don’t overthink it, we can only take it one step at a time! It’s alright, at least we’re together as mother and daughter!”

Ye’s mother only nodded, lowered her head, and continued to cry silently.

Ye Anxin continued, ”Mom, when they bring food later, you must eat. Without eating, you won’t have any strength, and how will we find a chance to escape? Got it?”

Ye’s mother said guiltily, ”You escape on your own! Let me fend for myself here! I would just hold you back!”

Ye Anxin replied helplessly, ”Mom, what are you talking about? Do you think I’d leave you and escape alone? If you don’t go, I won’t go either; we rely on each other as mother and daughter. If not for yourself, for your daughter, for your grandson Xiao Bai, we must escape. We have many good days ahead of us! It’s better without Ye Shan! Without him, there’s less burden and less constraint!”

Hearing Ye Anxin mention Xiao Bai, Ye’s mother finally lifted her head slowly, remained silent for a while, and reluctantly nodded.

Seeing Ye’s mother finally agree, Ye Anxin relaxed and nodded, ”Then later you must eat whatever they give! Don’t anger them anymore, otherwise it won’t benefit us!”

Ye’s mother bit her lip fiercely, frowned, and said uncertainly, ”Can we really escape?”

Ye Anxin nodded, determinedly, ”Don’t worry, we definitely can! Right now, on the river, there’s nothing we can do. The only thing to do is eat well, stay hydrated, and maintain our energy! Once on land, we’ll figure it out!”

To avoid burdening her daughter, for her only grandson, Ye’s mother nodded, made a determined decision, ”Alright! I will listen to you! Survive well. These five years, I haven’t heard Xiao Bai call me grandmother, for this sound of grandmother, I must survive!”

”Mm!” With Ye’s mother’s assurance, Ye Anxin could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

She feared her mother would give up on survival due to guilt! Fortunately, her mother couldn’t let go of her and Xiao Bai!

......

Ye Anxin and Ye’s mother were kept in a dark little room on the ship, other than the dim lights, they couldn’t see the situation outside at all! They didn’t know how many days the ship sailed on the river, even less where they were now!

They only knew, a long time passed, the ship stopped, and they were put into black bags and carried onto another ship!

From start to finish, Ye Anxin and Ye’s mother remained calm, did not struggle, did not make a fuss, stayed quiet regardless of where they were kept!

Soon after getting on the second ship, the small room’s door was pushed open again, the same two men came in carrying food!

Ye Anxin smiled and tried to please them, ”Hey brother, can you untie us? We can eat by ourselves! It’s awkward to have you feed us! Besides, if we stay tied up like this, our limbs will be useless! We don’t even know where we are now, you can be assured, we won’t escape!”

The two men exchanged glances, one of them said, ”Untie them! Anyway, we’ve left China already, on the sea; they can’t escape, even if they do, they’d be dead! I’m tired of feeding them every day!”

The other man hesitated a bit, then nodded in agreement! He untied both of them, then placed bowls filled with food in front of Ye Anxin and Ye’s mother, ”Eat by yourselves, we’ll come and clear the bowls later!” Without waiting for Ye Anxin and Ye’s mother to reach for the bowls, he placed them on the ground and left without looking back!

After the two guards left, Ye Anxin first massaged her wrists and feet, which had lost all sensation from being tied up, then went to help her mother, asking anxiously, ”Mom, how are you feeling? Is your body okay?”

Ye’s mother shook her head, smiled, and comforted, ”No problem! I’m not the delicate type! This isn’t much compared to what I’ve faced before!”

”Glad you’re okay! Let’s eat first, we’ll talk after we’re done!” Saying this, Ye Anxin picked up the bowl on the ground and handed it to her mother!

Ye’s mother took it and started eating slowly.

Ye Anxin picked up her own bowl and started to shovel rice into her mouth slowly.

While eating, Ye’s mother seemed to recall something, asked nervously, ”Anxin! Did that person just say we’ve left China?”

Ye Anxin nodded, thoughtfully said, ”Yes! We’ve been kept in this small room, unable to see outside, unaware of the time! I think, being kept this long, we must have left China! But we don’t know where we are now?”

Upon hearing this, Ye’s mother’s composure from several days shattered instantly, she said with red eyes, ”Already left China? What do we do? What do we do? So many days passed, and Mu Beiting hasn’t found us yet! I’m not worried, I’m old, no matter where I go, I won’t live many more years! The key is you! You’re so young, if... if you really get sold to Africa, what will you do? Your life would be ruined!”
