Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 543: Chapter 586: Excessive Fright

Ye Anxin opened her mouth, and Mu Beiting quickly passed the cup to her!

Ye Anxin drank all the hot water Mu Beiting handed over in one go!

After the hot water went down, Ye Anxin finally felt much more comfortable!

Mu Beiting asked softly, ”Do you want more?”

Ye Anxin shook her head!

Mu Beiting placed the cup on the bedside table, took out a tissue, and wiped Ye Anxin’s mouth clean.

Ye Anxin gave a bitter smile and said self-deprecatingly, ”Uncle, I’m sorry for troubling you! It’s all my fault, being curious about things. If I hadn’t gone to look, nothing would have happened! I’m really bringing this on myself! I deserve it!”

She had been pregnant three times in total, and except for the severe morning sickness with her first child, she hadn’t experienced any morning sickness with Xiao Bai or this current child.

Even when she was pregnant with Xiao Bai, sometimes her stomach would feel uncomfortable, but drinking some hot water would immediately make it better!

With this pregnancy, there hasn’t been any reaction at all!

So, she hasn’t vomited like this in a long time! Thinking about it, it’s really her own fault for meddling. Curiosity really did kill the cat!

Hearing her words, a mysterious glint flashed in Mu Beiting’s eyes, and he said meaningfully, ”Perhaps, it’s a good thing!”

Ye Anxin was confused and asked, ”A good thing? How could this be a good thing?”

She looked at things she shouldn’t have seen, and ended up like this, how could it still be a good thing?

She really couldn’t see anything good about it!

Mu Beiting touched Ye Anxin’s head, ”Don’t think too much! I’ll handle this matter!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but smile and tease, ”Handle it? How? Find the real culprit for the Pomeranian? And then avenge it?”

”...!” Mu Beiting didn’t speak, pursing his lips as he looked at Ye Anxin, with a light in his eyes that Ye Anxin couldn’t understand.

Just as Ye Anxin was pondering what the light in Mu Beiting’s eyes meant, a knock on the door interrupted her thoughts.

”Come in!” Following Mu Beiting’s words, the butler walked in with a steaming porcelain bowl in hand.

The butler walked to the bedside, handed the bowl to Mu Beiting, and respectfully said, ”Sir, this is the Calming Tea you requested!”

Mu Beiting took the porcelain bowl and asked, looking at the liquid inside, ”Is it safe for the baby inside the stomach?”

The butler quickly said, ”Don’t worry, this is just a regular Calming Tea, and it poses no harm to the madam’s baby!”

”You can go now,” Mu Beiting nodded in satisfaction. After the butler left, he brought the bowl to his mouth, blew on it, then took a sip himself to make sure the temperature wouldn’t burn Ye Anxin before handing it to her mouth.

Ye Anxin lowered her head and drank the Calming Tea from the bowl until it was all gone.

After Ye Anxin finished the Calming Tea, Mu Beiting placed the porcelain bowl on the bedside table, wiped her mouth clean, then gently lay down on the bed. He placed a hand on her forehead to check her temperature, saw it was normal, and then said, ”Get some rest! Once you wake up, you’ll forget everything!”

Ye Anxin nodded, tightly holding Mu Beiting’s hand, and said anxiously, ”Mm! Uncle, you’ll stay with me, right?”

In the past, she would never make such a request! But this time, she was truly scared! Without Uncle by her side, she definitely wouldn’t be able to sleep well, might even have nightmares! She’s afraid and hopes Uncle can stay by her side.

Mu Beiting nodded, promising, ”Of course!”

With Mu Beiting’s assurance, Ye Anxin finally closed her eyes at ease.

Mu Beiting sat on the edge of the bed, watching Ye Anxin’s pale face for a while, then lay down beside her, gently pulling her into his arms, resting his chin on her forehead. His warm breath softly covered Ye Anxin’s forehead.

The familiar scent and warmth of Mu Beiting somehow gave Ye Anxin peace of mind!

Perhaps it was because she was too exhausted from being frightened, or because of Uncle’s warm embrace, or maybe the Calming Tea had kicked in! In no time, Ye Anxin fell into a deep sleep in Mu Beiting’s arms.

Hearing the steady breathing from his arms, Mu Beiting’s eyes flickered slightly, and he unconsciously tightened his arms around her!

Ye Anxin slept for a long time! Throughout the entire sleep, she remained peaceful, with no nightmares or even regular dreams!

So, when she had enough sleep and opened her eyes, it was already past four in the afternoon! And the first thing that met her eyes when she opened them was Mu Beiting’s chiseled jawline and his familiar scent.

Ye Anxin thought Mu Beiting was still asleep and didn’t want to wake him, so she gently moved, trying to silently slip out of his embrace!

But as soon as she moved, Mu Beiting lowered his head, his deep eyes stared attentively at her, and he said warmly, ”Awake?”

”Mm!” Ye Anxin blushed, nodding embarrassedly.

Mu Beiting asked again, ”Did you sleep well?”

Ye Anxin nodded, ”Much better! The Calming Tea really worked wonders!”

Mu Beiting said, ”I’ll have the butler make another bowl for you tonight!”

”Okay!” Ye Anxin nodded obediently.

Mu Beiting asked, ”Do you want to sleep a bit more, or get up?”

”I’m well-rested, let’s get up! The way I came back must have scared Xiao Bai, I need to explain it to him so he won’t worry about me!” She said, struggling to get up.

Mu Beiting sat up first, then with a long arm, scooped Ye Anxin up from the bed.

Ye Anxin touched her face, ”Thank you, Uncle, I’ll go take a shower first! I must look terrible right now!”

”Mm!” Mu Beiting nodded, then got off the bed first and headed toward the bathroom.

Ye Anxin followed suit and got out of bed! After resting for a few hours, she had regained a lot of her strength! Although she still couldn’t completely erase what happened at the hospital from her mind, she felt much better compared to when she had just returned.

Hearing the sound of running water from the bathroom, Ye Anxin walked to the wardrobe, opened the door, and found a set of casual home clothes to take with her into the bathroom.

When she entered the bathroom, Mu Beiting was filling the bathtub with water. Seeing her come in, he stood up, took the clothes from her hand, placed them on the hanger, and while helping her undress, he said, ”I’ll wash you!”

Ye Anxin blushed and nodded, not refusing.

After Mu Beiting helped Ye Anxin undress, the bathtub was just full.

Mu Beiting lifted Ye Anxin and gently placed her in the bathtub, squeezing some body wash into his hand, and started washing her gently.

This time, Mu Beiting behaved himself; he didn’t make moves like before, nor did he demand her right in the bathroom!

Mu Beiting was also quick; after washing Ye Anxin all over, he had her stand up, then took a clean towel and carefully dried the water off her body!
