Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 526: Chapter 569: Thinner-Skinned Than a Girl

Ye Anxin’s mother understands Ye Shan, naturally, Ye Anxin also understands her father!

She could only smile helplessly at what her mother said and nodded, ”Yes! From what I know of Ye Shan, he will definitely come back! Uncle, there’s no need to go to the trouble of finding him! Let’s wait for him to come to us himself!”

Upon hearing this, Mu Beiting reluctantly nodded in agreement!

After a long pause, Mu Beiting suddenly said, ”Dragon Court Villa is still available! You can move there!”

Ye Anxin and her mother both looked at Mu Beiting at the same time!

But Mu Beiting didn’t say anything more, just sat there seriously.

Ye Anxin’s mother shook her head in refusal, ”No need! I’m not suited for such a good place! Besides, I don’t need such a big place to live alone! I just need a small two-bedroom apartment! I’ll pack my things tonight and go find a place tomorrow! Once I find a suitable house, I’ll move in immediately!”

Ye Anxin also said, ”Mom’s right, having her live in such a big house alone would make her feel even lonelier. A large house, with not even a single person to talk to! Just let Mom live in a two-bedroom place! It will give her peace of mind!”

Mu Beiting spoke again, ”You can hire a maid!” The implication being that if there were a maid, Ye’s mother wouldn’t be alone, and there would be someone to talk to!

”Uncle, we appreciate your goodwill, but it’s really not necessary! I know my mom, and compared to a lavish life, she prefers a simple and free life! I’ll accompany mom tomorrow to find a two-bedroom place, somewhere in the city, so that I can visit her conveniently, and it makes me feel more at ease!” Ye Anxin knew that Mu Beiting had always been used to solitude, not liking having others around him apart from her and Xiao Bai!

Therefore, she wouldn’t suggest the unreasonable condition of having her mother live at her place!

If her mother moved in, not only would it make Uncle uncomfortable, but her mother would feel uneasy too!

Rather than having everyone feel uneasy, it’s better to let her mother live alone, so everyone would be a bit happier! Her mother would also feel less constrained.

Since Ye Anxin said so, Mu Beiting didn’t speak anymore!

The carriage fell into silence once more!

Ye Anxin’s mother was still staring blankly out of the window, while Ye Anxin, holding onto Mu Beiting’s arm and leaning on his shoulder, seemed to be lost in thought too!

After driving for nearly two more hours, the car stopped at the airport entrance!

The three of them walked into the Supreme VIP passage and directly boarded Mu Beiting’s private jet which was parked at the airport.

Ye Anxin’s mother, in her forties, was flying for the first time, and it was her first time actually seeing an airplane!

Years ago, twenty-six years back when she left Du City, she couldn’t afford to fly, and always took long-distance buses or trains! She hadn’t even considered flying!

Even if she had seen planes before, it was only by chance from the ground, looking up and seeing them taking off amongst the clouds! At that time, the planes she saw appeared smaller than birds! Now seeing one up close, she realized how big and magnificent it truly was!

Ye Anxin’s mother had always had a weak heart, getting nervous and out of sorts over the slightest thing!

Being on such a big plane for the first time, she was nervous to the point her whole body began to tremble.

Ye Anxin held her mother’s hand and gently comforted, ”Mom, don’t be nervous, this is Uncle’s private jet, there’s no one else inside!”

”His private jet?” Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin’s mother couldn’t help but widen her eyes!

To her, who lived at the bottom strata of society, planes were always beyond her reach! And yet such a thing was actually her son-in-law’s private property!

She always knew Mu Beiting was wealthy, but the extent of it, she really hadn’t known!

”Yes! There are only the three of us on the plane, plus a few crew members! So, you don’t need to be nervous!” Saying so, she held her mother’s hand and helped her onto the plane.

Though Ye Anxin’s mother was still very nervous and didn’t dare to touch anything inside the plane for fear of breaking it, under Ye Anxin’s soothing, her tension gradually eased considerably!

Ye Anxin arranged the most comfortable spot for her mother to sit! But as she prepared to sit next to her mother, she saw Mu Beiting’s sullen face and quickly smiled sheepishly, telling her mother, ”Mom, it’ll take a few hours to get back to Jin City, if you’re tired, you can lean back and nap, I’ll wake you when we arrive at the destination!”

”Okay!” Ye Anxin’s mother nodded, slowly closing her eyes, and soon fell asleep.

She was indeed tired. The previous night in the hotel, anxious about soon meeting Nan Mingchuan, she had been too nervous to sleep a wink! On top of that, earlier on the boat, she had barely closed her eyes, only in moments of extreme exhaustion did she take brief naps, waking at the slightest disturbance!

So, after resolving everything, her tense nerves finally relaxed, drowsiness overtook her, and she drifted to sleep in no time, resting her head against the chair back.

Compared to her mother, Ye Anxin, who had slept until noon, was much more energetic!

She held onto Mu Beiting’s arm, resting her head on his shoulder, and softly said, ”Uncle, you must have been very worried while I was missing, right?”

”Mm!” Mu Beiting gently nodded, saying nothing.

Ye Anxin worriedly asked, ”What about Xiao Bai? In the days I was gone, was Xiao Bai angry with me? Did he think I abandoned him again?”

Mu Beiting shook his head and reassured her, ”No! He knows your situation!”

Ye Anxin said guiltily, ”He must have been very worried! It was my carelessness! I didn’t question Ye Shan’s strange behavior and thought he had a change of heart, and finally wanted to be good to us! I was so stupid, if I had told you earlier about this, or been more cautious, none of this would have happened! I even dragged Yueyue into it!”

”I just love your foolishness!” Mu Beiting’s handsome face unknowingly reddened, and he held her head with his free hand to stop her from lifting her head and noticing his embarrassment.

After getting along with Mu Beiting for some time, Ye Anxin understood his behavior and gestures somewhat, her lips curled into a happy smile as she arrogantly said, ”Uncle, are you admitting that you like me?”

Mu Beiting didn’t respond, pressing his thin lips tighter, his handsome face turning even redder.

Mu Beiting’s indulgence gave Ye Anxin more courage, her smiling lips broadening, eyes gleaming with a sly light, she teasingly said, ”Uncle, if you like me, just say it! There’s nothing to be embarrassed about between a married couple! See, I like you and I directly tell you! You, as a grown man, why be shy? You’re thinner-skinned than me, a girl!”
