Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 516: Chapter 559: Blood Relation

”Mom, Uncle has his own plans, don’t worry! We’ll definitely return to Jin City safely! The urgent matter right now is to fill our stomachs. We haven’t had a decent meal for so many days, your grandson is starting to get restless!” As she spoke, her hand subconsciously touched her flat abdomen.

”Grandson?” Ye Anxin’s mother followed her hand with her eyes, her pupils unconsciously widening.

”Yes! This time, he’s suffered with me! Let’s feed him first, and everything else can wait until we’re full!” Saying that, she took her mother’s hand and led her into the Chinese restaurant.

Since it was afternoon and not mealtime, the entire restaurant was empty.

After Ye Anxin ordered a few dishes that she and her mother liked, the food was served shortly afterward!

Without saying anything, Ye Anxin picked up the bowl and chopsticks and began eating voraciously.

Seeing Mu Beiting sitting next to them watching them eat, Ye Anxin quickly said, ”Uncle, you should eat too! The dishes here are very light and will suit your taste! I know you haven’t had a good meal during the days I was missing either! Look at you, you’ve lost so much weight!”

”Mm!” Mu Beiting nodded, picked up the bowl and chopsticks, and began eating elegantly.

These past few days, Ye Anxin’s mother had no appetite and ate very little, she was starving. Seeing a table full of dishes she liked, she wasn’t polite anymore and picked up her bowl and chopsticks to eat with Ye Anxin.

Ye Anxin’s mother, who usually had a small appetite, surprisingly ate two bowls this time, and after the meal, she even had a bowl of soup!

Ye Anxin was the same, she not only ate two bowls of rice but also had a bowl of soup, finally putting down her bowl and chopsticks in satisfaction!

Ye Anxin burped contentedly, rubbed her rounded belly, and said with a smile, ”It’s so delicious! It’s simply a worldly delicacy! I’ve never thought these dishes could be so tasty!”

Mu Beiting looked at her, his eyes softening, and pulled a tissue from the table to gently wipe the oil off the corner of her mouth.

Ye Anxin had long been accustomed to Mu Beiting’s attentiveness, she smiled slightly at him and didn’t push him away.

After he finished wiping her mouth, Mu Beiting asked gently, ”Do you want to rest for a while?”

”Uh...!” Ye Anxin moved her arms and legs, twisted her neck, then nodded, ”Why don’t we find a place to rest today, I’m really tired, though not sleepy, my whole body feels like it’s falling apart!” She glanced at her mother and continued, ”Mom doesn’t look good either, she’s been exhausted these days!”

”Mm!” Mu Beiting nodded, signaled the waiter to settle the bill, then took Ye Anxin’s hand and stood up, heading towards the restaurant door.

Ye Anxin turned her head, saw her mother silently following behind, and quickly took her mother’s hand with her free hand, and the three of them walked out of the restaurant shoulder to shoulder.

After leaving the restaurant, just like before, Ye Anxin’s mother got into the small car behind, while Ye Anxin and Mu Beiting got into the business car they had been in before.

After getting in the car, Mu Beiting said lightly, ”To the hotel!”

”Yes!” The driver nodded and drove them to the best five-star hotel in Du City!

Along the way, Ye Anxin leaned against the window, looking at the street view outside!

This was the place where she was born! Since her mother took her away from here, it was her first time coming back!

Du City was bustling, there were many people on the streets, the high-rise buildings were no less prosperous than Jin City!

For the Nan Family to be established here and to have a place, they must be far more wealthy and powerful than she imagined, right?

The whole way, Ye Anxin didn’t speak, simply immersed in her thoughts!

When they arrived at the hotel, the driver quickly got out to handle the procedures, and by the time Mu Beiting, Ye Anxin, and her mother walked in, the driver had already booked the rooms!

As usual, it was still the presidential suite on the top floor! They booked two rooms, one for Ye Anxin’s mother and one for Ye Anxin and Mu Beiting.

The first thing Ye Anxin did upon entering the room was take a shower, scrubbing herself clean in the bathroom, washing repeatedly from head to toe!

During the days she was confined, she hadn’t showered once, she could even smell the unpleasant odor on herself! Fortunately, it was autumn now; if it were summer, she thought she would have gone crazy from her own scent!

Ye Anxin stood under the bathroom’s shower for a full forty minutes, only stepping out with satisfaction, wrapped in a bath towel.

When she emerged from the bathroom, Mu Beiting was on the phone. Hearing movement behind him, he turned to glance at her, saying a few words to the person on the other end before hanging up.

Afraid she was interrupting his important work, Ye Anxin quickly said, ”Uncle, if you’re busy, don’t worry about me! I can handle myself!”

Mu Beiting curved his lips, sat by the bed, and beckoned to Ye Anxin, ”Come over!”

Ye Anxin nodded and, while drying her hair with a towel, walked toward Mu Beiting.

Once she was close, Mu Beiting pulled her into his arms, sat her down in front of him, took the towel from her hand, and gently dried the water from her hair.

Ye Anxin closed her eyes, enjoying Mu Beiting’s tenderness.

While keeping his hands busy, Mu Beiting said, ”Later, I’ll go to the Nan Family, you can rest well at the hotel.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin was momentarily stunned and quickly said, ”Uncle, are you planning to leave me at the hotel and go settle things with the Nan Family by yourself?”

Mu Beiting remained silent, and Ye Anxin took his silence as agreement, quickly saying, ”No! Uncle, I want to go with you! This whole thing started because of me, I believe you won’t let those who hurt me off easily! But... please, Uncle, even if you don’t let me handle it, at least let me watch from the sidelines, okay?”

Although what Nan’s mother did was excessive, this whole thing started because of her, and she really wanted to see how Uncle would handle it!

As for Nan’s mother, even killing her wouldn’t be too much!

But what about her biological father?

In the end, she couldn’t remain indifferent to her father! After all, she’s kind-hearted, and she shares the Nan Family’s blood.

This relationship cannot be denied, no matter how much she wants to push it away!

Mu Beiting remained silent for a while, then asked solemnly, ”Do you really want to go? Are you sure?”

”Yes! I want to go! So, Uncle, please wait for me to rest well tonight, and take me with you tomorrow, okay? We’ve just been reunited, don’t leave me alone in the hotel! I’m afraid!” She said, nestling into Mu Beiting’s arms, hugging his solid waist tightly.

Swayed by her sweet words, Mu Beiting agreed without thinking, ”Alright!”

”Uncle is the best! Thank you!” Hearing this, Ye Anxin smiled happily, her eyes curving with joy.
