Journey to Planar World

Seeing the gloom overshadowing the Saviors’ faces, Gaia hastily clapped her hands together loudly to draw everyone’s attention, wearing her sweet smile once again.

”Now, now! Don’t make such gloomy faces, guys! It is precisely because of those threats that Alaya and I summoned you all to gather today. The main purpose of our meeting this time is actually... a Power Up!”

Hearing those words, confused frowns instantly appeared on the Saviors’ foreheads.

A sudden power up without needing a Quest?

Alaya, who was beside her, let out a soft sigh before speaking to complement her partner’s explanation.

”So that the tragedy and situation that befell Farah Nadia will not repeat itself to you in the future, Gaia and I have agreed to take a proactive step.”

”We have decided to send the eight of you simultaneously to a special world—a place where you can obtain a very drastic surge in power for free, without needing to pay any price or risk in the process.”

Charlie narrowed his eyes, murmuring softly with a tone of wonder, ”Obtaining a drastic surge in power for free without any price...? Is there really a world with a concept that generous?”

To his left, Wang Jian’s eyes sparkled brightly.

A thought crossed his mind, yet he tried to hold back from celebrating too early before his speculation was confirmed by their two bosses.

Gaia didn’t let everyone sink into curiosity for too long. With a broad grin, she spread both of her arms.

”Yup! The world you will visit to harvest power is none other than... Little Garden from the world of Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo?!”

Instantly, a starkly contrasting reaction radiated inside the Void Sanctuary.

Kazuya, Miguel, Elena, and most of the other Saviors exchanged glances with expressions of dense confusion.

It was crystal clear from their facial expressions that they had never watched or heard about the Mondaiji anime.

Among the eight Saviors present in the room, only Charlie and Wang Jian recognized that anime title.

And specifically, Wang Jian’s understanding of the Mondaiji series was far deeper than Charlie’s.

Charlie himself had only gone as far as watching its relatively short anime adaptation—totaling only ten episodes—and it had never gotten a second season continuation.

However, Wang Jian was on a completely different level; as a hardcore fan, he had followed and read the Mondaiji Light Novel series all the way to its conclusion!

After all, the Mondaiji series enjoyed extraordinarily high popularity in China. That could be concretely proven by the sheer number of Mondaiji-themed fan fictions scattered across Chinese novel platforms.

Wang Jian often couldn’t comprehend the market taste in Japan.

For some reason, works with extraordinary world-building and genius stories that were deeply loved by the international community were actually less popular in Japan—the most glaring and tragic example, of course, being No Game No Life.

Meanwhile, animes with garbage storylines of the generic isekai genre grew abundantly like mushrooms during the rainy season instead.

In his heart, Wang Jian could only shake his head that the taste of the majority of anime consumers in Japan was indeed very strange.

”You need to understand very well... your cycle is the final cycle.” Gaia spoke with a tone that suddenly turned extremely serious and full of emphasis. ”If all of you as Saviors fail in the long-term war of attrition against the Abyssal Devourer, then that will be the end for countless multiverses.”

”Without your existence holding back their movement, it will only be a matter of time before every world where living beings reside will be invaded and devoured completely by the Abyssal Devourer.”

Alaya stepped forward, taking over the conversation with a cold gesture.

”That is why Gaia and I decided to intervene directly at this stage.”

”We will grant you this instant power up for the sake of increasing your survival chances in the future.”

”At the very least, this strength increase will allow you to dominate and become the strongest in the respective worlds where you reincarnate, thereby practically erasing all potential threats that could endanger your lives.”

Hearing that, Elena slowly raised her hand, giving voice to a curiosity that troubled her mind.

”What kind of place is Little Garden actually?” Elena asked hesitantly. ”Why could that world be so generous as to willingly give us a free surge in power without any return whatsoever?”

Gaia curled her lips into her signature smile, then began explaining with bursting enthusiasm in line with her cheerful personality.

”Fufufu, a very good question, Elena!”

”So it’s like this, inside the Mondaiji World, Little Garden is a giant fantasy world that functions as a meeting place for various beings from different dimensions, space, and time!”

Gaia moved her fingers in the air, creating a mini illusionary image of that world.

”Even though its name is ’Little Garden’, this world is actually extremely vast and shaped like a giant tiered city located inside a dome on a universal scale. This world was specifically created by gods and celestial beings as a residence for gods, devils, superhumans, all the way to legendary mythological creatures like dragons and fairies.”

”Life in that world is governed by a system that is very strict yet very exciting!” Gaia continued, growing even more excited. ”Gift is the primary term there to refer to superpowers, magic, legendary weapons, or any special ability possessed by the inhabitants of Little Garden. These Gifts can originate from bloodlines, blessings from gods, or the results of winning a competition.”

Gaia clapped her hands once. ”Similar to the No Game No Life World where all issues are decided through games, Gift Games are the main method to survive and raise one’s social status in Little Garden!”

”Every community or individual will bet using Gifts, territories of power, or even their personal freedom in an official competition presided over by a special referee. The forms of the games vary greatly—ranging from logic puzzles, bloody physical combat, all the way to cosmological-level strategy games!”

Seeing Gaia beginning to ramble in her explanation, Alaya rolled her eyes lazily and then cut off the conversation firmly.

”Gaia, stop your useless chatter. There is no need to excessively explain basic, irrelevant matters.”

Alaya scolded coldly before turning to face the Saviors.

”Let me clarify the technical reason why Little Garden can grant free power to you.” She spoke in a straightforward tone. ”Little Garden was fundamentally created by the gods as a Third Observable Universe—a cosmological control center that functions to ensure all chains of history in the outer worlds run in the correct direction. This world acts exactly like a giant computer system that automatically detects energy, souls, and potential from other dimensions.”

Alaya paused her sentence for a moment, granting time for the Saviors to absorb her explanation.

”When a person, hero, mythological creature, or even a historical concept is pulled into Little Garden, the Core of Little Garden will immediately measure the entire accumulation of achievements, historical contributions, mythology, or the weight of destiny that was ever left behind by that character or their ancestors in their world of origin.”

”These historical achievements are what get calculated and reckoned as Spirit Rank.”

”The greater the impact and historical footprints you carve in the outer world, the higher the base value of your soul when stepping into Little Garden.” Alaya took a step forward. ”Based on the evaluation results of those historical achievements, the Core of Little Garden will automatically spawn and grant a Gift that matches your existence.”

Alaya stared straight toward Charlie and Wang Jian.

”If the entering individual already possesses innate power from their world of origin, the Core of Little Garden will not erase it. On the contrary, that world’s system will legitimate it into a legally valid form of Gift in Little Garden.”

”Mortal worlds out there generally possess physical laws and dimensional boundaries that are extremely weak, such that the immense power you hold often cannot fully manifest or is instead constrained by the spatial capacity of your world of origin.” Alaya cut short, concluding her explanation. ”The moment you step into Little Garden, your destructive capability, energy capacity, and realm of existence will be raised and exponentially increased to fit the massive power scale of Little Garden!”
