Journey to Planar World

This time, the figure sitting in chair number IV (Four)—Valentina Claire, the fashionably dressed Savior holding the Hoshino Ai template—raised her hand while conveying a doubt that troubled her mind.

”Gaia, Alaya... Why didn’t you save Nadia when she was in a critical position and on the brink of death?” Claire asked with a concerned expression. ”Isn’t it a very easy thing for entities of your caliber to save a single Savior?”

Gaia opened her mouth to answer, but Alaya cut in before her, interrupting coldly.

”The life and death of the Saviors are your own responsibility.” Alaya interjected with an emotionless tone that froze the atmosphere. ”Every one of you has been equipped with a cheat in the form of a template chosen by your respective subconscious minds, and you receive abundant rewards and compensation every time you complete a Quest.”

”If even after receiving all those advantageous facilities you still get killed, it means that Savior was simply incompetent to survive.”

Alaya stared at the eight Saviors with her cold eyes.

”Gaia and I will never reach out a hand to save any Savior, even when you are in the most critical situation.”

”Remember, before your cycle, there were already many groups of Saviors from previous cycles with far larger memberships. The result? They died under various conditions and tragic incidents, and the two of us remained silent without intervening.”

”Do not expect any special treatment.”

Hearing that cruel yet rational statement, the expressions of all the Saviors present suddenly turned exceedingly grim, yet not a single one of them had the strength to refute Alaya’s words.

Sensing the atmosphere of the room suddenly becoming immensely tense and oppressive, Gaia hastily took over the conversation with an awkward smile.

”E-Ahem! Yes... even though Alaya’s words sound a bit unpleasant to the ears, what she said is indeed the truth, everyone!” She tried to thaw the atmosphere. ”Every Savior must entirely rely on themselves to survive in the worlds you inhabit.”

In chair number III (Three), Miguel Antonio, who held the Cid Kagenou template, leaned his body forward.

”So, Gaia... Is our main purpose in being summoned to the Void Sanctuary this time merely to announce Farah Nadia’s death, or is there a new Quest we must undertake?”

”My, what a very good question, Miguel!” Gaia praised while clapping her hands cheerfully. ”Actually, Alaya and I summoned you to discuss this incident because there is a very valuable lesson you must draw from it.”

”The most important lesson is: in the respective worlds where you reincarnate, there are always special entities that possess the capability to kill you!”

Gaia then stepped slowly around the round table, observing each Savior up close while pointing at them with her tiny finger.

”Let us start with Kazuya.” Gaia looked at Fujita Kazuya with the Tsukiguni Yoriichi template in the KonoSuba World. ”Kazuya, in your current world, you face a direct threat from the Demon King.”

”Do not be fooled by the atmosphere of your world that seems like a ridiculous comedy; KonoSuba is actually a very dangerous and cruel world, it is merely masked by the jokes of its inhabitants!”

”Just look at how many Reincarnators from Japan with extraordinary cheats Goddess Aqua has sent there? Almost all of them died tragically, and only Satou Kazuma’s party ultimately managed to subdue the Demon King!”

Gaia’s gaze shifted toward Miguel Antonio in the One Piece World.

”Then you, Miguel... In your current world, there are threats from the Five Elders, the Holy Knights, all the way to Saint Nerona Imu.”

”Even though your current strength is on par with the ranks of the old generation Yonko, remember that the power of Devil Fruits in that world is very unpredictable and possesses complex mechanisms. If you are even slightly careless or overly arrogant, you too can be rendered helpless by the manipulation of their abilities!”

Gaia stepped toward Valentina Claire once more. ”As for Claire in the Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari World... The upper limit of power in that world is actually extremely high, only slightly below Tensura.”

”There are countless conceptual existences, False Gods, and even entities from dimensional waves of destruction capable of erasing you in an instant if you do not continuously increase your strength.”

Next, Gaia’s cheerful eyes locked straight onto Charlie in chair number VI.

”And for you, Charlie, in the DanMachi World...” She spoke with a slightly more serious tone. ”With the current awakening of your Transcendent power, on paper you indeed no longer have any match on the surface or inside the Dungeon. However, the true threat you need to watch out for is the High-Tier Gods in Heaven.”

”If those chief gods feel threatened to the point of recklessly violating their own rules—descending to the Lower World without sealing their Arcanum—even with your current Transcendent power, you will be in a very dangerous position!”

Gaia moved to the side of Wang Jian in chair number VII, who held the Gojo Satoru template in the Naruto World.

”For Wang Jian... At present you might feel very safe because threats at the Six Paths level have not appeared openly. But do not ever lower your guard for a second, because Otsutsuki Isshiki is currently hiding in that world!”

Gaia brought her face closer, looking at Wang Jian.

”Isshiki is a natural enemy capable of penetrating your Infinity defense through two methods!”

”First, Isshiki’s Daikokuten ocular technique does not work by firing a projectile from point A to point B. This technique works conceptually by instantly moving an object from a timeless dimension directly to the target coordinates! Because the object is created directly right at your body’s position without passing through the space around you, Infinity will never have the chance to detect or slow down that object!”

”Second, as you know, your brain automatically filters threats based on an object’s mass and speed. Isshiki is capable of shrinking his body to a microscopic size. At such a small scale, he can slip through Infinity’s automatic filtering because he is considered a non-hazardous object—exactly like air and oxygen molecules that are still permitted to enter so you can breathe!”

Wang Jian listened closely with tightly knitted brows, taking note of every detail of Gaia’s warning.

Gaia then turned toward Oscar Leung in chair number VIII, who held the Qin Shi Huang template in the Magi World.

”Oscar! You have indeed succeeded in conquering five Dungeons and obtaining recognition from five Jinn, an extraordinary achievement that is only slightly below Sinbad.”

”However, remember, Sinbad who holds seven Jinn and the destiny of the world is still far stronger than you! Not to mention the threat from the darkness-worshipping organization Al-Thamen, which continuously moves in guerilla fashion to plunge the world into depression and darkness!”

Gaia’s gaze shifted to Frank Günther in chair number IX.

”As for Frank... Well, actually there isn’t much for me to worry about regarding you. With Ishigami Senku’s capacity for intelligence and your rational analysis, it is almost impossible for players in the Darwin’s Game World to corner or harm you.”

Finally, Gaia stopped in front of Elena Petrova in chair number X, who held the Maria Mikhailovna Kujou template in the DxD World.

”And lastly, Elena in the High School DxD World...” Gaia shook her head gently. ”Vastly different from the DanMachi World where Charlie is, where the gods voluntarily seal their powers in the mortal realm, the gods, devils, and angels in the DxD World are free to use their powers at any time!”

”Not to mention there are threats from the Chaos Brigade terrorist organization, the existence of Trihexa, to the potential invasion from the ExE World in the future.”

”There are far too many disaster-class entities capable of endangering your life if you are not careful!”

Gaia’s in-depth explanation slowly concluded with a long sigh.

”...”

Silence once again enveloped the Void Sanctuary, but this time the atmosphere inside the magnificent room felt vasty different from before.

There were no remaining traces of overconfidence; all that was left was a cold, freezing awareness that the line between life and death for a Savior was surprisingly thin and real.

The lesson from Farah Nadia’s fall was deeply engraved in the minds of each Savior.

The worlds in which they had reincarnated—no matter how vast and beautiful they appeared—were disguised battlefields inhabited by entities capable of taking their lives at any moment should they drop their guard even for a second.
