Not Being a Trainer This Time

[I once had troubles of hitting a bottleneck, but ”sitting idly won’t make the bottleneck disappear, so I need to take action; if it’s about livestreaming, I wish my studio could grow wings and fly everywhere”.]

”That’s why! I’m livestreaming to spread dreams!” Lono said.

”I get it!” The voice from the other side sounded.

”Alright then, let’s say that for now!” Lono simply bade farewell to the other person and then hung up the phone.

”Who is she?” Naoki was a bit surprised.

Lono answered, ”Her name is Gulumi, she used to be my number one fan, and recently, like me, she started livestreaming!”

Gulumi...

Naoki felt very unfamiliar with this name, as it hadn’t appeared in the game, so he didn’t pay much attention.

After lunch, the rain outside hadn’t stopped.

Lono wasn’t in a hurry to go to the Gym, so the two snuggled on the sofa with a bunch of Pokemon watching TV.

Naoki looked at Lono, raised an eyebrow, and then stretched out his arm.

Seeing this, Lono’s face showed a rare embarrassed expression.

”What are you doing?”

”Just a hug for a while,” Naoki whispered.

Lono blushed and leaned over.

Outside it was raining heavily, and there would occasionally be a rumbling thunder on the horizon.

The TV was broadcasting an intense and exciting Pokemon battle, but neither of them was focused on it.

Holding the girl in his arms, Naoki’s mind reminisced about the bits and pieces of the past days.

The girl who didn’t hesitate to run from the far east to the far west of Paldea to see him, the girl who confessed to him at the summer fireworks festival, the girl who gave him flowers for the first time, the girl who specifically learned to cook Chinese food for him...

He softly opened his mouth and said, ”Actually, that line should have come from me.”

”What?” Lono was slightly startled.

Naoki’s face showed a smile, and then he continued:

”When I first saw you, I thought in my heart, what a cute and pretty girl she is!”

”But at that time, I didn’t plan to fall in love, later you suddenly broke into my life, and every once in a while, you would come to the ranch to chat with me.”

”I guess that was the time when I started to have some affection for you? The Indeedee sibling said you liked me, but I really didn’t believe it.”

”Then later, you suddenly confessed to me, only I wasn’t ready at the time...”

”What about now?” Lono suddenly interrupted Naoki and asked.

Naoki’s face turned slightly red: ”Saying such things still makes one feel embarrassed.”

His expression became serious:

”But to say it, you are the first person to give me flowers, I never thought I could receive flowers from a girl in this life, and it’s the first time someone has specifically learned to make Chinese food for me.”

Naoki looked at the stunned girl beside him, and with a blush on his face, he made his first confession in life.

”So what I want to say is, I really like you, and I want to be with you forever.”

Lono blushed too, ”Is this a marriage proposal?”

Naoki was taken aback: ”...Isn’t it a bit early to talk about this now?”

”So you don’t want to live with me.” Lono said sadly.

Naoki soon understood Lono’s meaning, he laughed and asked, ”Do you want to marry me?”

Instantly, Lono’s face turned red, then she nodded, ”Then I can see you every day!”

Naoki: ”I didn’t mean I don’t want to live with you, I’m just worried you might feel it’s too sudden, it may be a bit early for you.”

”Eh, too early?” Lono recalled: ”But we’ve known each other for years!”

Naoki: ”...”

Almost forgot, the situation in the Pokemon World is different from his previous life.

People here can even get married right after love at first sight.

Just like the former Champion Mustard and his wife Honey in the Galar Region.

The two met during their travels across the world, had an encounter, fell in love at first sight, and soon got married in a whirlwind romance. They then bought an isolated island and opened a dojo there.

Not only that, but they also had a child named Hyde.

Naoki felt he should adapt to local customs, but the question was, in this world, does getting married require a dowry to the bride’s family?

As an otherworldly visitor, Naoki suddenly found himself completely clueless about such matters.

It was really making him pull his hair out.

However, Naoki’s silence gave Lono the impression that he wasn’t ready to marry her yet.

Lono suddenly felt sad: ”If you don’t want to get married right away, it’s okay!”

Naoki: ”...”

He immediately realized Lono had misunderstood.

Naoki said helplessly: ”I really didn’t mean it that way. I was just thinking about what I would need to prepare if I wanted to propose to you. You know, my parents left this world very early, and I’m clueless about these things.”

”And besides, I want to live with you! We can run the ranch together, take care of Koraidon and the others, have Dragonite take you to work in the morning, and bring you back in the evening.”

”I’ll run the ranch from home, waiting with everyone for you to come back. And I’ve even thought about changing the name of the ranch. You’re Lono, I’m Naoki, so the ranch could be called [Tree’s House], our home with the Pokemon.”

Lono listened intently, and without realizing it, she was drawn into Naoki’s fantasy.

It felt so happy!

But upon learning Naoki’s concerns, Lono was no longer sad and teased: ”Leave that kind of thing to me!”

”What do you plan to do?” Naoki asked.

”Hehe, of course, I’ll ask my parents!” Lono replied. ”Speaking of which, you haven’t met them yet. Do you want to come home for dinner with me tonight?”

Suddenly having to meet the in-laws, Naoki felt inexplicably nervous.

He couldn’t just go empty-handed; that would be too impolite, right?

Naoki quickly shook his head and expressed his concerns:

”No, that’s too abrupt. Give me some time, and when the time comes, I’ll bring gifts to visit them.”

”You’re right!” Lono thought of this and reassured him: ”It’s okay. My parents are great people, and they’ll definitely like you!”

”Yeah.” Naoki nodded.

However, he had another important matter to settle first.

It seemed the visit to Lono’s parents would have to wait until he handled the situation with Arceus’s awakening.

He would have to don the Motorcycle Mask once again at that time.

Giratina, Calyrex, at that time, he would request the Pokemon on the World Tree to gather for battle.

Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Ho-oh, Groudon, Kyogre, plus the consistent ally NPCs Dialga and Palkia.

Calyrex, Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Groudon, and Kyogre would launch the main attack, while Giratina, Palkia, and Dialga would disrupt, with Ho-oh using Sacred Fire and Holy Ash to heal.

With this all-star lineup, perhaps they could truly stand a chance against Arceus.

But another problem arose—they couldn’t exactly kill Arceus.

To resolve the issue perfectly, Dialga would have to send Ash and his friends back in time to change the history where Arceus was deceived, allowing the current Arceus to awaken.

However, it wasn’t time yet for Arceus to awaken.

Before that, two movie plot scenarios were yet to occur.

One was influenced by Arceus’s impending awakening, causing Dialga and Palkia’s realms to overlap, leading to a conflict.

The power of these two gods reached into the real world in Alamos Town, causing the town to be caught in spatial cracks, leading Darkrai to fight with the God of Time and the God of Space to protect it.

The other conflict occurred afterward.

The battle between Dialga and Palkia affected Giratina’s Reversed World, resulting in Giratina retaliating against Dialga...

Arceus was incredibly powerful.

If Naoki remembered correctly, even lacking a few Origin Creation Plates, Arceus could still defeat Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina with ease.

Therefore, he had to make full preparations before that day came.

League Year 201, April 16, early summer.

Naoki entrusted the affairs of the ranch to the Indeedee Siblings, then set off with Koraidon and the others to the Alola Region to begin his Island Pilgrimage.
