Not Being a Trainer This Time

At the same time, at the Pokemon Guild.

Led by Pawmot and Alcremie, Happiny curiously began touring the place.

The scenes all around were reflected in its eyes, and Happiny couldn’t help but mutter, ”Buku!” (It’s so lively here!)

It was even livelier than over at the ranch!

Pawmot nodded. ”Bamo!” (Of course, because this is a paradise Naoki specially built for Pokemon!)

Alcremie beside them also said happily, ”Mama～” (That’s right, everyone lives together, plays together, and we can even make delicious snacks together. It’s really blissful!)

Happiny kept turning its head, looking left and right; all those amazing facilities and Pokemon it had never seen before made it dizzy.

”Buku... buku!” It pointed toward one of the buildings and asked.

Hearing that, Pawmot and Alcremie looked over and saw many Pokemon sitting inside a house with its doors wide open.

Those Pokemon were gathered around the bar, drinking wine from cups and looking very happy.

Pawmot introduced, ”Bamo bamo.” (That’s the Pokemon Tavern, a place where Pokemon relax and drink.)

Alcremie: ”Mama!” (The wine is really tasty! After one cup you’ll feel all floaty, and walking feels like stepping on cotton candy!)

Happiny had never felt anything like that before, and after hearing Alcremie say so, it immediately looked eager to give it a try.

However, it was stopped by Pawmot, who suddenly put on a very serious face.

”Bamo!” (Naoki also said that Pokemon who haven’t grown up yet can’t just drink alcohol!)

Happiny immediately pointed at a small Buneary inside the Pokemon Tavern.

”Buku!” (That Pokemon is drinking too!)

Pawmot didn’t know what to do and could only scratch its head awkwardly where it stood. ”Bamo...”

”Mama～” Alcremie said gently, ”Mama?” (Just a little bit is fine, it’s okay. Besides, when I drank last time, Naoki didn’t stop me either, right?)

In truth, Alcremie was already a five-year-old Pokemon. Even though it had come to this world five years ago, it still often treated itself like a little kid Pokemon who hadn’t grown up.

Only when facing Pokemon younger than itself, or when facing Garganacl and the others, would Alcremie put on the air of a big-sis type.

This look of it made those Pokemon feel that it was a gentle, considerate big sister.

Sure enough, after hearing Alcremie’s words, Happiny’s eyes instantly lit up, and it looked at Alcremie with hopeful eyes.

”Buku!”

Alcremie puffed out its little chest with one hand like a tiny grown-up.

”Mama!” (Don’t worry, it’s fine!)

Then the two Pokemon went to the Pokemon Tavern and asked the waiters Meowth and Pikachu for two glasses of fruit wine.

Watching this scene, Pawmot finally let out a helpless sigh.

”Bamo...”

The sweet and mellow fruit wine entered their mouths, and an expression of enjoyment immediately appeared on Alcremie’s face.

Seeing Alcremie like that, Happiny copied it and gulped the drink down in big swigs.

After a glass of fruit wine, both Pokemon felt their heads go a little fuzzy.

Alcremie really liked this slightly tipsy feeling and asked, ”Mama?” (See? It’s like stepping on cotton candy, I wasn’t lying, right?)

”Buku!” Happiny nodded its head again and again.

After experiencing the drinking, Pawmot and Alcremie took Happiny to visit other places.

”Mama!” (This is the sweet shop! Everyone usually uses cream and flour here to make delicious cakes!)

”Mama.” (This is the sushi shop, it’s run by Tatsugiri and the others! But sushi doesn’t taste good at all; compared to that, I still like the cakes Naoki makes better.)

”Mama!” (This is the headquarters of the Explorer Team Guild, the place where Pokemon accept requests. Naoki said the more requests you complete, the stronger you’ll become!)

”Mama.” (That place next to the guild is the Item Shop. The Berries and MooMoo Milk sold there can help Pokemon recover their strength!)

Happiny, Alcremie, and Pawmot stood in front of the glass display case at the Item Shop’s entrance.

They saw all kinds of Berries on the shelves inside, some that restored stamina, some that cured status conditions, with a very complete variety.

The owner of the Item Shop was a Vileplume. Seeing customers arrive, Vileplume immediately walked over enthusiastically.

”Dafu～” (Dear customers, is there anything you need? Our little shop’s Berries are all very well stocked! And besides Berries, we’ve also recently gotten a brand-new, more powerful item～)

”Bamo?” Hearing that, Pawmot was a bit puzzled.

It looked around at the shelves but didn’t find anything new.

Alcremie asked, ”Mama?” (What is it?)

Vileplume answered with a cheerful smile, ”Dafu～” (It’s goods that Ho-oh delivered to our little shop～)

With that, Vileplume turned around and took a small bundle from under the shelf.

It opened the bundle, revealing a handful of ash-like stuff inside.

Vileplume introduced to them, ”Dafu.” (This is Holy Ash. It can instantly restore an injured Pokemon, no matter how serious the wound. As long as you apply this Holy Ash to the wound, that Pokemon will immediately be healed.)

Every now and then, Ho-oh would leave the World Tree and fly off to other places.
