Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 493: Chapter 288: The Legendary Pokemon, Calyrex and Arceus

”No, these berries should be used for brewing wine.” Naoki remembered the berry wine he brewed before, which could increase poison resistance and paralysis resistance.

One Friendship Berry per barrel of berry wine, then let every Pokémon in the ranch have a cup, granting them permanent poison and paralysis resistance.

Simply perfect!

Naoki was pleased with his brilliant idea.

Calyrex gracefully picked up the Leaf Cake, placing it in front to slowly savor it.

Noticing the cheerful expression of his little believer, Calyrex spoke:

”Naoki, I feel that there are more people who believe in me now.”

Naoki was slightly taken aback, then recovered and contemplated before asking, ”Do you not like this?”

Calyrex gently shook his head and slowly said, ”It’s not that I don’t like it, I... I just feel a bit emotional.”

”I was once a forgotten king. Since then, I assumed I would no longer be moved by human actions. Yet now, seeing the admiration and gratitude in the eyes of both humans and Pokémon, I still feel happy.”

”That’s very normal.” Naoki said, ”Actually, I think to us humans, Calyrex is a Pokémon that is completely different from the other Legendary Pokémon.”

”Oh? Why do you say that?” Calyrex asked with a hint of curiosity. Then, as if having understood something, he inquired, ”Other Legendary Pokémon? Humans have categorized Pokémon?”

Naoki nodded: ”Yes, like Zacian and Zamazenta, they are also considered legendary Pokémon.”

He explained, ”With legends, existing in this world for a long time, incredibly powerful, such Pokémon are often called legendary.”

Calyrex roughly understood.

Naoki continued the previous topic: ”As for why I say Calyrex is a Pokémon completely different from other Legendary Pokémon, it’s because you are very, very close to humans.”

Calyrex looked over.

Naoki: ”Other Legendary Pokémon rarely appear in front of humans. They are powerful, proud at heart, perhaps that’s why they disdain interacting with humans.”

Upon hearing this, Calyrex realized: ”I understand what you’re saying. I once ruled the Galar Region, lived alongside those who revered me as king, and responded to their prayers, making the land plentiful.”

”That’s right!” Naoki nodded, ”Giratina is also a legendary Pokémon, living constantly in the Reversed World, maintaining the balance between the Reversed World and the real world.”

”It seems you are quite knowledgeable about Legendary Pokémon.” Calyrex recalled the earliest day: ”Did you also hear my legend, which led you to carve a statue and build a shrine for me?”

It turns out that from that time on, his little believer had unwavering faith in his existence?

Calyrex was deeply moved.

Naoki was silent.

Could he say it was to capture Spectrier and Glastrier?

That can’t be said to Calyrex, so Naoki tactfully switched the topic.

”Do you want to hear about other Legendary Pokémon?” he asked.

In the morning sunshine, still warm, Calyrex elegantly sipped the tea poured by Polteageist and then gently nodded: ”Alright.”

Seeing this, Naoki began to chat leisurely with Calyrex.

”This world is actually created by a Pokémon known as the Creator God Arceus.”

At the first sentence, Calyrex’s face showed an astonished expression: ”The world we live in was created?”

Naoki: ”According to legend, the Creator God Arceus created the world.”

”Such a thing exists...” Calyrex murmured in disbelief: ”Then we must also be creations of him?”

”No.” Fearing Calyrex might think overly chaotically, Naoki quickly explained: ”Both humans and Pokémon were slowly born from this world, not created by anything.”

”I see!” Calyrex realized: ”A god created the world... What kind of power is needed to do such a thing! If possible, I would really like to meet him! See what the god who created the world looks like.”

Naoki: ”...Probably like an alpaca?”

”An alpaca?” Calyrex was slightly taken aback, never having heard that name before— is it a Pokémon?

Naoki then realized that this world does not have creatures like alpacas.

He explained, ”Just like Spectrier and Glastrier, with four legs, white, looking very sacred.”

While saying this, Naoki suddenly recalled a picture he had seen before.

In that picture, Arceus replaced the positions of Glastrier and Spectrier, ridden under Calyrex.

Naoki looked at Calyrex, wondering if Calyrex might not have such rebellious thoughts?

Meanwhile, Calyrex was pondering, thinking that the god who created the world looks like his beloved horse...

It was quite horrifying! From then on, he wouldn’t be able to look directly at his two beloved horses!

But just then, Calyrex suddenly noticed how detailed his little believer’s description was, as if he had seen the Creator God with his own eyes.

Calyrex couldn’t help but ask: ”Have you met the Creator God?”

Naoki: ”...”

”In the Sinnoh Region, there is a legend about him. It’s the origin of the Creator God’s culture.” Naoki explained.
