Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 456: Chapter 272: Sensation Caused by the TV Program

At the end of the story, the transformed Dragonite did not leave after becoming stronger as agreed.

On the contrary, as the human and the Dragonite lived together, they gradually grew accustomed to each other’s presence, and from then on, the Dragonite stayed at the ranch.

”I must say, Mr. Naoki is indeed a very charming person!” Alice exclaimed, ”The other Dragonite were also drawn by his charm and came to the ranch because of it.”

”Alright, that’s the full content of the mysterious urban legend ’Dragonite Delivery Service’! Thank you very much for watching!”

Alice smiled slightly at the camera, and then the screen image changed.

In the shot, the young man named Naoki tenderly distributed Poffins to the Dragonites, and every Dragonite standing before him was filled with anticipation and happiness.

This harmonious scene of humans and Pokémon gradually faded to present the word ”end.”

This signifies that today’s episode has come to an end.

Meanwhile, in a mansion located in Cabo Poco Town.

A bright-eyed girl about six years old, with a ponytail and a cheerful, lively personality, excitedly watched the images on the TV.

So many Pokémon! A human who can capture so many Pokémon must be a very strong Trainer!

”I’ve made up my mind!” Nemona suddenly shouted, ”I want to go to that place and challenge that Dragonite!”

Upon hearing this, the old butler beside her showed a helpless expression: ”Miss Nemona, you are only six years old this year and have not yet reached the age to become a Trainer.”

Nemona: ”But I’ve already learned how to battle with Pokémon! Plus, I already have ten Pokémon!”

With that, Nemona couldn’t wait to dash out the door.

The old butler helplessly followed behind: ”Wait for me, Miss Nemona!”

”This child is truly headstrong...” On the other end of the sofa, a woman about thirty years old shook her head helplessly, ”I don’t even know whom she inherited this personality from.”

The man reading the newspaper on the other side wore a doting expression: ”If Nemona wants to go, then let her. In four years, she will become a Trainer and embark on her own path, so why not let her get an early experience now.”

At the Cabo Poco Lighthouse, Arven and Mabosstiff were nestled on the sofa, leaning on each other while watching the television in front of them.

On the other side, there was a call from the depths of the Paldea Giant Pit.

Professor Turo and Professor Sada’s faces appeared on the screen. They looked at Arven and asked, ”Have you had dinner yet?”

Arven buried his head in Mabosstiff’s fur, not looking at his parents, and answered in a muffled voice, ”I had dinner; I made sandwiches.”

”That’s good,” Professor Sada praised, ”Arven is so capable, already able to make sandwiches. With this, your dad and I can feel at ease.”

Arven: ”...”

As expected, it was the same pair of research-obsessed parents he was familiar with!

Young Arven sighed inwardly, feeling a bit sad.

At this age, other people’s parents could accompany them, but he could only live with Mabosstiff.

He had to eat by himself, dress himself, sleep by himself; compared to other peers, he seemed almost like an adult.

Yet, he didn’t want to become such an adult...

Seeing Arven like this, both Professor Sada and Professor Turo exchanged glances, feeling somewhat helpless.

”Arven, be good. Our research is in a critical phase, and we cannot stop now. However, we promise that when it’s finished, we will immediately return to find you and take you to the amusement park.” Professor Sada assured.

At this moment, Professor Turo noticed the program playing on the TV.

Looking at Naoki and Koraidon on the screen, he displayed a look of surprise.

Professor Sada also saw that scene and felt a bit taken aback, but knowing Naoki’s character, she wasn’t entirely surprised.

Instead, she smiled and suggested to her son, ”If you find nothing to do, you can head to Porto Marinada Town and help Naoki at the ranch! I heard he recently caught some rare Pokémon.”

”If you go there, I believe he’d be happy to introduce the Pokémon at the ranch to you.”

Hearing this, Arven couldn’t help but envision the image of Naoki and the lively and warm atmosphere at the ranch, and he felt a bit tempted.

Seeing this, Professor Sada smiled, ”Then it’s settled, we’ll get in touch with Naoki.”

Without responding, Arven acquiesced.

Both Professor Sada and Professor Turo ended the call, preparing to contact Naoki far away in Porto Marinada Town.

In Levincia City, after a full day of Gym challenges, Lono returned home, exhausted, and collapsed onto the sofa.

The Magnemite hairpieces on her head hung weakly to the side, as devoid of energy as their owner.

Lono turned on the TV and listened to its sounds with her eyes closed.

”...I must say, Mr. Naoki is indeed a very charming person!”

”I believe these Pokémon living at the ranch must have felt his warmth and charm, which is why they chose to stay there.”

Upon hearing this, Lono opened her eyes just in time to see the gentle man distributing Poffins to several Dragonites.

”Yawn!” Lono yawned tiredly, watching the man’s expression and actions on the screen.

She immediately saw that he was also someone who loved Pokémon.

”Huh? A Trainer who raises nine Dragonites?” Recognizing the content of the program, Lono couldn’t help but show surprise.

As a Gym Leader, she’s well aware of what this signifies.

Lono suddenly became interested.

This guy is no ordinary person! To raise such precious Pokémon as Dragonite to deliver goods to guests, that’s quite interesting!
