Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 452: Chapter 271: Man and Dragon

”Glug!”

The newly arrived Dragonite number four couldn’t help but swallow.

Its eyes were fixed on the Poffin in Naoki’s hand, that was the flavor!

So fragrant!

Dragonite number four’s drool poured down like a waterfall.

Dragonite disdainfully looked at the scene; compared to it, the Dragonites on the island were really too inexperienced!

”Here you go, this is for you two! Thanks for your hard work today!” Naoki said with a smile as he handed two boxes of Poffins to the working Dragonites.

”Roar!”

They let out happy growls, reached out to take the Poffin Boxes, and ran out of the room, heading to the farm to enjoy the Poffins.

Dragonite number four stared longingly at the remaining Poffins.

Under its pitiful gaze, Naoki took out a new Poffin Box from the cabinet, filled it with Poffins, and handed it over: ”This is yours. Welcome to the farm, Dragonite!”

Hearing this, Dragonite number four’s eyes lit up.

Holding the Poffin Box stuffed with Poffins in its arms, it felt happy about its decision for the first time.

Thank goodness it had secretly followed them this morning!

Dragonite number four happily bid farewell to Naoki and left the house with the Poffin Box.

Watching its back, Naoki and Dragonite walked out of the room and stood under the eaves, watching the three Dragonites eating Poffins under the tree in the distance.

They leaned against the big tree, using claws to take Poffins from the box and stuff them into their mouths, happily chewing away.

”Phew...”

Watching this scene, Naoki let out a long sigh, feeling a bit emotional.

The Dragonites at the farm were increasing!

It felt like he could rename the farm to ”Dragonite Ranch.”

*

Days passed routinely, and in the blink of an eye, it was November 6, in the 198th year of the League Calendar.

That morning, the farm welcomed a new guest.

Looking at the blonde lady returning to the farm with four Dragonites, Naoki was a bit bewildered.

He asked uncertainly, ”You mean you’re a reporter from the Paldea News TV Station, wanting to shoot a program about me and the Dragonites?”

Even at this moment, Alice had not recovered from the shock.

She looked at the four Dragonites wandering under the tree, her face filled with astonishment.

Just last evening, she had arrived at Porto Marinada Town located in the western part of the Paldea Region.

Not knowing the exact location of the destination farm, she stayed overnight in town, planning to observe the next morning to see if, as the letter said, Dragonites would come to town every morning to deliver milk.

Alice had thought it was just some dastardly person deceiving them for information fees, but unexpectedly, the next morning, she indeed saw Dragonites with satchels circling above the town.

Even more shocking was that there wasn’t just one Dragonite!

There were four!

What kind of family could afford to raise four Dragonites!

So, to uncover the truth, Alice quickly grabbed her camera and followed these Dragonites to this farm.

She found out there weren’t just those four Dragonites, but also many rare Pokemon she had never seen before!

Although she didn’t know them, just by looking at these Pokemon, she could sense they were extraordinary.

Were they Pokemon from other regions?

At this moment, Alice looked at the young man in front of her and couldn’t help but swallow.

Who exactly was this man?

To have captured so many seemingly strong Pokemon, he must be a powerful Trainer!

Elite... or Champion?

But what Alice couldn’t understand was why such a promising and powerful Trainer would come to such a remote countryside to become a farmer?

Seeing the reporter in a daze, a question mark popped above Naoki’s head.

?

Only then did Alice come to her senses, nodded, and replied, ”That’s right! I’m from Mesagoza City, where the headquarters of the Paldea News TV Station is located!”

”I came to Porto Marinada Town to investigate the truth behind the mysterious urban legend about the [Dragonite Delivery]!”

Naoki: ”...”

Seriously, an urban legend!

So it turned out that on some unknown occasions, sending Dragonites to deliver milk had already become a mysterious urban legend?

Naoki internally ranted.

Yet at this moment, Alice was filled with anticipation.

Would this man named Naoki agree?

Although the program hadn’t started filming yet, she had already thought of a name for this episode.

Let’s call it ”Man and Dragon.”

Why did rare Pokemon like Dragonites appear in the mysterious town, and why did they circle above every morning? What is the mysterious connection between the man and Dragonites? Stay tuned for the evening news ”Paldea Secrets: Man and Dragon”!

Naoki pondered deeply.

Honestly, he didn’t mind being featured in a program.

After all, he planned to establish the Dragonite Delivery Company in the future.

Instead of promoting it laboriously then, why not prepare in advance, boost the fame of the Dragonite Delivery Company, and use this program to advertise for the farm?

Thinking of this, Naoki’s brow relaxed.

He smiled and replied, ”Of course!”

Hearing this answer, Alice’s eyes brightened: ”Thank you very much!”
