Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 492: Chapter 288: The Legendary Pokemon—Calyrex and Arceus

Friendship Berry?

Looking at this pile of ordinary-looking berries in front of him, Naoki felt a bit baffled.

He stood there dumbfounded until his sister Indeedee noticed the unusual situation and came out to check, waking Naoki up with a start.

Berries that can enhance cooking levels... This is incredible!

He was certain that these things couldn’t possibly grow under normal circumstances.

Could this be because of Greedent and their feelings of gratitude towards him?

These emotions infused into the berries, causing them to undergo some magical mutations.

This truly is...

For a moment, Naoki didn’t even know what to say.

In helping those Pokémon, he never thought of getting anything in return.

Looking at it now, this is indeed an unexpected gift!

If these berries were used properly, they could greatly enhance the ranch and some of the Pokémon within it.

Like the Leaf Cake he made last winter with the leaves from the World Tree.

Naoki recalled the Leaf Cake’s level being S-.

If a Berry were added to it, wouldn’t it mean the Leaf Cake’s level would increase to S?

As we all know, when the level of a dish increases, its effects also become more pronounced.

This means, after eating the enhanced Leaf Cake, Calyrex and Gogoat will be able to cultivate the World Tree even faster!

Thinking of this, Naoki’s heart leapt, and he carried the Friendship Berries back to the living room.

Sister Indeedee noticed the pile of berries Naoki was holding and asked, puzzled, ”Indeedeedee?”

Naoki: ”Greedent came by, and these berries are gifts from it and the Pokémon in the forest.”

In his mind, Naoki could vividly imagine the scene last night where the group of Pokémon in the forest were scouring for berries.

Just now, he noticed that these berries were larger and fuller compared to ordinary ones.

Obviously, they were carefully selected by Greedent and the others as gifts to give away.

In his heart, Naoki thanked that adorable group of Pokémon.

After breakfast, he couldn’t wait to request a leaf from the World Tree, then took out a Friendship Berry and began working in Alcremie’s Cream Workshop.

An hour later, with a ding, the freshly baked Leaf Cake came out piping hot.

Naoki quickly put on oven mitts, took it out from the oven, and then evenly spread cream on top before garnishing with sliced Berry pieces.

Once everything was done, Naoki looked down to check the details of this Leaf Cake.

[Leaf Cake (Incomplete)(S): A cake made by mixing leaves from the World Tree with eggs, MooMoo Fresh Milk, and other ingredients. Listen carefully, and one can feel the breath of nature from it.

Cooking Effect: Breath of Nature.

1. Permanently increases the power of Grass Type Moves by 25%, limited to Grass Type Pokémon, effects cannot stack.

2. After consuming, Grass Type Pokémon can respond to the rhythm of nature, significantly reducing the growth time of crops when using Grass Energy to cultivate, only applicable to Grass Type Pokémon, effects cannot stack.

Additional Effect: Master of the World Tree, you have been recognized by the World Tree, as an entity that nurtures the Gogoat that cultivates the World Tree, you may enter all areas inside the World Tree in the future, this effect only applies to Naoki.

Evaluation: Listen to the breath of nature! Perhaps as the World Tree grows, dishes made with its leaves will have even better effects.]

”Sure enough, the level increased from S- to S!” Naoki felt a thrill in his heart.

”The power of Grass Type Moves has even been increased by an additional 5%, making a total of 25%, one-fourth, which is higher than the power increased by carrying Miracle Seeds!”

”I wonder if the effects of the Leaf Cake and Miracle Seeds can stack. If they can stack, then Gogoat’s strength will be further enhanced.”

If they unleash Grassy Terrain... Ordinary Pokémon probably won’t be able to withstand a single Grass Sacred Sword from Gogoat.

Naoki couldn’t help but take a cold breath, terrifying indeed!

But more than this enhancement, what concerns him is whether the ability to cultivate crops has improved.

”From minor to moderate, it’s indeed improved!” A weight was lifted off Naoki’s heart.

This way, the growth speed of the World Tree is even faster, probably not even requiring four years to grow into a towering tree.

”Truly an unexpected gift!” Naoki’s grin nearly stretched to his ears.

He took this Green Grass Cake to the ranch and divided it into five parts, feeding three to the Gogoats, Dolliv, and Calyrex.

In the Glass Greenhouse, Naoki watched Calyrex enjoy the dessert among the flowers, pondering what other dishes could utilize the Friendship Berries.

Berry Platter with refining techniques? Would adding Friendship Berries further increase the chance of Pokémon learning rare moves?

Lucky Pudding? Further enhance fortune?

Or Translation Nuts? Perhaps increase the translation word count.

However, what Naoki regretted most was that the Storm Steamed Bun and Lightning Steamed Bun couldn’t be made now. If Friendship Berries were added to those, they might create even more powerful dishes.
