Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 457: Chapter 273: Red Cape and Meowth Hammer, Superhero and Pawmot!

After dark, Naoki checked the facilities in the ranch and then stayed at home with Pokemon like Koraidon, turning on the TV and casually tuning into the Paldea News TV Station.

As expected, it was airing the program ”Man and Dragon” filmed by Alice.

Naoki watched the TV with great interest. This was his first time experiencing something like this, and it was quite new to him.

Seeing himself on the screen, Naoki couldn’t help but think: Does this mean he’s on TV now?

”I hope this documentary will spread the name of the ranch,” Naoki murmured to himself.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Although the ranch is not well-known yet, Naoki believes that one day the name Dragonite Delivery will spread throughout the entire Paldea Region!

The next morning, life returned to its usual routine.

After returning from the Galar Region, there wasn’t much else outside that needed Naoki’s attention.

So he stayed at home, working and playing with the Pokemon.

When he got up in the morning, the first thing Naoki would do was milk the Gogoat, then bottle the freshest milk and hand it over to the Dragonite delivery service to deliver it to the town’s customers.

After milking, the Indeedee sibling prepared breakfast, and then Naoki would dine with everyone on the ranch.

After breakfast, the Indeedee brother and sister began tidying up the room messed up by Pawmot and Cyclizar, while Naoki went out to do the ranch work.

Pouring drinking water and Grassy Seed into the Gogoat’s trough, filling the stable with Berries and carrots, collecting MooMoo Fresh Milk from the Miltank.

Collecting honey from the Combee hives, gathering Rock Salt from Naclstack in the Underground Cave, and picking up eggs laid by the hens last night at the Chicken House.

After tending to the Pokemon in the ranch, Naoki returned to the kitchen to make Grassy Seed for the Gogoat and check the progress of fruit wine and rose jam in the cellar.

When all the work was done, it was lunchtime.

Naoki would dine with the Pokemon, then go to the Glass Greenhouse for a short rest and have afternoon tea with Calyrex.

Around three or four o’clock, he would go to the Reversed World to continue developing Sky Island, transforming it into the ranch’s backyard.

The Pokemon in the ranch also had their own things to do.

Playing, frolicking, running...

The weather was quite good today, and Naoki basked in the sun, listening to the sound of the Pokemon frolicking outside, feeling that life was complete as it was.

”Woo wah~?”

Just then, the voice of Tinkatink came from outside.

Naoki opened his eyes, walked out the door, and saw the petite Tinkatink holding a hammer and looking around, seemingly searching for something.

Seeing Naoki, Tinkatink’s eyes lit up, and it quickly ran over, energetically raising the hammer in its hand.

”Woo wah~!”

Naoki’s eyes lit up, and he quickly reached out to take the hammer Tinkatink handed over.

”Is it finished?”

Tinkatink nodded repeatedly: ”Woo wah!” That’s right! This hammer is the Final Hammer it poured all its heart and soul into crafting!

Naoki looked down at the heavy hammer in his hand.

The hammer gleamed with a silver metallic sheen, distinct from Tinkatink’s own hammer.

The hammer Tinkatink held was small and delicate, just like Tinkatink itself.

But the hammer given to Naoki was larger, with a square head, and it emitted a captivating silver glow.

Clearly, this hammer was crafted by Tinkatink specifically for Pawmot.

”Amazing!” Naoki couldn’t help but exclaim.

Even though he had heard tales about Tinkatink Pokemon, witnessing their hammer-making ability was still a marvel to Naoki.

No need for any auxiliary tools or high-temperature smelting; just relying on those tiny hands and the Steel Type Energy within could create such an excellent hammer.

Tinkatink looked over expectantly.

Noticing its expression, Naoki smiled and praised, ”I really like this hammer. Thank you for making it, Tinkatink!”

”Woo wah~”

Hearing this, Tinkatink’s eyes brightened, looking very happy.

The Tinkatink of today no longer had the frail, dispirited look from the forest fire days.

After recreating its hammer, its spirit and energy seemed to have fully recovered.

Perhaps, this was the true Tinkatink.

Naoki was genuinely happy for Tinkatink’s ability to emerge from the shadows.

He reached out to pat Tinkatink’s head, then turned to the roof of the Chicken House and said, ”Let’s go, let’s deliver it to Pawmot!”

”Woo wah!”

Tinkatink nodded excitedly, then followed Naoki with the hammer.

They arrived below the Chicken House, and Naoki called out. Pawmot, who was sunbathing on the roof, immediately flew down.

”Pawmot?”

Naoki handed the hammer to it, expectantly saying, ”Want to try it?”

Pawmot took the hammer, surprised to find it surprisingly fitting for its size.

But after the surprise, Pawmot was puzzled. It looked at Naoki, confused: ”Pawmot?”

Is this a gift for it? But how is it supposed to use it?

Seeing this, Naoki remembered that Pawmot didn’t know about Thunder God, so it naturally didn’t understand the meaning of the gift.

He cleared his throat, sat down, and prepared to tell them the story of Thunder God.

Noticing this, the two Pokemon in front of him also sat down.

Naoki began to speak slowly, ”A long time ago, there was a Pokemon named Thor, the Thunder God. It wore a Red Cloak symbolizing hope and carried Mjolnir, traveling the world to punish evil and help weak Pokemon.”

”It could transfer the Spark within its body to the hammer, enveloping it in electricity to attack opponents, using this method to punish many bad people.”

”Those helped by it, both humans and Pokemon, called it a superhero. Over time, that figure in the Red Cloak with Mjolnir flying in the sky became everyone’s beacon of hope.”

”Pawmot...”

”Woo wah...”

After hearing the story, both Pawmot and Tinkatink seemed filled with longing.

Tinkatink suddenly had an epiphany, remembering how during the forest fire, Pawmot, much like the Thunder God in the story, flew around in the sky in a Red Cloak, searching for Pokemon in need.

Tinkatink looked admiringly at Pawmot: ”Woo wah?!”

Seeing Tinkatink’s reaction, Naoki also recalled the scene from then, and with Pawmot showing a slightly shy expression, he nodded with a smile:

”That’s right, Pawmot is a superhero too.”

Hearing this, Pawmot’s eyes instantly brightened.

Recalling the Pokemon in the story named Thor, Pawmot tried to emulate it, gripping the hammer tightly and diligently summoning its Electric Type Energy.

The next moment, zapping currents surged from Pawmot and, under its control, flowed into the hammer.

Sparks flew, and the hammer in its hand burst forth with a powerful lightning.

Pawmot couldn’t believe what it was seeing, exclaiming in amazement.

”Pawmot?!”
