Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 467: Chapter 278: Mew and the World Tree

Teddiursa: ”Immu immu!” (This is a gift from the Farfetch’d that Big Hero helped! It’s his favorite leek!)

It was indeed well known that Farfetch’d loved such leeks, and Naoki nodded knowingly.

Farfetch’d, the Wild Duck Pokemon, according to the Pokédex, they only live in places where stalk-like plants grow.

Naoki looked down at the bunch of leeks in his arms.

The so-called stalk-like plant was actually these leeks. For some reason, the leeks in this world were so large, much larger than the ones he ate in his past life, large enough to be used as swords.

Thinking of this, Naoki pulled out a leek and swung it like a sword twice.

The stem sliced through the air, producing a whooshing sound.

Beside him, Teddiursa watched this and nodded repeatedly: ”Immu!” (That’s right! Farfetch’d swings leeks just like that!)

Naoki imagined the scene of a Farfetch’d fighting with a giant leek and found it inexplicably amusing.

But speaking of which, due to the rarity of these wild-grown leeks, the number of Farfetch’d has been dwindling in recent years.

Because Farfetch’d is a very unique Pokemon, without leeks, they can’t survive. So, when facing opponents that try to steal their leeks, they will fight with all their might.

In some places, to protect the dwindling number of Farfetch’d, people have even started specifically growing these leeks to attract Farfetch’d to settle and nest nearby.

”Farfetch’d, huh?” This rare Pokemon, he quite wanted to raise a few, but Farfetch’d only lived where stalk-like plants grew.

Naoki started to brainstorm.

”If I plant these leeks on the ranch, would it attract wild Farfetch’d to settle here?”

It’s just that... it seems like the Paldea Region doesn’t have Farfetch’d.

Naoki felt a sense of regret.

He placed the bunch of leeks aside, then turned to see Indeedee brother curiously looking at Teddiursa and Mew.

Naoki then remembered that when Indeedee brother came to the ranch, Teddiursa had already set off on a journey, and they hadn’t met yet.

Thinking of this, Naoki began introducing the current state of the ranch to Teddiursa and Mew.

”After you left, many new companions have joined the ranch.”

”Immu?” Teddiursa now noticed Indeedee brother, blinked, and happily greeted it: ”Immu!” (Hello!)

Indeedee brother paused, apparently surprised by the friendly nature of Teddiursa, and responded clumsily, ”Ai eee...” (You...hello!)

Naoki smiled slightly: ”This is Indeedee brother, he and his sister are our family’s caretakers, always managing the household chores. They are very capable Pokemon, even when I’m not at the ranch, they manage everything meticulously.”

Hearing Naoki’s straightforward praise, Indeedee brother felt a bit embarrassed, after all, these were part of their responsibilities.

And upon hearing these words, Teddiursa’s eyes filled with admiration: ”Immu!” (Amazing!)

Just like humans!

This made Indeedee brother feel even more embarrassed.

”Besides brother, there are many other new companions, but they’re all playing hide and seek in the maze right now, I’ll introduce you to them later.”

Naoki paused, then asked: ”After traveling for so long, you must be exhausted, right? Want to take a nap?”

Teddiursa and Mew indeed felt somewhat tired.

After deciding to return to the ranch that day, they rushed back nonstop from the distant Johto Region.

They crossed the ocean, climbed mountains, and after countless hardships, finally made it back here.

Both Teddiursa and Mew had expended a lot of energy, and having just filled their bellies and basking in the warm environment, the fatigue from the journey surged all at once.

”Immu...” (So tired...)

”Miu...” (Really want to sleep...)

Seeing this, Naoki smiled and said, ”Then go take a nap!”

He led the two little ones back to his room, letting them rest in his bed.

Teddiursa lay on the soft bed, inhaling Naoki’s scent from it, the room was very warm, which gave Teddiursa an unprecedented sense of security.

It drowsily half-opened its eyes to look at Naoki, muttering hazily: ”Immu...” (So glad to have met Naoki...)

Naoki didn’t quite hear: ”What?”

When he looked over, Teddiursa had already closed its eyes and fallen asleep.

Mew beside them also let out a string of meaningless murmurs: ”Miu...Miu...”

Mew: zZZ

Then, it too drifted into slumber.

Watching Mew and Teddiursa’s adorable sleeping faces, Naoki’s heart softened, then quietly adjusted the temperature for them, and only then tiptoed out of the room, gently closing the door.

At this time, Dragonite and the others, who had been playing all morning, also returned to the living room.

Seeing them, Naoki remembered the main task.

He poured a cup of hot Berry Milk for all the Pokemon and Arven to warm up, then looked at Pawmot and Dragonite.

”Do you want to get stronger?” Naoki asked.

”Roar?”

”Barmo?”

The two Pokemon instantly turned their heads to look over.

The effect of the Translation Nuts Cake had already worn off, Naoki could no longer understand their speech.

But seeing Dragonite’s excited eyes and Pawmot’s eager expression, even without translation, he could understand what the two Pokemon meant.
