Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

The assistant asked Zhao Rong curiously, ”Brother Zhao Rong, I know you put on the x-ray glasses and saw the Polar Evil Spirit’s other soul flee its body into the sky... but how did you discover that it ended up possessing the Eskimo beauty?”

Zhao Rong smiled and took something resembling a Bluetooth earpiece from his pocket. ”I used this Soul Tracker,” he told the assistant, ”to find the Eskimo beauty the Polar Evil Spirit was possessing.”

When the assistant saw the so-called Soul Tracker in Zhao Rong’s hand, which looked exactly like a Bluetooth earpiece, he asked curiously, ”Brother Zhao Rong, are you sure that thing is a Soul Tracker and not just a Bluetooth earpiece?”

Zhao Rong demonstrated how the Soul Tracker worked. ”Do you see, Assistant?” he said. ”Once this Soul Tracker locks onto the soul I’m tracking, it immediately extends an arrow that points to the soul’s location.”

Hearing this, the assistant had an epiphany. He finally understood how Brother Zhao Rong had managed to locate the Polar Evil Spirit’s soul.

Just then, the Eskimo Chieftain objected. He stepped forward and pointed to the ’Beauty Can’ in Zhao Rong’s hand, his voice filled with concern. ”Zhao Rong, while you used this ’Beauty Can’ to capture the Polar Evil Spirit’s other soul, you also trapped one of the beauties from our tribe inside! If you destroy the Polar Evil Spirit’s soul, won’t you also harm our tribal beauty?”

Hearing the Chieftain’s worries, Zhao Rong patted him on the shoulder reassuringly. ”Don’t worry, Chieftain. This ’Beauty Can’ is one hundred percent guaranteed to keep the Eskimo beauty safe. The whole reason I put her in here was to kill the Polar Evil Spirit’s soul so I can then safely release her.”

Miss Lili stepped forward. She eyed the very ordinary-looking can in Zhao Rong’s hand, which resembled a can of herring, and asked curiously, ”Brother, how exactly do you use this ’Beauty Can’ to kill the spirit’s soul first and *then* release the Eskimo beauty?”

Zhao Rong pointed to two buttons on the can. ”Do you see, Miss Lili? There are two buttons on this can: one red and one black.

”When I press the red button, a system inside the can activates and slays the Polar Evil Spirit’s soul.

”Then, when I press the black button, the can opens and releases the Eskimo beauty.”

After hearing Zhao Rong’s explanation, Yu Lan stepped forward and asked with admiration, ”But Brother Zhao Rong, what I really want to know is how you managed to trick the possessed Eskimo beauty into getting in that ’Beauty Can’ in the first place.”

Zhao Rong smiled and told Yu Lan, ”Actually, I forgot to mention that I’m a natural actor. I’m especially good at blurring the line between fake and real, turning my enemy’s plots against them, and bluffing with borrowed authority.

”So when I was speaking so seriously with the Eskimo beauty just now, the Polar Evil Spirit never realized that I’d already discovered its soul possessing her.

”The only reason the spirit entered my ’Beauty Can’ was because it was overconfident, assuming I hadn’t spotted it. It figured it could hide inside the can for a while, follow us into modern human society, and thereby escape the Arctic Circle.”

Xuelian, looking puzzled, asked, ”Brother Zhao Rong, why did the Polar Evil Spirit’s soul have to use your ’Beauty Can’ to escape the Arctic Circle? Why couldn’t it just leave on its own and go to the outside world?”

Hearing Xuelian’s question, Zhao Rong patiently explained, ”Xuelian, you might not know this, but the Polar Evil Spirit is a ghostly creature that cultivated its power right here in the Arctic Circle.

”As a result, it is confined here. If it wants to escape the Arctic Circle, it needs to continue its cultivation, but it currently lacks the time or energy for that.

”So, it thought it could use the ’Beauty Can’ I’m holding and have me carry it out of the Arctic Circle.”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s explanation, Xuelian finally understood the whole story.

When the truth finally came to light, the surrounding Eskimos, the three beauties, and the assistant were all completely in awe of Zhao Rong.

The assistant stepped forward and said admiringly, ”Brother Zhao Rong, when I saw you whispering to the Eskimo beauty and showing her that can, I honestly thought you were getting audacious again, wanting to keep her by your side and hide her away in a secret love nest. But I never imagined you had already identified the Polar Evil Spirit possessing her!

”While you were acting, you were already prepared for a fight! You turned its own plan against it, passed off a fake as the real thing, and captured the Polar Evil Spirit in one fell swoop. Brother Zhao Rong, your acting is amazing, and your patience is incredible! At the same time, your ability to deceive is so powerful that you left a vicious ghost like the Polar Evil Spirit completely baffled. As your assistant, I have to say, you’ve made me see you in a completely new light!”

Miss Lili also stepped forward, completely impressed by how realistic Zhao Rong’s performance was. She gave him a double thumbs-up. ”Brother Zhao Rong, your acting is truly superb! It’s a huge loss for the film industry that you never became an actor.”

Yu Lan gazed at Zhao Rong, her eyes full of adoration. ”Brother Zhao Rong, your acting is beyond question. If you were an actor, you would sweep all the major international film awards—the Hong Kong Film Awards, the Golden Roosters, the Huabiao Awards, even the Oscars!”

Xuelian rushed forward and gave Zhao Rong a hug. Then, looking at the can in his hand, she said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you’re just too amazing! You didn’t just destroy one of the Polar Evil Spirit’s souls—you captured the other one too!”
