Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

When Zhao Rong and his companions saw the old beggar suddenly pull a hairdryer from his pocket, they exclaimed in surprise, ”Damn it, what trick is this old beggar up to now? Why would he pull out a hairdryer? Does he want to give us new hairstyles?”

Holding the hairdryer, the old beggar primed it like a weapon and laughed. ”Young people, you think this is a hairdryer? Well, it’s not. It’s a flamethrower.”

The moment Zhao Rong realized the hairdryer was a flamethrower, he roared at his assistant and the three women, ”Get back! A flamethrower can incinerate a person in seconds! If we don’t move now, we’ll just have to watch ourselves burn to death!”

As he shouted, Zhao Rong led his assistant and the three women to scatter. The instant they dove for cover, the old beggar pulled the hairdryer’s trigger. A massive jet of fire erupted from the device. Anything it touched was instantly burned to ash, leaving not even a speck of dust behind.

When the old beggar finished firing, he was stunned to see that Zhao Rong’s group had managed to dodge it yet again. Frustrated, he threw the hairdryer to the ground and roared, ”Damn it! I’ve seen fast reflexes before, but I’ve never seen anyone as quick as you five!”

Seeing the old beggar discard the weapon after a single use, Zhao Rong immediately made a deduction. ”His weapons are incredibly powerful, but I’m guessing they’re all single-use. Everyone, get ready. As long as we can dodge the first attack, the weapon becomes useless!”

Hearing this, Lili immediately hurled the stick in her hand at the old beggar. ”You despicable villain! Trying to burn us alive! I’m going to smash your head open with this stick!”

However, as Lili’s stick flew toward him, the old beggar leaped into the air and kicked it, snapping the sturdy wood in two.

When the three women saw his incredible skill, their eyes widened in disbelief. ”He really is the master guarding the seventh trial. He’s really powerful...”

Just then, the old beggar casually picked up a white kettle from nearby. When Zhao Rong and the others saw it, they were left gaping in astonishment.

”Is he thirsty? Maybe he’s going to boil some water,” one of them wondered aloud.

The assistant shook his head and pointed to a nearby package of Master Kang instant noodles. ”No, look. He must be hungry and wants to make some ramen.”

”That’s not it,” Lili countered, glancing at a large wooden barrel. ”He’s going to boil water for a hot bath.”

Yu Lan frowned, her eyes on a dead chicken lying nearby. ”He’s craving meat. He’s going to boil water to scald it, pluck the feathers, and make chicken soup.”

”That kettle... it doesn’t look ordinary,” Xuelian said, her imagination running wild. ”What if it’s a homemade landmine?”

But as they were speculating, Zhao Rong tackled them all to the ground. ”Look out! He lit the fuse! That’s not a kettle, it’s a homemade shoulder-fired rocket launcher!”

Before Zhao Rong could finish, the spout of the kettle popped open, and a rocket shot out from inside. As he launched it, the old man cackled, ”You fools! You all thought this was some fancy white kettle? It’s not a kettle at all; it’s a portable shoulder-mounted missile! No matter how fast you are, my rocket will blow you to bits!”

The old beggar burst into a fit of laughter. At the same time, the rocket exploded near the group of five. Fortunately, they had ducked into a nearby sewer and were unharmed by the shrapnel.

When the old beggar saw that his rocket had failed to kill them, he flew into a rage. He threw the white kettle to the ground, stomped it to pieces, and shrieked hysterically, ”Damn it! Are you five human or gods? How can you even dodge a rocket? This makes no sense!”

Before he could finish, Yu Lan hurled a beer bottle at his head. ”You wretched beggar! Trying to kill us with a rocket? See how you like my beer bottle!”

Because Yu Lan had thrown the bottle so high, the old beggar didn’t see it coming. He arrogantly pulled another bizarre weapon from his pocket and proclaimed with boundless conceit, ”Even if my weapons can’t seem to hit you, you still can’t do a thing to me! You can’t even get close, let alone hurt me!”

The old beggar let out a contemptuous laugh. But before the sound died, Yu Lan’s beer bottle dropped squarely onto his head, gashing it open.

Struck dumbfounded, the old beggar stood with blood streaming down his face. ”Damn it! Who threw a beer bottle at me and cracked my skull?”

Hearing this, Yu Lan stood up, laughing heartily. She thumped her chest and yelled, ”That was me! I’m the one who smashed your head with that bottle!”

Realizing someone from Zhao Rong’s group had hit him, the old beggar furiously pulled a power bank from his pocket and roared, ”My previous weapons may not have harmed you, but this power bank in my hand will surely engulf you all in a sea of fire!”

When Zhao Rong’s group saw the power bank, they were simply dumbfounded, unable to comprehend what was happening.

What on earth could this mysterious weapon be?
