Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

After dealing with the guardian of the sixth pass, Zhao Rong and her companions immediately headed for the seventh.

When they arrived, they saw a beggar in tattered clothes a short distance away, holding a bottle of liquor and throwing a drunken fit. When Zhao Rong saw that the guardian of the seventh pass was actually a drunken beggar, she couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise, ”You’ve got to be kidding me. The master of the seventh pass is a beggar who’s drunk as a skunk!”

The assistant stepped forward, his eyes wide as he stared at the old beggar taking a swig from a flask. ”Old man, we’ll spare you since you’re just an old beggar. Scram... otherwise, we won’t be so polite.”

With that, the assistant picked up a brick from the side of the road and started walking toward the old beggar.

But when Lili saw the assistant was about to hit the old beggar with a brick, she immediately stepped forward to protect him, blocking the assistant’s path. ”That’s going too far! How can you beat up an old man?”

Yu Lan also stepped in front of the assistant and scolded him, ”You’re shameless, picking on such a pitiful beggar!”

Xuelian, however, looked at the beggar skeptically. ”Could this man really be the guardian of the seventh pass? Are we sure we haven’t made a mistake?”

At this, Zhao Rong stepped forward and pointed to an emblem embroidered on the beggar’s collar. ”Xuelian, there’s no doubt about it. This guy is definitely the seventh guardian hired by those villains, Zhou Xiaoer and Hong Ju, to defend Bada Alley. Though he’s dressed in rags on the outside, have you noticed the T-shirt he’s wearing underneath?”

Hearing this, the assistant peered at the inconspicuous shirt the old beggar wore underneath his tatters and exclaimed in surprise, ”What the hell? No way! He looks like a beggar on the outside, but the shirt underneath is a perfectly clean Armani... Clearly, this guy isn’t a beggar at all. He’s just pretending to be one to trick us so he can attack when we let our guard down. He’s a major villain...”

Before the assistant could finish, the old beggar shot up from the ground and tore off his filthy rags. He revealed a full set of designer Armani clothes hidden underneath and burst out laughing. ”Countless challengers have reached my pass, and all of them were fooled by my appearance... But you youngsters, with your Eyes of Golden Flame, have uncovered my secret. Since you’ve already found me out, there’s no point in hiding anymore.”

With that, the old beggar took off his high-top leather shoes, held them in his hands, and said to the group, ”If you surrender and come with me to see my bosses, Hong Ju and Zhou Xiaoer, I’ll spare your lives. Otherwise, you’ll fall to my gun right now.”

When Zhao Rong, the assistant, and the three women heard that the old beggar was indeed a villain, they took a step back, watching him warily. ”So it’s true, you really are the guardian of the seventh pass. But what are you doing with those leather shoes? Are you planning to knock us out with the smell?”

The old beggar laughed heartily and said proudly, ”Let me tell you the truth. These leather shoes in my hand might look like a pair of shoes, but they’re actually a Desert Eagle pistol.”

When Zhao Rong and her companions heard that the battered leather shoes in the old beggar’s hands were actually a powerful Desert Eagle pistol, they burst out laughing.

The assistant, still holding the brick, mocked the old man, ”Old-timer, if that pair of beat-up shoes in your hand is a Desert Eagle, then this brick in my hand is a nuclear weapon.”

Lili picked up a stick from the ground and pointed it at the beggar. ”If that pair of stinky shoes is a pistol, then this stick in my hand is a shoulder-fired rocket launcher.”

Yu Lan grabbed an empty beer bottle from a nearby trash can and threatened him. ”Old man, if those shoes are a Desert Eagle, then this beer bottle is a hand grenade.”

Xuelian pulled two cans of pepper spray from her pocket and sprayed them wildly into the air. ”Old beggar, if those shoes that could stink a man to death are a Desert Eagle, then what’s coming out of these cans isn’t pepper spray, it’s Sarin gas!”

But just as the assistant and the three women were mocking the old beggar, Zhao Rong lunged forward, tackling them all to the ground. ”Get down! Watch out for the bullets!”

Before she could finish her sentence, they heard five gunshots.

The stinky shoe in the old beggar’s hand was, in fact, a spy weapon. To operate covertly, spies had disguised a Desert Eagle to look like a pair of stinky shoes. That’s why no one believed him when he claimed it was a real gun.

As the five bullets whizzed over their heads, they broke out in a cold sweat.

The assistant said in disbelief, ”I can’t believe it. This old beggar is not to be trifled with. Those stinky shoes really are a Desert Eagle... That’s terrifying. Luckily, you were fast enough to tackle us, Boss. Otherwise, we’d have been shot and left lying in pools of our own blood.”

The three women were even more grateful. ”Zhao Rong, thank you for saving us with your quick reflexes! We would’ve been shot otherwise.”

Just then, the old beggar threw the stinky shoes to the ground and cursed, ”Damn it! You people are too fast, dodging my shots like that!”

Seeing the old beggar discard his weapon, Zhao Rong and the others got back on their feet. The assistant dusted himself off, hefted the brick, and immediately hurled it at the old beggar. ”You’re a ruthless one, old man, shooting at us with a Desert Eagle disguised as a stinky shoe! You’re out of weapons now, right? I’m going to smash your head in with this brick!”

The old beggar simply ducked his head, dodging the incoming brick. Then, he swiftly pulled a hairdryer from his pocket, aimed it at the group, and said, ”My stinky shoes may be out of bullets, but I still have this hairdryer.”
