Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

The sweeping monk, holding his broom, shook his head with a cold expression. ”Buddhist teachings are based on compassion. To pass my challenge, you must lay down your weapons and attain instant enlightenment. Then, leave Bada Lane obediently. Otherwise, don’t even think about getting past me...”

When Zhao Rong saw that the sweeping monk wouldn’t let him pass, he said bluntly, ”Since you won’t let us through, don’t blame us for being rude.”

The sweeping monk scoffed, ”As long as I’m here guarding this pass with my broom, not even a fly will get through.”

Although the monk boasted of his prowess, Zhao Rong was unimpressed and walked toward him.

When the assistant and the three women saw Zhao Rong walking boldly toward the monk, they were terrified and quickly warned him, ”Zhao Rong, be careful of that broom! When he sweeps up dust, you have to dodge it. If you get caught in it, you’ll immediately suffocate and feel like you’re dying...”

Yu Lan found it particularly strange and said, ”That’s odd. I used to clean my classroom back in school, and no matter how much dust there was, it never suffocated anyone. So why does the dust this monk sweeps up make it impossible to breathe, even to the point of suffocation?”

Xuelian was even more suspicious of the dust. ”Could it be that what this old man is sweeping up isn’t dust, but some kind of chemical agent dispenser?”

From the back, the assistant shouted another warning. ”Zhao Rong, you have to be careful! That old man is no pushover; he’s formidable! If you feel like you can’t beat him, retreat immediately. Don’t you dare get yourself killed by him...”

As the sweeping monk watched Zhao Rong approach step by step, he clenched the broom in his hands, aiming it at the ground. He was preparing to kick up a cloud of dust the moment Zhao Rong was close enough, engulfing him completely.

However, in stark contrast to the tense monk, Zhao Rong was perfectly relaxed. He whistled as he walked, taunting, ”Sweeping monk, if you have the guts, go ahead and sweep up a cloud of dust to envelop me. I’d like to see for myself just how potent this dust of yours really is. Can it actually suffocate someone?”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s words, the sweeping monk sneered at him. Young man, don’t you think for a second that this dust I sweep up is just ordinary dust... This is no common substance... Now, I’ll let you have a taste of its power...

With that thought, the monk summoned every ounce of his strength and violently swept the ground, sending a massive cloud of dust surging toward Zhao Rong.

After kicking up the dust, the monk laughed. ”Young man, this cloud is more than enough to completely envelop you. Now, just let me watch as you slowly lose your breath, slowly collapse, slowly become brain-dead, slowly feel your heart stop beating, and slowly breathe your last...”

But just as the monk was reveling in his triumph, Zhao Rong suddenly pulled a large industrial blower from his Magic Ring.

He immediately hit the power button. The large blower roared to life, unleashing a powerful gale that blasted directly toward the sweeping monk. The fierce wind caught the cloud of dust and blew it right back where it came from.

The sweeping monk, who had been laughing manically a moment before, was suddenly enveloped in his own dust cloud.

Coughing painfully, he sputtered, ”Damn it! What kind of freak are you, carrying a blower around? If I’d known you had one, I wouldn’t have swept up so much dust! Now look at this! You used that thing to blow my dust right back at me, and now I’m the one trapped in it! This is agony...”

As the monk coughed uncontrollably, Zhao Rong began to expose him. ”Old man, stop pretending. You’re no sweeping monk, and that stuff you swept up from the ground isn’t dust at all.”

When the assistant and the three women, standing a short distance away, heard that Zhao Rong was about to expose the monk, their eyes widened in anticipation.

Zhao Rong promptly took a gas detector out of the Magic Ring and explained, ”This old man looks like he’s just sweeping dust off the floor with a broom. In reality, he has a hollow tube hidden inside the broom handle. When he made that sweeping motion, he secretly pressed a button to release poison gas from the tube.”

When the assistant and the three women heard that the old man was actually spraying poison gas under the guise of sweeping dust, they were all stunned speechless.

The assistant, not having expected this at all, exclaimed, ”Damn it! I knew there was something wrong with that dust, it was so strong it made my eyes water! So the old scoundrel hid a hollow tube in his broom and filled it with poison gas!”

Miss Lili’s eyes lit up with understanding. ”So, this old man isn’t a sweeping monk at all! He’s just a despicable villain!”

Yu Lan removed the mask from her face, her expression one of disbelief. ”I knew it! Even when I wore a mask and walked into the dust, I was still choking and couldn’t breathe. It turns out he wasn’t sweeping dust at all, but releasing poison gas from that tube!”

Zhao Rong continued to reveal the old man’s true identity. ”Old man, you aren’t a sweeping monk. You’re just a washed-up old lab technician who spent his life in a chemistry lab without any success, unable even to make ends meet.”

When the sweeping monk heard Zhao Rong expose his true identity, he flew into a rage. ”I say I’m a sweeping monk, so I am a sweeping monk! What right do you have to call me a failed, washed-up lab technician?!”

Just then, Zhao Rong took a scenario recreation screen from his pocket. He switched it on, and it began to display scenes from the old man’s past for everyone to see. As the screen played, Zhao Rong explained, ”This old man couldn’t make it in the chemistry lab anymore, so he went to find the villain, Hong Ju, and her son, Xiao Er. He got a job here in Bada Lane pretending to be some kind of master. In reality, he’s just a poser.”
