Chapter 1544: Chapter 40: Xiushui River Town

”Kill!”

Stiller forcefully sent the ion dagger into the chest of the Judger in front of him, then quickly sidestepped to the left front, and with a flick of his wrist, a terrifying crack appeared on the Judger’s black body.

The Judger stood dazedly on the hillside, like a tree cut by a lumberjack, swaying unwillingly until it finally lost balance and fell with a crash. Flames licking from the crack grew fiercer and swiftly engulfed its entire body.

The flames illuminated the Ranger’s transparent cockpit.

Stiller, having narrowly escaped with his life, was breathing heavily like a fish gasping for air in a dried-up pond, desperately sucking in the murky air inside the cockpit.

This was the fourth Judger he had defeated.

The brief battle of just over twenty seconds was fraught with danger.

The opponent’s hand speed was truly fast; the attack moves were both fierce and deadly, clearly a seasoned veteran hardened by years on the battlefield.

From the start of the confrontation, the opponent had at least three chances to kill him, while he had only one chance.

If it weren’t for the training in Mecha Martial Arts, if it weren’t for the experience of surviving countless battles, if it weren’t for biting through hellish training day and night, it might have been him lying on the ground today.

Recalling the dazzling light when the opponent’s ion light saber scraped across the mecha’s armor, Stiller felt utterly exhausted, drenched in sweat, his hair plastered to his forehead, his lips pale from the poor air inside the cockpit.

The margin between life and death was less than a centimeter.

Damn it, I’m still alive!

He reached out and pressed the switch for the air circulation system, to no avail. He then looked up at the damage system light above, and slammed his fist onto the console.

”Buzz,” the familiar sound came from the vent, fresh air injected into the cockpit and he could breathe freely once more.

Stiller greedily inhaled.

With the battle reaching this point, this intensity, he no longer hoped to leave the frontline alive.

The flashing red lights of the damage system indicated that the Ranger beneath him was already battered and bruised. One of the mecha’s arms was severed at the shoulder, and the electronic assistance system and energy shield had already failed. The external armor shattered into fragments hanging off the body, the shell covered in battle scars and dents.

With the mecha damaged like this, in any other situation, Stiller would have retreated long ago.

But now, he cannot leave.

Beside him, less than a hundred mecha remained in the Special Forces Camp. Even with miniature mechas for survival, the casualty rate exceeded fifty percent. Over two hundred warriors from Leray and Mars permanently remained at the frontline of position 152.

These were the elite of the bandit army. Their blood ensured that position 152, this small hill, despite enduring over a dozen assaults from the Western Alliance Army, remained firmly in the hands of the Fei Alliance Joint Army!

Since the bandit army was established, this army has never disappointed! It was true before, it is true today, and will be true in the future!

The optimistic, indifferent Leray people; the Mars people who suffered humiliation and aimed to seize this vast war sweeping humanity as a chance to fight for an honorable identity for themselves and their descendants, had long cast life and death aside.

This is on Chuckna’s land, this is Chuckna’s position. But equally, is it not Leray’s position? Is it not Mars’s position?!

Across from them lies the mortal enemy that initiated this war, invaded their homeland, and tore apart their families and loved ones.

Facing the same enemy, anywhere is the bandit army’s front!

This army, growing from small to large, from weak to strong, from Leray to Chuckna, exists only for one belief—to end this war with victory!

As long as there is one breath left, this belief will not dissipate.

As long as there is one soldier left, the bandit army’s position will not fall!

This collective is destined to be the strongest voice in this war!

To be part of it, to face the world’s most formidable enemy, to create and witness the miracles along the way in Mezrich’s upheaval and the decisive action in the Longbow Star System is every bandit army warrior’s honor.

A few Energy Cannons exploded nearby, and through the swirling smoke and flying dust, Stiller saw a Judger grabbing a Bandit Army Mecha, desperately thrusting the ion light saber forward.

”Screw you!”

With a roar, Stiller’s battered mecha transformed into a wounded lion at that moment, leaping up to kick the enemy to the ground, then pounced forward, grappling together.

At this moment, all forms, all tactics were cast aside. What remained was only the most primitive and bloodthirsty fight!

With several other Judgers and Rangers joining in, the scene became explosively chaotic. Mecha fists and kicks flew amid the smoke, ion daggers and ion light sabers swirled, and the deafening clash of metal and the agonizing cries of dying Mech Knights rose and fell.

On the hillside, thousands of mechas on both sides were locked in equally brutal, equally frenzied killing.

Wave after wave of Suss Mechas poured down from the opposite slope of the position, surging over the hill of position 152. These entirely gray, simple and heavy steel giants crowded together, jostled for position, raced towards where the grassroots commander pointed.

Clusters of mushroom clouds rose in this gray tide. At first, the covering fire scattered and sporadic, later connected into an extended barrage, rapidly spreading out, resembling a rolling stretch of red clouds.
