Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1511: Chapter 29: Blitzkrieg (12)

When Langman closed his eyes amidst the sky full of artillery fire, the Fei Alliance Command Center in Phoenix City simultaneously fell into a deathly silence.

A moment later, screams, laughter, and whistles suddenly erupted.

All the staff in the building stood up, roaring in approval for the shameless attack of the bandit army, applause like thunder, tables being slammed fiercely.

Who doesn’t understand the provocation intended by the Judger this time? Similarly, everyone can see how neat and impressive the bandit army’s move was, so invigorating!

At the foot of the mountain is the vast army of the Western Alliance.

The steel forest stretching beyond the horizon brought a sense of oppressive doom, reminiscent of impending thunderstorm clouds, to all the Fei Alliance warriors on the field.

Faced with such a powerful enemy, anyone would be careful.

When thirty Judgers appeared at the front, proposing a duel, everyone hesitated between accepting and refusing, wavering, indecisive.

But Stiller and his Special Forces Camp did not.

War is about using violence to subdue the enemy. To achieve this aim, the use of violence is almost unlimited.

Stiller wouldn’t naively think the bandit army mecha pilots could defeat the Judgers in a thirty against thirty battle, nor would he naively believe that cautiously avoiding angering the enemy would lessen the intensity of their attacks.

Facing this seemingly insurmountable challenge, he struck swiftly, shoving the scheme of the thirty Judgers right into their ass!

Trying to flaunt your power with a challenge, showing how formidable you are? How badass?

Want to kill bandit army mecha pilots at the front line, thereby shifting the momentum and setting the tone for battle, breaking through the Sunset Mountain Defense Line?

Dream on, I’ll make you lose both your wife and your soldiers!

Just as a few hours ago, the bandit army responded in the most direct manner, with the toughest answer — no matter how many of you there are, I’ll dare to start the fight first! First I’ll annihilate your thirty Judgers; if you have the skills, break through my lines!

I’ll beat you to death, you son of a bitch!

On the command podium, the General’s upright stance appeared unusually calm amidst the jubilant crowd. Their faces bore no smiles. As the surrounding comrades and generals punched the air with joyful faces, they focused intently on the SkyNet screen.

The screen was already a sea of flames.

After a long while, Margaret turned her head, meeting the heavy gaze of the Generals, and softly said, ”The battle has begun.”

Pereira stepped down from the retractable ladder of the command mecha, underfoot was the wild grass and soft soil of the hillside.

Walking more than twenty meters through woodland with winter’s withered branches, he could see through the weathered white birch trees flanking the slope, the two figures surrounded by staff at the edge.

The man appeared chubby and honest, with an air of innocence like a harmless small landlord. The woman was strikingly beautiful, graceful with an elegance only centuries-old aristocracies could instill.

Both were young, around twenty-seven or twenty-eight, just as green as the young staff under his command who weren’t yet capable of taking charge.

But only Pereira knew how formidable these two young individuals were.

They, in just a dozen hours, swept across thousands of troops, fighting from Frenso Town to the edge of the Charloks Mountain Range.

They always manage to identify enemy weaknesses in the shortest time, making astonishing tactical arrangements after precise judgments. Under their command baton, the Fei Alliance Joint Army was unstoppable.

Just like the most brilliant musicians, standing on the conductor’s platform before a grand orchestra, wielding their baton. The music flowed with the baton, sketching a string of notes. Whether high or low, always so smooth, so perfectly synchronized.

The raiding troops, racing, ambushing, forcing breakthroughs, maneuvering enclosures, surged like a flood without any pause, reaching this point.

Now, they stood on the mountaintop, using portable long-range viewers to observe the distant Jiepeng Defense Line, if one ignored their age and appearance, Pereira might have thought they were two old foxes surveying the henhouse behind the fence in the silent night.

”General Tian.” Pereira approached the electronic sandbox placed in the grass, greeted, then nodded to Bonnie.

His gaze crossed the valley floor below, towards the vaguely visible positions afar. Whether here or the behind stationed Suss 25 Army Group, they were old adversaries of the 33rd Army. No one knew this combat zone better.

”General Pereira.” Fatty turned back and together with Bonnie walked down the slope, leading a group of officers and staff to encircle the electronic sandbox.

”The intelligence from the front has just been summarized,” Fatty pointed to the edge of the sandbox with his finger, speaking to Pereira, ”I want to hear your views.”

Pereira lowered his head.

On the electronic sandbox before him, the undulating terrain seemed like a cake baked by a mediocre chef, the brown-green surface uneven and wrinkled, piled together.

Information boxes floated above the mountains on the sandbox.

The Jiepeng 25th Army Group’s force deployment in the 4th and 5th combat zones, troop movements, logistical transport, resource reserves, unit numbers, electronic interference intensity, etc., were clearly marked. Key coordinates for firepower assault, were also clearly listed.

Evidently, these were the credit of the elusive bandit army armored divisions with Reconnaissance Soldiers who surveyed enemy rear as their own backyard.
