Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1517: Chapter 31: Blitzkrieg (14)_2

”Follow up!” The officers by the roadside shouted spiritedly.

Like a dragon, the mechanical team briskly ran past. The communication channel was filled with playful banter from the warriors, and even the splashing mountain mud beneath the iron torrent seemed straightforward and crisp.

This battle was fought with great pleasure!

For a man in this world, isn’t living just about being happy?

The counterattack at Half Cloud Ridge, the Frenso battle, the war on the west bank of the Dorai River, the Saint John Town battle... Sunrise to sunset, in just one day, they have followed the bandit army all the way here!

Although the officers have kept the strategic objectives secret throughout the journey, yet being here, who doesn’t understand the ultimate destination now?

Thinking of this incredible destination, seeing the increasingly massive troops beside them, the warriors’ blood couldn’t help but boil.

This is a battle destined to be recorded in Human War History.

This is a war led by a madman, bringing along a group of madmen!

”Bandit army, Tian Xingjian...” Beize Xian studied the bandit army’s data. His razor-like eyebrows pressed lower and lower.

After seeing off the Lieutenant Colonel communications officer from Bellif, he spent five minutes identifying which unit annihilated the 2521st division.

He spent another ten minutes gathering relevant intelligence from the data repository.

This wasn’t Beize’s first time hearing the name Tian Xingjian, yet he never anticipated that this name, along with the army he leads, would unexpectedly plunge into his battle zone one day, tearing open a fifty-kilometer gap in one breath.

Beize watched the stereoscopic photo on the screen with some admiration.

This was a Fatty, short hair, a plump, white head held up by two conspicuous ears. His small eyes opened as wide as possible, clear in gaze, appearing somewhat curious when looking at the camera. On his face was a harmless smile, seemingly pleased with something, the mouth almost cracking to the ear roots.

Judging by the date at the bottom right of the photo, the war hadn’t yet erupted. This fellow dressed in a Corporal uniform stood by the riverside shaded with willows, belly out, trying hard to strike a suave pose.

That year he was twenty-two, this year he is twenty-seven.

If not for the facts laid plainly before him, Beize could hardly believe that in these four-plus years since the Leray National Defense War began, this guy shot up rocket-like from a Corporal to a Vice Admiral.

And during these years, what he accomplished was truly jaw-dropping.

It was precisely this guy who, in Gazalin, captured their Emperor, and alone infiltrated deep into enemy territory, assassinating Stephen and stepping on Victor, ending the Morton family’s reign in Gazalin.

Also, this very guy, with a single Destroyer, integrated a pirate-criminal-ridden Mars Free World, and in the Longbow Star System, captured Duke Hanfrey, seizing two full Binart Elephant-class Fleets.

Beneath his honest appearance lay a crazy mind—as evidenced by what he is currently doing.

”You are like the lead horse, guiding the herd behind you. You aim to unravel the entire front line with a strategic flanking maneuver, using such sheer force to break the impasse.”

Genius creativity!

Beize praised this in his heart, engraving the photograph deep into his memory, then closing his eyes.

”Commander, Eagle Mountain has fallen!”

The chief of staff’s somewhat panicked report did not prompt Beize to open his eyes. The old man simply sat quietly in his chair, a face thin and slightly blemished by age spots, cold and stone-like. It seemed that nothing could stir any waves in his heart.

War is a chess game paid with lives. To win, one must understand the opponent, study him, seeing through and beyond him.

”Frenso Town is in dire straits.” Beize’s voice was somewhat fluctuating.

He opened his eyes and looked at the chief of staff who seemed a bit dazed: ”Seven divisions have been completely annihilated, a hundred Judgers can be temporarily deemed missing. Moreover, the Saint John Town, Beiqi Mountain, and Billy Town array has evidently fallen into enemy hands.”

With the chief of staff at the helm, the staff officers were silent, their gaze shifting with Beize who stood up and moved to the SkyNet large screen.

Their intelligence system was in a closed state. Not only missing information from other battle zones, but even communication with the headquarters, Suss 21 Army Group, and units along the Tulun River line was lost. What Beize now said was all inferred from the reality that the bandit army was attacking the battle zone from the right wing.

Beize possessed a pair of eyes that could see through the fog.

”The enemy strength is roughly between nine to thirteen divisions, including four-fifths armored units and partial mechanized infantry. Mobility at six.” Beize gazed at the combat map, expressionless, ”Judging by the message blockade situation during earlier battles, the enemy has seized electronic advantage, activating a large number of intelligence and jamming terminals!”

Beize’s hand lightly tapped on the console. The entire command room heard only this monotonous tapping sound. ”They can reach here in such a short time and consume a division within half an hour, indicating extremely strong combat power, and also showing that the Leifeng Star Army’s reserve units weren’t diverted by Frenso Town but concentrated in the Sunset Mountain Battle Zone!”

”Sunset Mountain!” The staff erupted.

”Admiral,” the chief of staff took few steps forward to Beize’s side, ”are you saying Resk Main Army’s reserve units are all in place?”
