Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1535: Chapter 9-36: Blitz (19)_3

”Commander, enemy reconnaissance squad spotted six kilometers northeast of Maple Slope, my reconnaissance squad is closely monitoring them!”

Hearing the report from the forward vanguard through his headset, O’Neill sneered: ”These bastards arrived quite quickly! Send the intel back to the command center.”

With that, he pulled the control lever, his right hand flying over the virtual keyboard, pressing more than twenty control keys in an instant.

The Ranger raced down the slope, performing a flip at the bottom of the valley, landing steadily. The immense impact caused the mecha’s suspension and hydraulic leg shock absorbers to sink suddenly, quickly restoring the mecha’s posture.

The impressive flip maneuver and the precise coordination of the suspension shock absorbers earned a round of applause from the warriors.

O’Neill contentedly cracked his fingers, producing sharp clicks as he drove his mecha into the advancing formation.

Three years ago, he was a platoon leader in the Fierce Tiger Special Camp; now, he has become the regiment commander of the Bandit Army’s Second Armored Division.

Although, given the merits accumulated from years of battles across the country, this promotion speed isn’t unusual in the era where countless officers rise like rockets, he is already very satisfied.

Remember, when he and Fatty went to rescue Russell, he was merely a Level 7 Mecha Warrior, fretting over his ranking in the War Fire. And now, he has become a Super Mechanic with hand speed exceeding fifty actions, with enhanced mecha martial arts, controlling nearly sixty actions per second in actuality!

This achievement, among the Bandit Army’s group of Mars civilian mechanists, doesn’t stand out much; even within his Armored Group, it only ranks average. But that’s only considering the Bandit Army’s standards.

If placed in any other country’s ranks in this world, a mechanist with actual control exceeding sixty actions would be a national treasure. The Militaries of various countries would practically worship them like ancestors!

O’Neill doesn’t want to be worshipped. He prefers being a regiment commander in the Bandit Army rather than switching to another unit for the post of an army general!

This is truly a mecha era. For the people of this era, nothing is more prideful than standing at the pinnacle of control skills, dominating the world like Swordsmen. Be it an army general or regiment commander, no military rank or position can surpass unparalleled control skills!

Especially as the commander of a group of super mecha warriors, whenever he thinks about the kind of unit he leads, O’Neill feels a fire burning in his heart, growing fiercer.

From Gazalin to Bermuda, everyone in the Second Armored Division has been rigorously practicing the mecha martial arts taught by Fatty.

Although in terms of hand speed, these Leray Warriors can’t match the civilian mechanists from Mars Free World, their efficiency and ferocity in combat are higher!

And ever since the restructuring of the Bandit Army, the combat and command structure of each division and regiment has become more rational.

Fatty promoted numerous battle-experienced Leray Mecha Soldiers to grassroots officers, forming the backbone of the Bandit Army, while supplementing the First and Second Armored Divisions with Mars Mecha Warriors constituting seventy percent of the total number.

If, before this, most of these civilian mechanists who hadn’t undergone wartime tempering were not considered true mecha warriors, then now, veterans from any elite force of any nation wouldn’t dare utter a word in front of these guys.

Tempering doesn’t require a long time. Twenty hours across the five theatres of battle are enough to release the tenacity and ruthlessness engraved from birth into the Mars exiles’ bones.

Mars’ law of the jungle is no more harmonious than war.

When these guys, with an average hand speed of sixty actions, accustomed to atrocities just for survival, adapt to the rhythm of war and the seemingly not-so-bloody slaughter, just standing in front of them, you can feel a sharp aura like a blade!

Nothing can restrain them. If your glance is even slightly off, the next second, their dagger will slice through your ribs directly into your heart!

This strategic maneuver, perhaps unimaginable to others, is merely a trial before fully releasing combat power for the Bandit Army.

Every second, O’Neill can feel the monstrous growth of the Bandit Army.

He believes, sooner or later, he will follow Fatty’s command, leading his super mecha warriors to shock the entire world!

Perhaps, that day has already arrived!

Beep beep beep, the mechanical computer transmitted encrypted files from the electronic mecha.

In the mountain hollow two kilometers from Maple Slope, O’Neill raised the mecha’s mechanical arm, simultaneously inputting his credentials on the computer to unlock the file.

He knows what his mission is.

When the enemies are still focused on 49 Peak, they won’t realize the Jiepeng 25th Army Group has collapsed entirely, unable to impact the battle situation.

The ensuing change means Fatty, the commander, has no intention of leaving Suss 21st Army Group as a hidden threat.

With a strategic move, Maple Slope, five kilometers southeast of 49 Peak, will be a massacre!

Behind him, over a thousand Bandit Army Mechas quickly assembled, forming a massive foot-of-the-mountain assault formation.

In front of him, the computer decryption progress bar is full, flashing, revealing the command.

”Unlimited, kill!”
