Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1525: Chapter 33: Blitz (16)_3

After breaking through Wolf Mountain, the bandit army quickly advanced toward Gyroscope Valley.

At a location 60 kilometers from Gyroscope Valley, the reconnaissance units unexpectedly encountered the enemy reconnaissance squad. A fierce exchange of fire ensued. The battle lasted ten minutes and ended with the bandit’s reconnaissance squad suffering zero casualties, killing twenty-two opponents, and capturing eight.

After urgently interrogating the enemy, the reconnaissance squad followed the clues and discovered the enemy’s main force rushing west at high speed, attempting an ambush in the valley south of Gyroscope Valley.

Under Fatty’s command, the bandit’s Second Armored Division Group 2 undertook a forced march, arriving at the southern valley before the enemy could reach the ambush site, occupying advantageous terrain. They continued to annihilate the enemy’s two armored groups advancing from the northeast and east, and pursued the victory, blocking the westward path of the Jiepeng Forces defending Gyroscope Valley.

One hour later, the bandit’s main force successfully passed through Gyroscope Valley. The First Armored Division of the bandit army then turned to the east to attack the Jiepeng western forces with full force.

After half an hour of fierce fighting, knowing it was impossible to hold back the bandit’s main force in the 5th Combat Zone, the deputy commander of the Jiepeng 25 Army Group ordered a withdrawal after suffering heavy losses.

So far, the Jiepeng 25 Army Group thoroughly cleared the passage.

Standing in the bandit army’s way is only the Suss 21st Army Group!

*************************************

”The current position of the Suss 21st Army Group is approximately here, with a force of four divisions. Due to difficult terrain in the mountains and the insufficient mobility provided by the few tourist-grade roads, they adopted a dispersed marching-in-step strategy. Their advance units should have already approached the 49 Peak line.”

Before the operational map next to the Command Mecha, Pereira gestured with the electronic pen in his hand: ”If it weren’t for my Charloks Battlefield forces launching a counteroffensive at the command headquarters’ orders against the front-zone of the Suss 21st Army Group, the enemy’s advance speed might have been faster.”

In front of Pereira, on two rows of alloy chairs, a dozen bandit army and alliance forces division-level officers either listened intently, stared at the map in deep thought, or whispered discussions.

The Mecha cockpit, with its strong oil scent, occasionally jolted with the Mecha’s movement. Amid the roar of the engine, one could faintly hear the teeth-grinding creak of the suspension system stretching and contracting.

Outside the window, the alternating light and dark forest slopes flashed by. As the mountains turned, light gradually brightened. The retreating hillside suddenly tumbled down a cliff, and the view opened up.

Looking far off, mountain ranges are layered, and the sky’s flowing clouds appear aflame. Wisps of clouds half-cover and half-reveal, as a smudge of setting sun quietly burns. On the mountainside, at the foot of the mountain, across the undulating hills, meadows, and stream banks, countless alliance Mecha lines up parallelly, resembling an endless caravan in the desert, majestically heading north.

”The current situation is roughly like this,” Pereira put down the electronic pen in his hand, raised his hand to check the time, ”The enemy’s intention is clear: seize 49 Peak. Cut off our northward route. Through the 5th Combat Zone, the key lies in who is faster!”

”This was predictable; the enemy can easily deduce our strategy and see the importance of 49 Peak,” Bonnie stood up, her mouth quirking slightly: ”But we are not afraid of them.”

The sunlight penetrating the windows cast slanted beams in the cabin. Countless dust particles danced in the light beams, resembling splashing waves at a flood gate. The girl’s slender and graceful figure bathed in sunlight, her red hair like flames ignited by the sunset.

Gazing at Bonnie in front of them, the officers momentarily lost focus.

Along the way, Bonnie’s military command abilities have been recognized by all.

What everyone remembers is her precise cutting-edge command at Frenso Town, the fierce collision on the Dorai River West Bank, and her decisive attacks like cutting tofu since Saint John Town. Her beauty is less impressive compared to her decisive and relentless slaughter.

At this moment, seeing this mesmerizingly beautiful face, everyone suddenly realized that some women’s wisdom and beauty are proportional. Although rare, just one or two can enchant and conquer the world with their absolute allure.

Thinking about this sole woman in the Mythical Army, who is now the bandit’s Commander, the officers feel a profound sense of historical change.

It’s as if this war has been fought for many years. In the chaos of war, many people and events have been propelled onto completely different paths by the wheels of destiny.

No one knows where Reinhardt, the former Legion Commander of the Mythical Army who fled Gazalin, is now.

”However, I believe that after dealing with the Jiepeng 25 Army Group, everyone no longer places the strategic position of 49 Peak as the top priority.”

Bonnie’s voice brought everyone back from their brief distraction. Watching her open the electronic document in her hand, she said: ”According to intelligence from headquarters, after suffering a defeat in Feisha Valley, the Jiepeng 25 Army Group inexplicably fell into complete disarray.

Under Major General Margaret’s command, my stationed forces in Bilin Mountain and Jingfeng Valley have now fully launched a counteroffensive. Not only have we recovered significant lost territory, but we also encircled and annihilated two groups of the Jiepeng 2513 Armored Division.”

The more they listened, the brighter the officers’ eyes became. When Bonnie closed the document folder, some division commanders couldn’t help but cheer.
