Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

230: I only said I’d give you a quick death.”You?” Geng Datong felt a chill all over, every cell in his body trembling. A devil, Si Nan was a devil.

”Then let’s start with the legs. They’re an eyesore. Without legs, you won’t even be able to crawl away, and I can torture you however I please.” Gu Jie drew his saber, channeling his Supernatural Ability, and swiftly slashed at Geng Datong’s two elephantine legs.

”I’ll talk!” With the situation completely lost, Geng Datong accepted reality and quickly confessed the location of his warehouse.

Si Nan stroked her chin in thought. ”S City? That’s so far. Give me something closer.”

”No, my warehouse is actually in S City. I only managed to find the warehouse after painstakingly controlling the base there. I don’t know about others.”

Geng Datong’s old face wore an expression of ’I truly know nothing about other warehouses,’ looking as sincere as could be.

”Oh? Is that so? Then you’re no longer valuable. Cut off his legs,” Si Nan’s expression suddenly turned cold. She didn’t want to waste any more breath on this old fellow.

”Not being honest, huh? Then we’ll chop off one leg at a time until you become a Human Stick.” Gu Jie’s swift blade chopped down.

”There are ones in D City and E City. One is in the east called Wanjia Supermarket, and the other is in the south called Haoyouhui Grand Superstore. Both are on the third underground level.”

Geng Datong clutched the knife in Gu Jie’s hand tightly, his whole body drenched as if washed by water. With a pale face, he said, ”I’ve told you all my trump cards for survival. Can you let me go now?”

”Let you go? You’ve misunderstood. I only said I would give you a quick death.” Si Nan didn’t even glance at Geng Datong. With a slight flick of her wrist, an ancient saber flew from her, severing Geng Datong’s neck in one strike.

The moment the ancient saber flew back, Geng Datong clutched his spurting neck, his eyes wide open and unable to rest in peace as he stared at Si Nan’s retreating back.

”So fast!” Gu Jie was standing right in front of Geng Datong. Fortunately, he noticed Si Nan’s aura change and quickly dodged, otherwise, he would have been drenched in blood.

But Si Nan astonished him. At such close range, he hadn’t even seen how Si Nan had struck. Her speed was too fast; the ancient saber just flashed past his eyes with a ’whoosh.’

Furthermore, when the ancient saber flew back, its blade was still as bright as snow, without a single trace of blood. This could only be achieved when moving at absolute maximum speed, as if the saber had never killed anyone.

Sister Nan is terrifying. After not making a move for eight years, keeping a low profile, her first appearance is incredibly cool!

”What’s wrong? Don’t tell me you’re scared?” Si Nan poked Gu Jie’s shoulder with her knife.

”No, just a small scene. I was startled by your skill. Even though I also possess a Supernatural Ability, I feel inferior.” Gu Jie recovered and shook his head.

Si Nan was long accustomed to such compliments. ”It’s just that I’ve killed more people. Let’s go. It’s been a long time since I went out for a walk. Let’s go get the goods from those three warehouses.”

Gu Jie’s eyes lit up. This was the first time he would go out searching for supplies with Si Nan, and he was delighted. ”Immediately. I’ll go prepare the large truck and fill the helicopter with fuel.”

Si Nan interrupted him. ”No large truck. Just fill the helicopter with fuel.”

Gu Jie, who was about to sprint off with his long legs, suddenly froze. ”Where will we load the stuff? Oh, right. Sister Nan is wise. Of course, we’ll find a large truck nearby after we reach the supermarket. I’ll go get the fuel.”

Si Nan didn’t explain and walked slowly behind him. On the way, they met Zhou Zhi and Wang Zhan. ”Sister Nan, are you going out? Can you take us along? It’s been many years since we’ve been outside.”

”You’re that happy to go out with me?” Si Nan smiled.

”Yes, yes, of course, we’re happy to go out with you, Sister Nan.” Zhou Zhi and Wang Zhan nodded quickly, their faces full of anticipation.

But Si Nan said, ”No. There are only three of you capable ability users holding the fort in the Residential Area. If all of you leave, what happens if an enemy like Geng Datong shows up?”

”You stay!” Zhou Zhi and Wang Zhan pointed at each other.

Si Nan ignored them and walked past them. The two behind her were still arguing.

”I’ll go.”

”I’ll go. You’ve gone out with Brother Sen many times already; it’s my turn.”

”But that was with Brother Sen, not Sister Nan. I don’t care; I’m going. You can go next time. Hurry up and go.”

”Hey, you brat, daring to push me? Dream on. I’m the one going.”

The two were pushing and shoving, neither yielding, when Mao Xin walked up to them. ”That’s enough. Both of you go. I’ll stay and look after the place.”

”Thanks, Brother Mao.” Zhou Zhi and Wang Zhan were overjoyed and quickly chased after Si Nan.

Fifteen minutes later, the helicopter took off. Looking down from the air, there were no longer dense crowds of zombies, but vibrant life with rampant vegetation.

Unfortunately, it was no longer like before the Apocalypse. This grass and these trees had mutated after being contaminated by the zombies’ black blood, making them unafraid of the severe cold and grow wildly year-round.

They would only dry up during the scorching heat if there was a long period without rain. But if they weren’t completely dead, they would revive to full health with the next rain and continue growing. Every year, The Authorities would spray an inhibitor from planes over inhabited cities; otherwise, people would probably be completely enveloped by plants.

Yunshu Mountain Villa and the Residential Area were cleared twice a year. The cut vegetation was left to dry in the open space outside the courtyard and used as firewood. There were also a few trees that hadn’t been contaminated by the black blood, which continued to grow normally.

The situation in A City was much better. Due to the Strong Acid Rain eight years ago, no vegetation grew for the next five years. It wasn’t until the sixth year that sparse wild grass began to sprout from the soil.

Two years later, the grass and trees had gradually increased. Looking down from the air, A City was the complete opposite of the neighboring cities; compared to them, A City presented a barren and desolate scene.

Meanwhile, the surrounding cities were lush and verdant, incredibly flourishing.

With a quick ascent and descent, the helicopter soon arrived at Wanjia Supermarket in the east of D City. Above the ground level stood a high-rise building of over twenty stories. As the helicopter approached, a group of people nearby spotted them.

”Get lost! We found this place first, or don’t blame us for being impolite.”

Si Nan, wearing a protective helmet, was the first to disembark from the helicopter. The opposing group ran over and surrounded the aircraft, their greed for the helicopter clear in their eyes.

Zhou Zhi and Wang Zhan disembarked together, standing on either side of Si Nan. They gestured toward the opposing group’s entire ensemble and said, ”You don’t even have a single gun, yet you’re acting so tough. I advise you to clear out quickly, or I won’t be polite to you.”

The eight people opposite were all young, the oldest barely in their early twenties—a group of young lads. Their leader looked back at Zhou Zhi and Wang Zhan and said, ”You don’t have guns either. Don’t worry, we aren’t interested in your helicopter because even if you gave it to us, we wouldn’t know how to fly it. We don’t care if you’re here for supplies, but we got to this building first. You should understand the code of ’first come, first served,’ right?”

Wang Zhan laughed heartily. ”Hahahaha, I think you eight have been isolated for too long and gone foolish? Jianghu morality in the Apocalypse? That sounds ridiculous, though you do have a bit of chivalry in you. Fine, how about this: the ground is yours, and the underground levels are ours. Whatever you find depends on your luck. That should be acceptable now, right?”

”Why? Both the underground and the ground floors belong to us. If you want them, go somewhere else.”
