Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

214: Sure enough, following Sister Nan means you’ll get what you want.Lü Quan was furious. ”I rushed back with great difficulty, how can I let it all go to waste now? There’s nowhere to hide here. Only by taking this Residential Area can we survive.”

”Everyone listen up! Half of you go out and deal with the zombies and those who have been bitten—kill them all to prevent them from attacking us. The other half, break through the gate of the Residential Area as quickly as possible. Use the cutting machine and electric drill. Once we take this Residential Area, our good days will begin!”

”Don’t forget, that woman Si Nan has stockpiled more supplies than we could ever eat. Everyone, charge!”

”Yes, boss! Charge! Good days are just ahead!” The crowd’s morale soared, shouting and clamoring for a fight, creating a grand scene.

Si Nan watched those people coldly. If she could avoid wasting bullets, she would, since each one used was one less—firearms weren’t easy to come by.

She sneered. Lü Quan probably had no idea how the previous group had died, yet he was ordering his men to cut through the gate.

About a dozen people were preparing, and they moved quickly. They drove the vehicle outside the gate, connected the chainsaw, started the engine—all in one smooth motion. The piercing roar of the chainsaw soon echoed.

Protected by his bodyguards, Lü Quan stood to one side of the gate. A triumphant, sinister grin was already plastered on his old face, so excited it was as if the good days had already arrived. He imagined himself living in Si Nan’s coveted safe house, with mountains of supplies right before him, all his alone!

”Ahahaha—” ”You’re laughing too soon, you old pervert.” Just as Lü Quan was reveling in his good at, he suddenly heard Si Nan’s icy, disdainful voice from inside.

Just as the chainsaw was about to start cutting into the gate, the row of anti-climbing spikes at the top of the gate suddenly folded and bent down, all pointing directly at Lü Quan and his men.

By the time Lü Quan and his lackeys realized the tips of the spikes had small holes, an aura of death pressed down on them. Everyone turned to flee, but it was already too late.

”Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—” Flames shot out from the small holes, extending up to three meters. Everyone, including Lü Quan, was engulfed in the blaze, their clothes burning fiercely, impossible to extinguish.

Lü Quan rolled on the ground, tumbling into a puddle. He thought it was melted snow, but he’d forgotten that before they arrived, there had been a Strong Acid Rain. The moment his skin touched the rainwater, he let out a pig-slaughter-like scream. ”Ah, it hurts! My hand, my hand?”

His right hand visibly dissolved. The Strong Acid Rain acted like concentrated sulfuric acid; in just a few seconds, his entire right hand was gone. His burned and tattered down jacket was soaked through, and his whole body felt as if ten thousand boning knives were scraping away his flesh—unbearable.

”Ah!” After one final, piercing scream, Lü Quan collapsed to the ground, soon reduced to a pile of bloody bones.

”Serves you right. Evil begets evil.” Those behind Si Nan felt immensely satisfied. ”You old fool, trying to seize our Residential Area? You’d better go see the King of Hell first.”

The few remaining stragglers were chased down and dealt with by Gu Jie and the others.

Meanwhile, the west gate guarded by Jian Bing was also cleared, and they even environmentally-friendly confiscated the enemies’ weapons. The south and north gates were handled by Gu Jie’s five subordinates respectively.

This wave of enemy attacks was finally over.

Si Nan checked the surroundings of the Residential Area via her phone’s surveillance, confirming there were no survivors, then headed back.

Soon, Jian Bing returned as well. ”These people probably aren’t from City A. They were incited by Lü Quan to serve as cannon fodder. Even if they’d succeeded today, that Lü Quan wouldn’t have let them into the Residential Area.”

Si Nan flexed her wrists, preparing to make dinner. ”Lü Quan was quite a character, able to incite so many people to risk their lives for him. Too bad he chose the wrong target this time—he chose me.”

”Right, he chose the wrong Apprentice. But Apprentice, I feel more people will come, because you’re too famous.” Jian Bing looked at Si Nan with a bit of heartache.

Si Nan shook her head with a bitter smile. ”It’s all because of those neighbors before, posting videos for no reason? It made me a public enemy. Everyone wants to take me and my house down. Is it wrong to be beautiful?”

”But your Apprentice isn’t afraid. If one comes, I’ll kill one; if two come, I’ll kill a pair.”

”Hahaha, don’t worry. With your master here, anyone who dares bully my Apprentice, I’ll snap them.” Jian Bing laughed, making a gesture.

”Yeah, master and Apprentice, united as one.” Si Nan and Jian Bing high-fived, happily enjoying a lavish dinner together, preparing for the next enemy attack.

This time, they didn’t even show their faces, relying solely on traps to kill. Gu Jie and the others refilled the traps with good gasoline. Director Lin and the others inventoried the confiscated weapons, distributing them to ensure everyone had a suitable weapon in hand.

For their collective merit in defending against the enemy today, Si Nan gave them extra rations: ten pounds of beef, eight pounds of pork, and a case of beer. The women were now happily preparing a feast, overjoyed.

”As expected, following Sister Nan means there’s meat to eat.”

At night, the stars twinkled—a beautiful evening. The only downside was the bloody scent from the day’s corpses, which attracted scattered zombies from nearby. After eating the corpses, they refused to leave, all gathering around the Residential Area trying to find a way in.

Si Nan checked the number—over thirty. Since she had nothing better to do, she went up to the third floor to practice. She dealt with the nearest few zombies and was adjusting her sniper rifle’s angle to target the others when

she suddenly noticed a pitch-black Zombie Cat nimbly climbing the wall toward a withered tree, climbing all the way to the top in an attempt to jump inside the wall.

”Alright, you’re it.” The sniper rifle locked onto the Zombie Cat, and a bullet shot out.

”Roar!” The cat was hit, screeched, and fell from the tree.

Si Nan’s gaze followed the Zombie Cat. The fallen cat wasn’t dead; it got up and started climbing the tree again, even faster than before. Before reaching the top, it leaped.

Just as it was about to jump inside the wall, Si Nan’s heart suddenly tightened. ”Not good!”

She put down the sniper rifle and sprinted downstairs. She had to kill that Zombie Cat as quickly as possible, or it would be disastrous. At the same time, she called Gu Jie. ”Quick, have the patrol team hide in the guardhouse. A Zombie Cat got in.”

”What? Right away!” Gu Jie was about to rest but, upon hearing this, grabbed his jacket and ran out, calling the patrol team leader as he went.

In the southwest corner, the Zombie Cat, upon landing, immediately caught the scent of delicious human flesh and took off running. It soon spotted the running patrol team—Building Head Ge Yue leading two teenagers.

”Hurry, hurry, hurry! The Zombie Cat is chasing us!” Ge Yue heard the heavy, urgent pursuit sounds behind him like an earthquake. He looked back, and his expression turned grim.

”What a huge Zombie Cat! You two, don’t look back, just run! The guardhouse is right ahead.”

”Yes!” The two teenagers felt the threat of death for the first time, closing their eyes and charging forward.

”Roar!” The Zombie Cat drooled and roared, leaping into the air to pounce on Ge Yue.
