Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

229: If there’s any hope, each person will finish the job with a knife. However, when the bullet hit the wall, it sparked with a ”bang.” After fine white dust flaked off the surface, the wall remained intact, not moving an inch, let alone collapsing.

”What?” The enemies looked completely stunned, unable to believe that a mere perimeter wall couldn’t be pierced even by a powerful Sniper Rifle.

”Again!” The leader didn’t believe it and ordered them to keep firing.

”Stop.” Geng Datong raised his hand to stop them. After all, he was in construction and was quite knowledgeable.

He understood instantly. ”Don’t waste bullets. This is ultra-hard stainless steel; bullets can’t pierce it at all. Too extravagant! To use such high-quality steel for a Residential Area wall?”

”What a waste of precious resources! A total waste!”

Geng Datong looked angrily at Si Nan inside the guardroom. He wasn’t a fool; her standing so openly behind the glass window meant it was bulletproof glass that bullets couldn’t break.

Dammit, this Residential Area was practically a fortress. No wonder she could survive in the Apocalypse; this woman was not simple at all. Setting everything else aside, that expensive steel wasn’t something an ordinary person could get, let alone in such quantities to build a long wall like the Great Wall.

She was simply not human!

She must have emptied the steel mills in City A long ago. There must be a massive amount of supplies stored in the Residential Area.

No! He had to take this place today no matter how hard it was. Otherwise, his long journey would be for nothing, and his base back home would have already been taken by others. He’d end up empty-handed on both sides.

In other words, the better the Residential Area was renovated, the more satisfied he would be. Once he took it, wouldn’t it be his? Hahaha~

Thinking of this, Geng Datong’s hope reignited. ”Kill them! After we blow them up, we’ll find a way to enter the Residential Area.”

”Well said, then let’s begin.” Si Nan’s lips curled.

Gu Jie and the others had been impatient for a long time. They’d let Geng Datong jump around for so long; it was time to slaughter him. The firing ports around the guardroom opened, and Director Lin and the others began their strafe.

Eight years of practice had made their shooting pinpoint accurate. They didn’t waste a single bullet, giving each person exactly one. In less than twenty seconds, everyone around Geng Datong was dead.

”Run, run, run! Hurry and run!” Seeing things weren’t right, Geng Datong ran the fastest, taking first place.

He truly never imagined that besides the wall’s mechanisms, the guardroom also had firing ports. How was he supposed to fight this battle? More than half of his men had died in these two encounters, and Si Nan was also using long-range Sniper Rifles. There was no chance of winning.

He could only rely on Gangzi and Daquan now.

”Don’t get close.” After running out of firing range, Geng Datong gave the order. He counted the survivors; there were fewer than twenty people left.

How hateful! He had brought over fifty people in total, and now the main gate was covered in corpses.

To stall for time, he shouted to Si Nan, ”You woman, you’re too ruthless! Killing without blinking! We just wanted to find a stable place. There are so many houses in the Residential Area; just give us one. Was it necessary to start a massacre?”

”How about this? I surrender. Let’s stop fighting and make an exchange.”

Si Nan raised her hand. ”When things are too strange, there’s bound to be a trick. Call Zhou Zhi and Wang Zhan; check the Residential Area immediately. This old man dared to come to the door to snatch the Residential Area; he must have brought Ability Users.

Let them be careful. Kill any they catch. Tell everyone not to go out, close the doors and windows, and stay inside until the battle is over.”

”Okay, they’ve been through many battles; they should know what to do. I’ll remind them.” Gu Jie and Director Lin turned their backs to Geng Datong and took out their phones to make calls.

As expected, Zhou Zhi didn’t answer, but Wang Zhan did. ”Two Ability Users sneaked into the Residential Area from the back. We’ve already killed one, and we’re hunting the other.”

”Good job.” Gu Jie sneered. ”It’s settled. They’re handling it.”

Si Nan’s beautiful eyes flickered. She deliberately entertained Geng Datong, thinking she might get some valuable information about supplies out of him. ”Then tell me, what will you exchange with me? And what do you want to exchange for?”

By now, Geng Datong didn’t see the need to lie. He listed his terms directly: ”One, I’ll use half a warehouse of food to exchange for one building in the Residential Area. You can pick any building for me.

Two, after we enter, we can build a wall in the middle to separate our living areas and not disturb each other.

Three, you should know that Soil Improvers are priceless. I’ll use ten extremely precious vials of Soil Improver to exchange for half of the land in the Residential Area’s green belt. I’ll fence it off, and your people aren’t allowed to step foot there.

Four, I was lucky enough to get a few expensive Human Gene Modification Serums. I can sell you a few so you can see if you have the luck to awaken a Supernatural Ability in this lifetime.

The premise is that you have to offer something I find worthy. In short, I can get good things you can’t. Without me, you wouldn’t even dream of seeing things like Soil Improvers or Gene Modification Serums.”

As he spoke, his lecherous old eyes wandered over Si Nan’s body, which was enough to infuriate the protective Gu Jie and the others. ”You deserve to die!”

Director Lin was almost dying of laughter. ”Should I say you’re ignorant? You have some skill. Should I say you’re smart? You’re a complete fool.”

Geng Datong’s old eyes immediately shot out murderous intent. ”Usually, people who talk to me like that die very miserably.”

”What a coincidence. Usually, for someone who dares to look at me with such lecherous eyes, I’ll make even death a luxury for him.” Si Nan crossed her arms and laughed loudly, already looking at Geng Datong as if he were a dead man.

Gu Jie intentionally tried to provoke Geng Datong to death. ”Old man, you might not know. First, we don’t need Soil Improvers; second, if we wanted them, we wouldn’t need to spend a cent; Sister Nan can get them easily.

Third, for an old guy like you who’s about to be buried, Gene Modification Serums are a waste even if you use them.

Fourth, your two little thief Ability Users are already dead. So, it’s your turn next.”

After speaking, Gu Jie suddenly opened the guardroom door, leaped outside the main gate, and ran toward Geng Datong. His speed was so fast that in the blink of an eye, he was in front of Geng Datong, a force sweeping through everything.

He sent everyone around Geng Datong flying and grabbed Geng Datong by the throat. ”Old man, how does it feel to have your neck grabbed by the power of a Supernatural Ability? I’m sorry to say, I awakened my Supernatural Ability eight years ago. Surprised?

Speak. Where is your warehouse? Tell me, and I can give you a quick death. Otherwise, I’ll make you die after suffering a hundred kinds of torture.”

Si Nan walked over leisurely and kicked the half-dead people with her foot, clicking her tongue in wonder. ”Oh my, they actually didn’t fall to their deaths. Their physical quality is quite good.

I say, Director Lin, you guys should quickly check if they can still be saved. If they can, give each of them another stab. If not, help them find peace. They look so pitiful.

And you, Gu Jie, be gentler. You haven’t even choked that old guy’s face red enough. Once you get the answer, just snap his neck.”

”Yes, Sister Nan.” Gu Jie replied with a smile.
