Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

226: I’m the only one who can seriously fool kids.Being called ’little dwarves’ by their own Mommy, the Seven Evildoers weren’t angry at all. Every time Mommy called them ’little dwarves’ was when she was happiest and loved them the most.

Yay, the gift was right, Mommy isn’t angry with them anymore. Daddy understands Mommy best.

”Nan Nan, do you like the gift the Children gave you?” Luo Sen also returned, his face beaming with joy, in an exceptionally good mood because the Children had grown up and understood how to love their Mommy.

In this world, there was nothing that pleased him more than this.

”I like it, of course I like it, I like it immensely.” A certain woman who loved treasures was as happy as a Child, flying around in the fighter jet. With this big treasure, they could all go out together for anything in the future.

Perfect!

Luo Sen knew it would be like this. He shook his head and said to the Seven Evildoers, ”See? If you make a mistake in the future, just casually bring back a treasure, and your Mommy will forget everything.”

”Yay, Daddy is mighty.” The Seven Children high-fived Luo Sen one after another.

During dinner, Luo Sen spoke frankly, not avoiding the Seven Children at all. He believed that since the Apocalypse, the Children had had very little contact with the outside world, and it was even more necessary for them to understand the Apocalypse nine years later.

”Recently, when I went out, those people from the outer city were fighting fiercely, with bloody and cruel methods, devoid of any humanity. Anything they fancied, including items and women, became their targets for snatching.

Regardless of gender, age, or youth, they killed everyone without batting an eye.

Although the Strong Acid Rain eight years ago destroyed most of our A-City’s supplies, the supplies hidden in houses and underground are still there. Those underground treasures are still highly sought after by them.

After being sealed for eight years, the supplies in other cities have long been plundered, and only now have they thought of our A-City.”

Si Nan chimed in, ”Then before coming to our A-City, J-City must have been plundered clean. Let them fight over it; the best supplies are already with us.

Over eight years, Song Yuan and Gu Jie have already searched A-City countless times. What’s left is what we don’t care for. Just firewood alone is piled up like mountains, enough to burn for another twenty years.

Plus the accumulated crops, straw, and rice stalks over these eight years, we could sit still and still have enough to burn for thirty years. No fear, no fear.”

Luo Sen picked up Si Nan’s favorite dish, which was in front of Fourth Treasure, and placed it in front of Si Nan, personally serving her half a bowl. He said, ”Of course we have nothing to fear, but Uncle Ji is afraid. He called me this morning asking if I had any extra firewood to sell to Barrier City.

According to him, Barrier City’s coal is almost depleted. If it weren’t for the television being hydro-powered, they would have lost electricity long ago. Barrier City is terribly poor.”

Si Nan: ”---”

Little Seventh Treasure immediately suggested, ”Then let’s pick up Grandfather and Grandmother tonight! They can come back and enjoy their golden years. We haven’t seen Grandfather and Grandmother in so long, okay?”

”Right, right, let’s go pick up Grandfather and Grandmother quickly, so they don’t have to suffer in Barrier City at their age. We can take care of Grandfather and Grandmother!”

The other Six Treasures also looked at Si Nan and Luo Sen with sparkling eyes, in agreement.

Si Nan glanced at the Children, calmly eating, ”Nonsense! You just want to go out and play. Don’t use your Mom’s Grandfather and Grandmother as an excuse; they are very busy.

And they are healthy, not ’old’ as you say.

However, what your Daddy said is absolutely true. To put it simply: the world completely changed with the outbreak of the zombie virus nine years before you were born, when this anomaly began.

Humanity reached the brink of extinction, which you yourselves have seen. If it weren’t for outsiders, A-City would only have us at Yunshu Mountain Villa and the survivors in this Residential Area.

But one thing remains unchanged: we still live on the wasteland contaminated by the mutated black blood of zombies, just like other survivors.

Fortunately, your Daddy and I had foresight at the beginning of the Apocalypse, taking over this Residential Area and Yunshu Mountain Villa, and protecting them as our last stronghold for survival.

And your Daddy, Uncle Gu Jie, as well as Master Jian, Uncle Song, Uncle Bai, and others frequently go out to search for supplies, mostly not for food, but for materials and fuel to maintain and repair these two places.

And in the process of searching for materials and fuel, they saw too many weak people die, and strong people become even stronger. Until a new era arrived, which is the era we are now in—the era of all survivors’ bloody struggle for resources.

For example, the fighter jet you snatched. Over these nine years, whether it was fighter jets that were produced, or mobile weapons and houses built by others.

Or The Authorities’ continuous clearing of zombies, searching for food, dismantling and annexing every abandoned houses (discarded house) to become fuel and propulsion for their weaponized houses.

The ultimate goal is to survive, and by now in the Apocalypse, most people have long lost their morality and conscience, leaving only unscrupulousness.

And in this zombie anomaly, groups like you seven and those old people and children are in the most vulnerable position, becoming playthings and prisoners of the strong.

They are clearly free, living people, yet they become private property for whoever captures them, to be bought, sold, and exchanged for other items by their owners at will.

The world seems to have returned to its original primitive society. Many women and children, once caught, are chained like dogs and displayed at the door with clear price tags.

Lucky women are bought, serve men well, and can have a good life, with food and water. Lucky children are bought, fulfill their duties as slaves, work diligently without complaint, and can barely survive.

Only a few stubborn women who still retain their dignity become sacrifices, either tortured to death by their captors, or chained for life and used as tools for sexual release, or sold off again!

And most disobedient Children don’t fare so well; they are either killed directly or sold to the slave market to become entertainment tools for twisted wealthy individuals.

This is why your Daddy and I don’t let you go out and play. We also know that you were born with your Daddy’s Supernatural Ability, but since the Apocalypse, Ability Users have emerged endlessly, and there are many powerful ones.

You are only eight years old. What if you go out and encounter an Ability User that even all seven of you combined can’t defeat, and your Daddy and I aren’t with you? Perhaps after being separated, it would be very difficult for us to find you again.

I’ve rambled on so much, do you understand now?

”Mommy, Daddy, we completely understand. We will be obedient from now on, we will be good, and we will never sneak out again. We will work hard to cultivate.”

The Septuplets hugged Si Nan and Luo Sen, deeply moved to tears.

Si Nan and Luo Sen exchanged glances, meaning: seriously deceiving the Children, it still has to be me.
