Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

211: I’ll use you to test my skills. After a loud bang, a human flower bloomed on the spot; half of the people were blown into the sky and fell back to the ground in pieces, with not a single corpse left intact.

”No, brother?”

”Ah, brother?”

The remaining half hid in the convenience store by the entrance, watching their brothers vanish just like that, the veins on their foreheads throbbing with rage.

”I’ll fight them to the death!”

”Come back! They have bombs. Is your flesh and blood capable of withstanding that kind of power? Go find the boss at the South Gate; the real gun is in his hands.”

”But my brother?”

”He’s already dead. Don’t worry, we’ll take this place today no matter what. You saw it just now; this Residential Area has been reinforced so securely that not even zombies, let alone powerful evolved Zombie Beasts, can get in.”

”Let’s go.”

The group had to give up on the North Gate and ran along the base of the wall toward the South Gate.

The situation was the same at the other three gates. Their boss, Yin Piao, was exceptionally furious to see that they couldn’t take the area after a long time and that all the homemade bombs they brought had been used up without a single gate being breached.

Gritting his teeth, he ordered his brothers, ”Set up the ladders and climb in.”

”Coming!” They had come prepared, lifting five extra-long aluminum ladders from the truck behind them and leaning them against the wall at intervals to climb.

”Boss, we’re here.” Just then, the people from the other three gates arrived, all gathering at the South Gate.

Yin Piao saw that of the hundred-plus brothers who had come, less than half remained. His eyes instantly glared at the guardhouse. ”If I don’t wipe you out today, I’m not human!”

The others’ blood also boiled. ”Wipe them out and occupy Seaside Luxury Villa!”

Gu Jie and the others reloaded their guns. ”Whether you can wipe us out depends on your skill, but I advise you—if you don’t know what’s good for you, you’re dead for sure.”

”Damn, so arrogant. Boss, I’ll lead the charge. Once I’m in, I’ll take down that guy named Gu first.” Yin Piao’s most capable subordinate, Cui Zhenxiang, volunteered; he wanted to enter the Residential Area and capture Gu Jie alive.

This guy was a trained martial artist and a slick veteran. Though only in his twenties, he had grown up in the underground black market and had been fighting black market boxing matches since he was ten; he was very strong.

However, in a one-on-one fight, he and Gu Jie were evenly matched.

Yin Piao didn’t agree immediately. Cui Zhenxiang was his right-hand man. Anyone else could die, but not him; they had been through life and death for over a decade, so nothing could happen to him.

Moreover, he only felt at ease leaving many tasks to Cui Zhenxiang. If something happened to him, he would have no reliable helpers.

So, he decisively refused. ”No, Ba Dan goes.”

”Yes, Boss.” Ba Dan was stunned for a second, glanced at Cui Zhenxiang with resentment in his eyes, but still agreed.

However, the scene Yin Piao hoped for—Ba Dan quickly climbing the wall to deal with Gu Jie—did not happen. Instead, he saw Ba Dan walk to the furthest aluminum ladder and bolt away.

This infuriated Yin Piao. ”Catch him and kill him on the spot! How dare he betray me? He’s tired of living. Everyone else, climb in! Kill all the men and leave the women.”

”Yes, Boss.”

While two people went to chase Ba Dan, the rest split up to climb the five aluminum ladders. Unfortunately, the ladders weren’t tall enough, still over a meter short of the top of the wall.

The person at the very top of one ladder lunged forward, grabbing the top of the wall with his hands. But because his lunge was too forceful, he kicked the ladder out from under him. A string of people fell to the ground; those holding the ladder couldn’t stabilize it and fell as well, getting pinned under the ladder.

”Argh—” A chorus of screams rang out.

”Useless, all of you! Get up and keep climbing!” Yin Piao kicked the butt of a man at his feet.

At that moment, three people successfully reached the top of the wall. Just as they stood on the wall, bending over to move the aluminum ladder to the other side to descend into the Residential Area, the wall beneath them suddenly moved.

A row of spikes suddenly emerged from the center of the wall, piercing through the soles of their feet. Their feet were nailed to the wall, and blood flowed down. The three screamed as they fell toward the outside of the wall.

”Aaaah, there are traps on top!” The people below finally realized. When the three crashed down, their brains splattered, and they died instantly.

”What? Traps on the wall? Impossible!” Yin Piao looked at the high wall with a face as pale as ash. He never dreamed that in modern society, someone would install traps on a wall.

Just as waves of shock surged in his heart, two rows of small holes suddenly appeared on the outer face of the wall. Yin Piao reacted quickly: ”Run! There are traps!”

He howled and took the lead in running. Behind him came the ”swoosh, swoosh, swoosh” of objects cutting through the air, something being fired at them, chasing them.

Yin Piao didn’t dare look back, running for his life without regard for anything else. Catching sight of his followers catching up to him, he immediately stopped and grabbed two of them to shield himself.

The two followers in his hands let out a scream of ”Ah!” as several spikes hit them in the back. Each spike was incredibly sharp, making his hair stand on end.

The two followers died with their eyes open. ”Bo—Boss, we risked our lives for you... how—how could you use us as shields? You’re—you’re a piece of work! Ah!”

Using the last of their strength, the two turned back and tightly grabbed Yin Piao’s arms, forcing their bodies to turn and pointing Yin Piao toward the spikes about to be fired from behind.

”Get lost!” At the critical moment, Cui Zhenxiang kicked the two away and rescued Yin Piao. There was no time to run, so Yin Piao and Cui Zhenxiang both bent over and grabbed two more people to continue using as meat shields.

The spikes stopped. The two looked at their brothers again; they were all dead, leaving only the two of them.

Yin Piao looked at the Residential Area with resentment. ”Damn it, that woman Si Nan is incredibly capable. For a woman to modify the Residential Area to be so indestructible... she’s simply not human.”

”Boss, are we still attacking?” Cui Zhenxiang had lost his confidence.

Yin Piao was unwilling to give up and gritted his teeth. ”Let’s go back first, but I’ll never give up. This Residential Area will be mine sooner or later.”

”Is that so? Coveting my territory comes with a price.” Si Nan appeared behind them at some unknown time, the ancient saber in her hand already flying toward Cui Zhenxiang. She had seen clearly just now that this man had remarkable skills.

As long as she dealt with him first, the remaining one wouldn’t be a problem.

”Ah, you? You must be Si Nan. Come on then, I’ve wanted to trade blows with you for a long time.” Cui Zhenxiang took a solid hit from the saber, which was now lodged in his back, right where he couldn’t reach.

Si Nan had already attacked, aiming her military shovel at Cui Zhenxiang’s raised arm. ”Very well. I haven’t had an opponent in a long time. It’s the perfect time to test my skills on you.”

”Hahaha, what arrogance! A mere woman dares to challenge me? Then I’ll take you for myself without ceremony.” Cui Zhenxiang was already entranced by Si Nan’s face, his heart fluttering with excitement.

Little did he know, this would be his last moment of lust in this world.
