Urban Martial Saint

Everyone immediately looked at Ye Qing. The question asked was indeed what everyone was concerned about. Their nightclub often encountered such issues.

Seeing the looks from the crowd, Ye Qing was about to speak when Li Lianshan quickly said, ”As long as we don’t provide it ourselves, that’s enough. As for what others want to do, that has nothing to do with us. They communicate on their own, it’s all consensual. We can’t control it anyway!”

Li Lianshan was worried that Ye Qing would also prohibit this, which would mean they could no longer make money from the club in the future.

Ye Qing looked at Li Lianshan and finally did not say anything. He had indeed wanted to forbid it, but on second thought, Li Lianshan was right. In such matters, when one is willing to fight and the other is willing to endure, who could manage it anyway?

Upon hearing this, everyone immediately became excited again. Actually, many nightclubs did not provide many hostesses themselves; they relied on attracting other girls to make money. Now with the full ban on drugs and obscenity, all nightclubs were on the same starting line, and they didn’t have to worry too much.

The crowd discussed it here for a while, and it was apparent that everyone was very satisfied with Ye Qing’s decision. Of course, this was under the premise that Ye Qing and Li Lianshan would give each of them a venue, and everyone was naturally overjoyed.

After lunch, everyone dispersed in high spirits. That’s when Ye Qing finally called Zhao Chengshuang to inform him everything had been handled.

Zhao Chengshuang had no idea how Ye Qing had managed it. Over the phone, he bombarded Ye Qing with questions. However, Ye Qing, slightly muddled from his drink at noon, did not elaborate and hung up after the call, directly catching a ride back with Li Lianshan.

At around two in the afternoon in the streets of Shenchuan city, there were still quite a few vehicles on the road. Ye Qing and Li Lianshan were sitting in the same car, discussing who to put in charge of managing the Qingfeng Club and Nine Heavens when their vehicle suddenly stopped abruptly. Due to inertia, both of them lurched forward, with Li Lianshan hitting the seatback in front of him and angrily said, ”Damn, what’s with the sudden stop? Give a heads-up next time!”

The driver from the front explained apologetically, ”Li, there was a big truck ahead that seemed to have lost control, I was startled, so I braked hard without a chance to alert you.”

”This is an urban area; what’s with the big truck?” Li Lianshan glared, then looked back and commented, ”Eh, what about the other cars? Why are they moving so slowly?”

Hearing this, Ye Qing suddenly widened his eyes and said gravely, ”Something’s not right!”

”What’s not right?” Li Lianshan was puzzled when the driver suddenly said, ”Li, that truck really is out of control!”

After saying that, the driver quickly shifted into reverse and started backing the vehicle away quickly.

Only then did Li Lianshan clearly see that a large truck up a hill was rolling down wildly towards them. It seemed that the truck’s brakes had failed, and being fully loaded, the momentum was terrifying. A few cars didn’t manage to dodge in time and were directly sent flying by the large truck, one even exploding upon impact.

Li Lianshan’s driver was rather skilled and managed to back the vehicle up swiftly. It appeared they would avoid the truck after all.

However, just as they were about to reach the intersection, another truck came rushing from behind and directly blocked the road, trapping their car there. At this time, the truck on the hill was speeding down directly towards them.

”Get out!” Ye Qing immediately opened the door and pulled Li Lianshan out with him.

The driver was even faster; he instantly ran down the other side and turned into a nearby alley. The speeding truck smashed into Li Lianshan’s car directly, compressing it into a metal pancake.

Seeing this, Li Lianshan, who was previously tipsy, suddenly had his eyes widen and his body shook, his alcohol turning to cold sweat. If Ye Qing hadn’t pulled him out, he might not have survived that crash!

”What are you waiting for? Run!” Ye Qing grabbed Li Lianshan and started running to the side. Just then, dozens of men armed with machetes poured out of both trucks and charged towards them.

Li Lianshan seemed still in shock, barely moving. Ye Qing, dragging him along, urged him frantically, ”Have you lost your mind? Run!”

Li Lianshan remained unmoved, instead pointing ahead at the large truck, ”Ye Zi, look, isn’t that Mao Mao?”

”What?” Ye Qing was stunned, turning to look. In the driver’s cabin of the truck behind, there sat a small child and an elderly woman.

The child was Li Lianshan’s adopted son, Mao Mao. The elderly woman was Mao Mao’s grandmother and was considered Li Lianshan’s adoptive mother!

Ye Qing’s expression changed immediately; he finally understood why Li Lianshan wasn’t running. It seemed he had already seen the two earlier.

Li Lianshan had been unattached before, but having an adopted son changed him a lot, making him much more responsible. Now that Mao Mao was captured, he disregarded his own life amidst the assault of so many, showing no intention to run.

Ye Qing clenched his teeth and said sternly, ”You run first, I’ll go save them!”

Li Lianshan didn’t run away but directly ran towards the cab, seemingly not hearing Ye Qing’s words.

”Are you crazy?” Ye Qing quickly chased after him. By then, people from both sides had also rushed up, carrying cleavers and slashing toward them.

Li Lianshan was in the lead, and several cleavers were hacked towards his back. Fortunately, Ye Qing ran up in time, yelled loudly, kicked one of them down, snatched the cleaver from his hand, and hacked back at them.

However, in just that brief moment, hundreds of people surrounded them, trapping the two in the middle and chopping down with their cleavers.

”Kill them, kill them!” the crowd shouted loudly. By then, the pedestrians on the roadside had already run away, not even daring to watch. Such large-scale fights had occurred in Shenchuan City before, but rarely in such public places. It seemed these people were truly desperate!

Ye Qing, holding a cleaver, fought desperately among the crowd, dodging and blocking the attackers’ cleavers like a trapped beast. But, facing so many people, it was inherently impossible to fight them all. Moreover, he had to protect Li Lianshan, and within less than a minute, he had been slashed twice. This situation was unsustainable.

But Li Lianshan still had no intention of escaping and focused solely on running towards the cab.

Mao Mao and the old lady’s mouths were taped shut. Seeing Li Lianshan, they shook their heads at him, signaling him not to come over. But Li Lianshan didn’t stop for a moment and shouted loudly, ”Mao Mao, Godmom, don’t be afraid, I’m coming to save you!”

While he was speaking, a cleaver hacked directly into his back. Li Lianshan stumbled and nearly fell to the ground. A foot-long gash appeared on his back, so deep that one could almost see the bone inside.

Ye Qing hurried over, knocked down several men behind Li Lianshan, and then supported Li Lianshan as they ran forward. However, their speed was too slow, and soon a group of people had caught up again, surrounding the two of them.

In such a short time, Ye Qing and Li Lianshan were covered in blood. Ye Qing clenched his teeth, wielding a cleaver in each hand, and roared, ”Clear a path, whoever blocks me dies!”

No one paid attention to Ye Qing. Dozens of cleavers fell like raindrops. Ye Qing furrowed his brow, desperately blocking most of the cleaves, but still took a slash. However, he didn’t let them off lightly, returning a blow that cleaved the face of the man in front in two, blood gushing profusely.

At that moment, Ye Qing fought without holding back. Any attacker he struck was lucky to just be critically injured; the unlucky ones could have their heads cleaved off.

Yet, the others were not scared, as they had the advantage in numbers. Moreover, they were all seeing red, roaring and rushing up.

Ye Qing, guarding Li Lianshan, took step by step towards the cab. Blood dripped from his clothes; he had been slashed seven or eight times, but he had no intention of fleeing. Even if Mao Mao wasn’t Li Lianshan’s godson, he wouldn’t leave!

Finally, the two reached the cab’s door. Ye Qing stood guard below, allowing Li Lianshan to climb up to save Mao Mao and the old woman. His cleaver was nicked and notched, but he continued desperately fighting the crowd, just to buy time for Li Lianshan.

Li Lianshan clumsily climbed up. The two were tied up inside the cab, and he hurriedly began untying them. Just then, two people suddenly sat up from the back seats; one grabbed Li Lianshan’s arm, while the other hacked down, severing Li Lianshan’s left arm.

”Ah!” Li Lianshan couldn’t hold back a scream, but still shielded Mao Mao and the old lady with his remaining right arm.

”Li!” Ye Qing was shocked, not expecting people to be hiding in the car. As he saw the two still preparing to hack at Li Lianshan, he threw his cleaver at them, stabbing the blade directly into the neck of the knife-wielder, pinning him to the chair.

The other man, terrified, immediately pushed open the car door and ran.

However, saving Li Lianshan left Ye Qing unable to dodge subsequent attacks. Several cleavers simultaneously hacked into his back, causing so much pain that he saw darkness before his eyes.

Just then, Black Bear’s voice came from outside the crowd, ”Captain! Captain! Where are you?”

Ye Qing felt a bit more relieved and shouted loudly, ”I’m here!”

”Quick, quick, the captain is over there, hurry up and rush over!”

”Damn, who dares to hack my big brother!”

”Kill them, kill them!”

”Don’t let a single one escape!”

The shouting crowd behind them were Ye Qing and Li Lianshan’s subordinates, who had finally arrived. Meanwhile, those attacking Ye Qing and Li Lianshan were thrown into chaos. The pressure on Ye Qing’s side suddenly lessened considerably as those who had been attacking them started desperately fleeing, since Li Lianshan and Ye Qing’s subordinates outnumbered them.
