Urban Martial Saint

Ding Chang’an was shouting like this, yet no one stepped forward to take action. After all, Ding Shaoyan was a member of the Ding Family. Even though he had committed heinous crimes, there were few who were willing to lay a hand on him.

Ye Qing was sitting there, and seeing that nobody from the Ding Family intended to make a move, he angrily stood up and said, ”I’ll do it!”

”What are you doing!” Ding Changyuan immediately stood up, rushed to stand beside Ding Shaoyan, and angrily looked at Ye Qing, ”You try touching my son and see what happens!”

”Ye, this is our family’s affair, it’s not your place to interfere!” Ding Changsheng shouted angrily, ”You’d better just sit down and behave, or I swear I won’t let you off easily!”

”Humph, won’t let me off, then come find me!” Ye Qing strode over to Ding Shaoyan, his voice cold as he said, ”If you can’t avenge Old Master Tie, then I’ll do it personally!”

”You stop right there!” Ding Changyuan lifted his foot to kick Ye Qing, but was punched in the chest by Ye Qing and fell to the ground, unable to get up again.

Ding Shaoyan was so scared that he was trembling all over, without the strength to run away, and was grabbed by the hair by Ye Qing and lifted up. The Ding Family people shouted continuously but dared not stop him. As for the people from the Xingyi School, many of them wished to kill Ding Shaoyan themselves, so who would stop Ye Qing?

”Dad, save me, save me...” Ding Shaoyan pleaded tremulously, but by then, the Ding Family members could no longer protect him!

Ye Qing, holding onto Ding Shaoyan, dragged him out of the Xingyi Martial Arts School. The Ding Family chased after him, and Ding Chang’an anxiously said, ”Mr. Ye, where are you taking him?”

”To pay homage to Uncle Tie!” Ye Qing dragged Ding Shaoyan out of the courtyard, got into a car with Du Tianyi, and drove straight to the graveyard of Tie Yongwen.

The Ding Family rushed out in a hurry, wanting to get in their cars and chase after them. However, people from the Xingyi School also came rushing out, stopping them and not allowing them to follow.

Of course, the people from the Xingyi School all wanted to kill Ding Shaoyan to avenge Tie Yongwen and Gao Shusen. But they also knew that it was virtually impossible to expect the Ding Family members to kill Ding Shaoyan. Therefore, they were more inclined to let Ye Qing kill Ding Shaoyan, deliberately blocking the Ding Family to buy Ye Qing some time.

”I... I know I was wrong, please spare me, spare me please...” Ding Shaoyan begged non-stop in the back, but Ye Qing paid him no heed.

”Shut up!” Du Tianyi slapped him a few times, causing Ding Shaoyan to spit out blood, indeed full of pent-up anger.

Ding Shaoyan truly shut his mouth, but his eyes were full of panic and terror; he was truly frightened. Now, he really regretted it, regretting why he had conspired with Xu Dingjiang to kill Tie Yongwen, which ended up angering his own grandfather to death, leaving himself in this dire situation. But it was too late for regrets now!

Ye Qing arrived at the graveside of Tie Yongwen. Gao Shusen was also buried beside him, and opposite them lay the grave of Elder Master Ding, the three graves standing close together.

Du Tianyi brought Ding Shaoyan to the front of Tie Yongwen’s grave, kicked him behind the knees, and shouted, ”Kneel down!”

In his panic, Ding Shaoyan knelt in front of the grave, looking at the name Tie Yongwen on the gravestone, his face filled with despair.

”Uncle Du, I know I was wrong, please... please spare me, just this once...” Ding Shaoyan beseeched in a trembling voice.

”Spare you?” Du Tianyi said grimly, ”Why don’t you ask my Master if he’d spare you? Ask my elder disciple brother if he’d spare you! Ask those people you’ve killed if they’d spare you!”

Ding Shaoyan’s face turned ashen, looking at the three graves in front of him, shivering uncontrollably. From Du Tianyi’s tone, he knew that Du Tianyi was definitely not going to let him off.

Du Tianyi looked at Ding Shaoyan, his anger growing the more he looked at him, and was about to kick him, but Ye Qing stopped him.

Ye Qing said gravely, ”Ding Shaoyan, I have a few questions for you. Answer truthfully, and you can die a quick death. Otherwise, I will cut off the flesh from your body piece by piece, so that you will beg for life in vain and for death in despair!”

Ding Shaoyan immediately collapsed on the ground; he was truly a person who feared pain.

”Who approached you to conspire against me?” Ye Qing asked sternly.

”It... It was Lin Yaqing, she brought someone... a man named Xu Dingjiang over...” Ding Shaoyan said, trembling.

Ye Qing frowned slightly; the matter once again implicated Xu Dingjiang. It meant that all clues pointed towards Xu Dingjiang. However, since Xu Dingjiang was dead, the trail was now completely cold.

”Who exactly is Xu Dingjiang?” Ye Qing asked.

”I don’t know...” Ding Shaoyan said, ”He... He seemed to be someone Yang Shitao paid to deal with you all, his... his exact identity, I don’t know...”

”You don’t know, yet you cooperated with him!” Du Tianyi kicked Ding Shaoyan in the chest, yelling, ”You cooperate with a stranger and kill the old bodyguard who had protected your family for so many years, is this how the Ding Family operates?”

”I... I know I was wrong, please have mercy on me...” Ding Shaoyan wept bitterly and said, ”I beg you, spare me, consider me a fart and let me go, please?”

”You’re less than nothing!” Du Tianyi gritted his teeth and said, ”I’m not letting you go, impossible!”

As he spoke, Du Tianyi casually pulled a dagger from his waistband, which he had specifically brought with him when he left his house today.

”I’m going to rip out your heart and lungs to see what color your heart really is!” Du Tianyi said as he ripped open Ding Shaoyan’s shirt.

”No, save me, save me...” Ding Shaoyan turned his head in panic, trying to flee, but how could he be a match for Du Tianyi? He was grabbed by the neck and pinned to the ground by Du Tianyi, who then pressed the tip of the knife against Ding Shaoyan’s belly.

Ding Shaoyan shivered in terror, knowing that just a little more pressure from the dagger would leave his intestines spilling out and he would die a gruesome death.

However, at that moment, Ye Qing’s phone suddenly rang. Du Tianyi turned to look at Ye Qing, who was also startled, took out his phone, and said, ”It’s Zhao Chengshuang!”

Ye Qing walked to the side to answer the phone, and Zhao Chengshuang’s panicked voice came through immediately, ”Ye Zi, where are you? Is Ding Shaoyan dead or not?”

Ye Qing glanced at Du Tianyi and said, ”Not yet!”

”Good, good!” Zhao Chengshuang let out a sigh of relief and said, ”Damn it, listen carefully, you must not kill Ding Shaoyan!”

”Why?” Ye Qing frowned. This wasn’t something Zhao Chengshuang should be dealing with.

”Right after you took Ding Shaoyan, the Ding family has already contacted the provincial government, and the secretary of the political and legal committee personally asked about this matter. They just made a call to Shenchuan City,” Zhao Chengshuang said gravely. ”The Ding family still has some influence in the province. You beating Ding Shaoyan until he’s disabled is one thing, but if you kill him, that’s homicide. With the province’s attention now, it would be a big problem for you guys!”

”How big of a problem?” Ye Qing asked in a deep voice.

”With a homicide case, not even Director Liu or Commander Zhou could save you!” Zhao Chengshuang said in a deep voice.

”I already have plenty of blood on my hands!” Ye Qing said coldly.

Zhao Chengshuang said, ”I know, many people in Shenchuan City have blood on their hands. But it’s different when different people die. And there’s the matter of evidence. Now you’ve caught someone from the Ding family, and both the Ding family and people from the Xingyi School can testify. With the province still inquiring about the situation, if Ding Shaoyan dies at your hands, what do you think will happen? The provincial authority will definitely investigate thoroughly. Ye Zi, you can’t go to prison, what will happen to the orphanage if you do? What about your brothers? What about your family? You need to think this through!”

Ye Qing’s brow furrowed tighter. He hadn’t expected that just as he was about to avenge Tie Yongwen, such an event would occur. The Ding family was indeed crazy; to save Ding Shaoyan, they even reached out to important officials in the province.

Staring at Ding Shaoyan for a while, Ye Qing gritted his teeth, hung up the phone, and said to Du Tianyi in a heavy voice, ”Don’t kill him!”

Ding Shaoyan couldn’t help but feel overjoyed, while Du Tianyi was startled and asked, ”Why?”

Ye Qing repeated what Zhao Chengshuang had said, and Du Tianyi furrowed his brows, falling silent for a while before gritting his teeth and saying, ”I’ll kill him. If anything happens, I’ll bear the consequences alone. Even if I’m shot by a firing squad, I can accept it. I have nothing to worry about!”

As he spoke, Du Tianyi raised the dagger ready to plunge it into Ding Shaoyan’s belly. Ding Shaoyan’s eyes bulged in terror, but thankfully, Ye Qing quickly stepped forward and grabbed Du Tianyi’s hand.

”We can’t kill him!” Ye Qing shook his head at Du Tianyi and said, ”It’s not worth going to jail over someone like him!”

”No matter what, I must avenge Master!” Du Tianyi nearly went mad trying to break free from Ye Qing’s grip.

”I also want to avenge Old Master Tie, but the real culprit isn’t him!” Ye Qing snatched away the dagger from Du Tianyi’s hand, grabbed his collar, and shouted, ”He’s just an accomplice, the real culprit is still at large. If you go to prison, who will avenge Uncle Tie!?”

Du Tianyi paused, silent for a long time, then suddenly clenched his teeth and said, ”That’s right, the real murderer is Yang Shitao, it’s Yang Shitao! I have to go to Western Province and kill him!”

”So, you need to stay alive!” Ye Qing held the dagger, looked coldly at Ding Shaoyan, and said sternly, ”Even if we can’t kill him, we can cripple him. Humph, becoming a cripple, he’s going to suffer more in this life than if he were dead!”

Ye Qing walked straight to Ding Shaoyan, ignoring his pleas, and used the dagger to sever all the tendons in his hands and feet.

Watching Ding Shaoyan scream and roll in a pool of blood, Du Tianyi’s face showed a mixture of sorrow and joy as he knelt in front of Tie Yongwen’s grave and finally burst into tears after a long while.

After more than half an hour, the Ding family people finally caught up. Seeing Ding Shaoyan in such a state, they were all furious. Yet, facing the ashen-faced Ye Qing and the nearly crazed Du Tianyi, no one dared to say anything. They could only silently lift Ding Shaoyan into the car.

Ye Qing paid no attention to the Ding family members. Ding Shaoyan had become completely crippled and would have to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair; Ye Qing considered this revenge as well.

He kowtowed several times in front of the three graves before leaving with Du Tianyi. Next, he was going to start looking for the real murderer—he was determined to avenge Old Master Tie!
