Urban Martial Saint

When Ye Qing arrived in Tianhui City, the subordinates of Huangfu Ziyu had already been waiting for him. The person leading them was the girl who had rescued Black Bear and his companions last time, named Xiao Qing. Like Xiao Hong and Xiao Lu, who were by Huangfu Ziyu’s side, they were orphans adopted by Huangfu Ziyu from a young age and were extremely loyal to her.

”Ye, all the things you requested are here!” Xiao Qing handed a file folder to Ye Qing.

Ye Qing took the file folder, looked at its contents, and found it to be very accurately marked. Especially the hideouts of Beggar King, which were mostly accompanied by photos, were clearly visible. Most crucially, it also noted how many people were usually present at each location and what their roles were, It seemed that Huangfu Ziyu had been keeping an eye on Beggar King for a long time.

Ye Qing packed up the file folder and said to Xiao Qing, ”Thank Miss Huangfu for me!”

Xiao Qing smiled and said, ”My mistress told me that if there’s anything you need help with, Ye, you can directly order me. As long as it’s within our capabilities, we will definitely try our best to help!”

Ye Qing was silent for a moment and then said, ”There isn’t really anything else that needs help at the moment, but I came here this time looking for Old Bai. Do you know where he is hiding now?”

”Coincidentally, I do know where he is!” Xiao Qing laughed, ”Actually, after Ye’s friend came looking for him last time, the mistress specifically instructed me to keep an eye on him. He should be at Dongyue Building in the city now, eating late-night snacks with Young Master Zhou from last time. If you need, Ye, I can investigate specifically and see which private room he’s in!”

Ye Qing hadn’t expected that Huangfu Ziyu would take his affairs so seriously, and he felt somewhat grateful.

”Thank you for the trouble!” Ye Qing said.

Xiao Qing smiled and said, ”Ye, you don’t need to be polite. My mistress instructed that whatever matter you have here, we will help you with all our might!”

It didn’t take long for Xiao Qing’s subordinates to send back news, accurately locating Old Bai. Moreover, they even knew exactly how many people were with him and what the situation nearby was like. It appeared that Huangfu Ziyu truly had many informants in Tianhui City.

With this information received from Xiao Qing, Ye Qing was very pleased. His main purpose tonight here was to capture Old Bai. He had thought he would have to search for Old Bai himself, but Xiao Qing had managed to find all the information needed, saving him the trouble.

After Xiao Qing relayed all the information to Ye Qing, she left with her people, reminding Ye Qing before she left, ”Ye, if you are short of people, you can call me anytime!”

After thanking Xiao Qing again, Ye Qing immediately gathered Black Bear and his companions and started arranging the plan.

Based on the information provided by Xiao Qing, Ye Qing sent Black Bear and his crew to Dongyue Building. Their mission was to capture Old Bai. As for Ye Qing, he was going to photograph some evidence at the hideouts of Beggar King and hand it over to Liu Changping. This way, Liu Changping would be justified in arresting the subordinates of Beggar King!

After clarifying the tasks, Ye Qing and Black Bear split up and entered Tianhui City. Following the information provided by Xiao Qing, Ye Qing headed straight to the largest hideout of Beggar King, also a storage point for contraband’

This hideout was located at a ranch in the northern suburbs of Tianhui City, which mainly raised cattle, pigs, and sheep. The place naturally had a foul smell. Frequent slaughter of livestock meant this area could really be described as stinking to high heaven. This stench also helped mask the smell of the drugs, making the ranch an ideal hiding spot for contraband.

Ye Qing arrived at the ranch and quietly sneaked in under the cover of night. Although there were quite a few people inside the ranch, no one was able to detect him thanks to Ye Qing’s skills.

Following the information provided by Xiao Qing, Ye Qing headed straight to one of the houses, which had a basement underneath it, where the contraband was hidden.

However, the house was always guarded, so sneaking in was definitely not going to be easy.

Fortunately, it was already late at night, and most people were in a drowsy slump. Ye Qing was crouched on the courtyard wall, completely unnoticed. Inside the house, four people were engrossed in playing cards and gambling, paying no attention to the situation outside.

Ye Qing tiptoed to the side of the house and casually picked up a solid steel rod as a weapon. He looked up and saw that the group had just finished a round of gambling and were dealing cards, with everyone’s attention focused solely on the cards, completely oblivious to the outside world.

Ye Qing, holding the steel rod, quietly entered the room, walking up behind the four individuals who hadn’t yet noticed him. Suddenly, he charged forward and slammed the rod down on one man’s head. The man didn’t even have time to groan before collapsing to the ground.

This sudden noise made the other three turn their heads in shock, but Ye Qing immediately pounced on them, his right hand swinging the steel rod at the head of the man on the right, and his left fist striking the temple of the man on the left while his foot kicked straight at the chest of the man directly opposite him.

As the men on both sides fell to the ground, they instantly fainted, while the man who had been kicked by Ye Qing originally tried to shriek. But after Ye Qing’s kick to his chest, the shout turned into a muffled grunt. He fell to the ground, struggling even to breathe, let alone scream out loud.

Yet Ye Qing didn’t pause at all, and struck the man’s temple in one swift movement, causing him to faint as well. The four who had been on guard in the room were knocked out cleanly by Ye Qing in less than a minute.

However, Ye Qing didn’t immediately head to the basement but instead propped up the four men on chairs, arranging them in a manner that still appeared as if they were playing cards. There were patrols passing outside the yard every few minutes, and Ye Qing did not want to draw the attention of most people.

Everything set, Ye Qing immediately proceeded to the basement. As soon as he descended, Ye Qing smelled a pungent drug odor indicating that quite a few drugs were indeed hidden here.

The lighting in the basement was dim, and it was divided into several rooms. In each room, there were several adolescents packaging white powder, exactly like Lin Tianhao’s previous hideout in Shenchuan City. These children, mostly between the ages of eight and fifteen, appeared dazed, with sunken eyes and darkened complexions, a result of constant contact with narcotics. Daily exposure to these drugs meant most children didn’t survive past half a year. The Beggar King’s earnings were literally made from the lives of these children!

Although Ye Qing had seen similar situations at Lin Tianhao’s, seeing these pitiable children again made his heart bleed. With such cases in Shenchuan City and Tianhui City, could other places be any different? Across the country, how many children were suffering the same fate? Under their parents’ care, they were the most cherished treasures. Here, however, they were treated worse than the animals outside. At least those animals lived longer!

After taking a deep breath, Ye Qing wiped the moisture from the corners of his eyes and took out a camera to capture images of the scene. The sound of the camera indeed caught the children’s attention. However, they didn’t scream or react; instead, they hurriedly increased their pace of work. It seemed they mistook Ye Qing for one of the Beggar King’s overseers coming to check on their work.

After capturing the evidence, Ye Qing looked reluctantly at the children again, gritted his teeth, and left the basement. Tonight, he was determined to rescue these children at all costs!

The four men outside were still unconscious, and nobody else knew someone had sneaked in. Thus, Ye Qing easily left the hideout and drove straight for the city center.

On the way, Ye Qing called Liu Changping to inform him that he had secured the evidence. Liu’s biggest concern was the lack of evidence; now reassured, he immediately instructed the deputy director in charge to apprehend the Beggar King and all his associates in Tianhui City as soon as they arrived—no one was to be spared!

According to Liu Changping, state police would reach Tianhui City in about half an hour. Ye Qing felt relieved. In half an hour, even with immense power, the Beggar King wouldn’t manage to transport everything from his hideout. It seemed that the Beggar King was indeed about to be completely uprooted this time!

Just as he entered the city, Ye Qing received a call from Black Bear. They had captured Old Bai and escaped from the Beggar King’s men. However, they were stopped by the police of Tianhui City and were now trapped inside a building. If they hadn’t taken Young Master Zhou hostage, they might have been killed by the police by now. Nevertheless, they were in a precarious situation, surrounded by most of the city’s police, with no chance of escape.

Ye Qing hadn’t expected this turn of events, yet he wasn’t overly concerned. As long as Liu’s reinforcements entered Tianhui City, everything would be resolved. For now, as long as Black Bear and his group held Young Master Zhou, the wary police wouldn’t dare act hastily.

However, to reduce some pressure on Black Bear and to test the connection between the police and the Beggar King, Ye Qing still made a call to report drug manufacturing and trafficking at the Beggar King’s property, urging the police to take action.

But, after talking for a full ten minutes, no police moved to address the matter. However, Ye Qing noticed that several thugs appeared in the city streets, likely mobilized by the Beggar King who had heard about the intrusion into his property.

Watching those thugs seemingly searching for someone, Ye Qing couldn’t help but smirk. It appeared that Tianhui City’s police were indeed colluding with the Beggar King. This time, not only was the Beggar King going to be uprooted, but it seemed that many in Tianhui City’s police department would also face downfall!
