Urban Martial Saint

Huangfu Ziyu’s herbal medicine was very effective. After drinking one bowl, Ye Qing’s injuries began to slowly heal. In the middle of the night, Ye Qing finally woke up, and as he opened his eyes, he saw a breathtakingly beautiful face not far in front of him.

Ye Qing instinctively wanted to move back a bit, but his injuries were quite severe, and after being unconscious for a whole day and night, he simply didn’t have the strength. As such, he couldn’t move back much, but as his groggy head gradually cleared, he finally recognized the person in front of him.

Lying beside him was the East State Poisonous Praying Mantis, Huangfu Ziyu. She seemed very tired, and Ye Qing’s movements as he awoke did not disturb her sleep. Her jade arms were still embracing Ye Qing, her tempting red lips murmuring softly, seemingly in the middle of a dream, and her stunning cheeks even bore a smile, the kind that came from deep within, completely different from her usual smile.

Huangfu Ziyu was a woman even more beautiful than a Heavenly Immortal. Among all the girls Ye Qing had seen, only Shen Qingyi’s beauty could surpass hers by a slight margin. However, when it came to allure, Shen Qingyi was far from Huangfu Ziyu’s match. Shen Qingyi had the saintly purity of a goddess, while Huangfu Ziyu’s beauty was utterly soul-stirring and tempting. For men, the former was like a lotus flower, so noble that one feels unworthy even from afar, while the latter was like a red rose, capturing everyone’s attention!

With such a stunning woman lying beside him, even Ye Qing couldn’t help being somewhat excited. He recalled the sudden kiss from Huangfu Ziyu as they fell off the cliff, and his heart raced uncontrollably.

That kiss was so sudden that Ye Qing hadn’t expected it and had no time to savor the sensation. But now, thinking back, that kiss was indelibly etched in his mind, an unforgettable feeling.

Looking at the exquisite woman beside him, Ye Qing couldn’t resist the urge to reach out and embrace her. But just as his hand was halfway there, the image of another equally stunning woman flashed through his mind. The sight of Shen Qingyi squatting on the ground, carefully releasing the crab back into the sea, seemed to be permanently carved into his memory.

Thinking of Shen Qingyi, Ye Qing’s raised arm stopped in its tracks. After a prolonged silence, he slowly put his arm back in place. Because he couldn’t clearly distinguish which of the two women meant more to him. Before he figured that out, he couldn’t do anything to wrong either of them!

Ye Qing put his arm back and slowly moved to the side, creating some distance from Huangfu Ziyu. After all, she was a girl, and he felt uncomfortable being too close to her.

After moving a bit apart, Ye Qing turned to look at Huangfu Ziyu who was still deep in sleep, seemingly unaware of his awakening. Ye Qing did not disturb her, and feeling extremely tired as his body had not yet fully recovered, he closed his eyes and soon fell back into a deep sleep.

Meanwhile, after Ye Qing had been asleep for quite a while, Huangfu Ziyu suddenly opened her eyes. In fact, from the moment Ye Qing opened his eyes, she had been awake. Yet, she pretended to be asleep, wanting to see what Ye would do to her.

Feeling Ye Qing lift his arm, wanting to embrace her, caused Huangfu Ziyu’s heart to flutter in panic, but more than that, she was excited and thrilled. However, when Ye Qing’s arm inexplicably returned to its original position and even moved away from her, Huangfu Ziyu felt a mixture of disappointment and relief.

In her heart, she had deeply fallen in love with the man before her. Yet between love and family duty, she still did not know which to choose. Before meeting Ye Qing, her sole ambition in life was to revive the Huangfu Household. But after meeting Ye Qing, she seemed shaken, as if she could leap off that cliff with Ye Qing. At that moment, she hadn’t thought about her family’s revival at all; her heart was filled only with Ye Qing!

Gazing at Ye Qing’s sharply defined face for a long time, Huangfu Ziyu sighed softly. The greatest sorrow for a woman is to fall in love with a man. Would Ye Qing become the biggest tribulation of her life?

After a long silence, Huangfu Ziyu suddenly gritted her teeth, got out of bed, and walked straight out of the room. Throughout the process, she never once looked back at Ye Qing, fearing she might stay behind.

Ye Qing slept for a long time, and when he woke up, it was almost noon. Opening his eyes, he immediately turned to look beside him. But the exquisite face that was once there was gone now, leaving him feeling a sense of loss, yet also letting out a long breath of relief. To tell the truth, after that kiss, he really didn’t know how to face Huangfu Ziyu!

”Ye, you’re awake!” Just then, a woman’s voice suddenly came from beside him. Ye Qing looked up to see several girls standing by the bed. The one who spoke was Xiao Qing from Tianhui City. Beside her stood two other pretty girls who seemed to be Huangfu Ziyu’s subordinates.

Seeing these girls, Ye Qing couldn’t help feeling surprised, his expression slightly awkward. He didn’t know when these girls had come, nor did he know if they had seen anything between him and Huangfu Ziyu. He wasn’t concerned for himself, but he feared harming Huangfu Ziyu’s reputation.

”You... why are you here?” Ye Qing looked around, not seeing a trace of Huangfu Ziyu.

”Miss ordered us to come and take care of you, Brother Ye...” Xiao Qing said with a smile, ”Brother Ye, you don’t need to look anymore, our Miss has already gone back.”

Ye Qing’s face turned red involuntarily, Xiao Qing’s eyes were quite sharp, having seen that he was looking for Huangfu Ziyu. However, hearing that Huangfu Ziyu had already left, Ye Qing felt even more lost, and the beautiful face of the woman flashed involuntarily before his eyes.

”Thank you.” Ye Qing sat up, just about to speak, when he was shocked to discover that his right arm had returned to normal, without the slightest feeling of pain.

Ye Qing was stunned for a moment. He remembered that when he and Huangfu Ziyu had fallen off the cliff, Huangfu Ziyu had used her soft whip to wrap around a large tree at the edge of the cliff. At that time, Ye Qing had grabbed the end of the whip, and his entire right arm had been dislocated. Such an injury should take one hundred days to heal. A dislocation, although not very serious, also shouldn’t have healed so quickly. Yet, not only was there no pain in his right arm now, but what surprised Ye Qing even more was that his right arm was filled with strength. True Qi was circulating endlessly in his right arm, a completely different situation from before.

Ye Qing was even more astonished. His arm had clearly been dislocated, so how could it be fine, and why was the circulation of True Qi even smoother than before? And this feeling, why was it so similar to what Du Tianyi had described as Internal Energy Release?

After a moment of hesitation, Ye Qing turned his head towards the table next to him, trying to stimulate his inner strength, and threw a punch towards it.

With a puff, the table was half a meter away from Ye Qing, yet it was also shaken. A vase on the table fell directly onto the floor, but luckily, the carpeted floor didn’t break it. However, this act had Ye Qing completely stunned!

Ye Qing’s fist was half a meter away from the table and had not touched it at all. Yet, Ye Qing clearly felt a burst of inner strength surge from his right arm at the moment he threw the punch, and it was this burst of inner strength that had caused the table to wobble.

Could this be Internal Energy Release?

Ye Qing looked at his fist and then back at the table, still somewhat in disbelief. He threw another punch, this time with more force, and the table was knocked over without any physical contact.

Not only Ye Qing, but Xiao Qing and the other girls were also dumbstruck. They had seen Huangfu Ziyu’s skills, but Internal Energy Release like this was something Huangfu Ziyu typically used only when sparring with masters, never having shown the ability to strike objects through the air. And now, Ye Qing had done it right before their eyes, how could they not be shocked?

This was nothing short of miraculous!

”Brother Ye, how... how did you do that?” Xiao Qing asked in surprise.

”I don’t know myself!” Ye Qing said with a blank face. He was very puzzled; wasn’t he already past the age for learning martial arts, with no chance of opening his meridians, let alone achieving Internal Energy Release? How had he managed this? And previously, his arm was slowly dislocated, why was there no pain? Could it be that after his arm was dislocated, he had acquired such an ability, a blessing in disguise? Or possibly, did Huangfu Ziyu do something to him?

Of course, Ye Qing couldn’t figure it out; his ability to do this was entirely the result of Ou Keren and the combined efforts of the monk and the elder. The last time Ou Keren had helped him penetrate a major acupoint, a minor mistake had nearly resulted in his right arm’s meridians being pierced. The monk and the elder had worked together, using powerful inner strength to open up all the meridians in his right arm, allowing for Internal Energy Release. Not only this, but the inner strength of the two masters rushed into his body, healing the injuries in his right arm, so he felt no pain from the dislocation at all.

Even Huangfu Ziyu didn’t know this. After all, the monk and the elder had done it behind her back. Moreover, she couldn’t imagine that there were people in the world with such heaven-defying methods!

Although Ye Qing couldn’t understand what was going on, he was incredibly exhilarated. Previously, because he couldn’t perform Internal Energy Release, there was a serious gap between him and some masters. Just like with Xu Cunzhi, he was no match for Xu Cunzhi, due to the difference in internal and external skills. But now that he could perform Internal Energy Release, he could finally narrow the gap with those people.

Ye Qing immediately flipped the covers, ready to jump out of the bed. But when he lifted the covers, he was surprised to find that he was wearing just shorts, his legs completely bare. As he lifted the covers, his body was almost entirely exposed in front of several girls.
