Urban Martial Saint

Hearing this, Ye Qing was thrilled. Previously, he didn’t believe in Old Wang Ba’s so-called divination, but after the incident in Xishan City, Ye Qing had come to completely trust Old Wang Ba. His Divination Technique was truly miraculous.

This time, Old Wang Ba even told him that his brother Ye Jun was still alive and that there would be a day when they would meet again, instantly filling Ye Qing with boundless hope.

However, the others sneered at Old Wang Ba’s fortune-telling.

”Eighth Master, stop messing around!” Yue Peng shrugged his shoulders and said, ”The night before last, you told me I had some romance luck. As a result, after prowling through the nightlife for two evenings, I didn’t so much as brush against a single feather, and instead, I ran into a gay guy. Damn it, I was almost disgusted to death. Eighth Master, I don’t believe a word you say anymore!”

Mad Dog nodded and said, ”Eighth Master, you told me yesterday I had good luck. Yet, when I played cards with someone, I lost all night long. It seems to me, Eighth Master, that your words are not to be trusted!”

”Shit, you two don’t understand anything!” Old Wang Ba retorted irritably. ”Little Yue, what I said was that you’ve got ’chrysanthemum luck’, but you misheard it as romance luck? Running into a gay guy, doesn’t that make sense? Chrysanthemum luck, right. And you, Little Puppy, whether luck is good or not, that’s relative. When you were playing cards, wasn’t there someone who lost more than you did?”

Mad Dog paused for a second and said, ”There was, but that doesn’t prove I’m lucky, does it?”

Old Wang Ba said, ”If it wasn’t for that person being there, you would’ve undoubtedly lost more. Hey, that person took the loss for you, so you lost less, doesn’t that count as good luck?”

Mad Dog scratched his head, stared at Old Wang Ba for a while, shook his head and said, ”I think, not losing money is what really counts as good luck!”

Old Wang Ba pursed his lips and said, ”If you don’t want to lose, then don’t gamble!”

”Shit!” Mad Dog and Yue Peng both flipped off Old Wang Ba simultaneously, expressing their dissatisfaction with gestures.

”Insensitive brats, how could you appreciate your Eighth Master’s deep concern!” Old Wang Ba turned away, not even deigning to look at the two. He grabbed the cigarette box Mad Dog had left on the table, lit one for himself, and casually pocketed the whole box as if no one else was there.

”Eighth Master, that’s my cigarette!” Mad Dog exclaimed with wide eyes.

”Oh, almost forgot!” Old Wang Ba said with a sheepish smile, taking out the cigarette box. He was about to hand it to Mad Dog when he suddenly sneezed a big one into the box and chuckled, ”Sorry, seems I might have a bit of a cold!”

Mad Dog had been reaching for the cigarette box but seeing how Old Wang Ba’s sneeze had left nothing to waste on that box, he immediately withdrew his hand.

”Forget it, forget it, I’ll give it to you!” Mad Dog said.

”Really?” Old Wang Ba was ecstatic, stuffing the cigarette box into his pocket and saying, ”You sure know what you’re doing, kiddo. Come on, someday I’ll read your fortune again, see about your romance luck!”

Mad Dog was too lazy to listen to Old Wang Ba’s words anymore and simply turned his head away.

Seeing Old Wang Ba behaving like this, Ye Qing couldn’t help but feel surprised. He knew that Old Wang Ba was truly talented. Even the people in the teahouse were very respectful towards him. But why did he act so lowly outside? It was a mystery to Ye Qing.

After explaining things to Black Bear Mad Dog and Yue Peng, asking them to select the manpower for the trip to Tianhui City, Ye Qing contacted Zhao Chengshuang to talk about meeting Lin Tianhao.

Zhao Chengshuang was quite surprised, wondering why Ye Qing suddenly wanted to see Lin Tianhao again. Nevertheless, he quickly arranged it, telling Ye Qing to visit Lin Tianhao in prison.

This was Ye Qing’s second visit to the prison. Seeing Lin Tianhao again, he found him even more emaciated than before. Life in prison seemed tough; he was being tormented terribly every day!

Upon seeing Ye Qing, Lin Tianhao’s face showed evident astonishment, which made Ye Qing’s heart skip a beat. Such an expression indicated that Lin Tianhao definitely had problems!

Barely sitting down, Lin Tianhao rushed to ask, ”Have you... have you found Old Bai?”

”I did search,” Ye Qing said solemnly, looking at Lin Tianhao. ”But that Old Bai, he’s in Tianhui City, colluding with the son of an official. The brothers I sent to Tianhui City just got arrested by the police, and now they’re all facing sentences!”

At these words, a glint of joy flickered in Lin Tianhao’s eyes, further confirming Ye Qing’s suspicions: Lin Tianhao was definitely up to something!

”How could this happen?” Lin Tianhao feigned astonishment, his heart blooming with joy.

”Old Bai is your man; you should know his situation, right?” Ye Qing frowned slightly and asked seriously, ”He seems to be doing quite well in Tianhui City; he must not have just arrived there. You’re his big brother; do you know what this is about?”

Lin Tianhao shook his head and said, ”I really don’t know, Old Bai just did deliveries for me, the suppliers on that end handled him. Who he’s close to, who he has good relations with, I don’t know any of that!”

”Is that so?” Ye Qing looked at Lin Tianhao, suddenly slapped the table, raised his voice and said, ”Boss Lin, stop playing tricks on me!”

”Ah?” Lin Tianhao was stunned for a moment, looking at Ye Qing with astonishment, he said, ”What... what have I done?”

Ye Qing’s voice was grave as he said, ”Lin Yaqing is already dead. Do you still want to continue being obstinately ignorant?”

”My... my aunt is dead?” Lin Tianhao abruptly stood up, looking at Ye Qing with shock and disbelief written all over his face.

”How did she die? How did she die? Was it you who killed her? Was it? Was it?” Lin Tianhao was about to rush at Ye Qing but was restrained by two prison guards.

”Mr. Ye, should we send him back to prison first?” one of the prison guards asked. Generally, for anyone else, they would definitely be sent straight back to prison. However, when Ye Qing arrived, Zhao Chengshuang had already been informed, so the meeting between him and Lin Tianhao had been arranged exceptionally well by these prison guards.

”No need, thank you!” Ye Qing waved his hand and asked, ”Could I have a word with him alone?”

The two prison guards looked at each other with evident difficulty, but ultimately they nodded in agreement. After all, they were from Shenchuan City, and naturally, they had heard of Ye Qing who by now in Shenchuan City was a person able to call the wind and summon the rain. They certainly didn’t dare to go against Ye Qing’s wishes.

The two prison guards left the room. Lin Tianhao was still slumped on the ground, his eyes red with rage as he stared at Ye Qing, shouting, ”I’m going to kill you! I’m going to kill you! I’m going to avenge my aunt!”

”If you want to avenge your aunt, killing me is useless!” Ye Qing shook his head and said gravely, ”By the time I found your aunt, she had already been killed!”

”What?” Lin Tianhao’s eyes widened as he asked in a deep voice, ”Isn’t it... wasn’t it you who killed my aunt?”

Ye Qing looked at Lin Tianhao and said, ”If you’re still alive, do you think I would kill your aunt?”

Lin Tianhao was momentarily taken aback, he was actually quite aware of Ye Qing’s methods. This man was somewhat old-fashioned when it came to carrying out his actions. Although he was especially ruthless, he generally did not kill. Now it seemed, Lin Yaqing probably wasn’t killed by him!

”Then who killed my aunt?” Lin Tianhao demanded angrily.

”That’s what I’d like to ask you!” Ye Qing replied gravely, ”When I investigated this case, the clues pointed to your aunt. But by the time I found her, she had already been murdered. Therefore, I suspect she was most likely killed to silence her!”

Lin Tianhao furrowed his brow and said in a low voice, ”Then who killed her?”

”If she was silenced, it would surely be those people she was working with!” Ye Qing looked at Lin Tianhao and said, ”You were involved in this matter too, don’t you have any idea who killed her?”

”I... although I was involved, I really don’t know what happened outside!” Lin Tianhao clenched his teeth and said, ”The last time my aunt came to see me, she only told me about this matter. She said that if you came looking for me, I should mention Old Bai. She said she had worked with others to set a trap for you, waiting for you to fall into it, so I cooperated with her!”

Ye Qing frowned, no wonder Lin Tianhao had been so straightforward last time; it looks like they really had a premeditated plan.

”Did she happen to mention who that person was?” Ye Qing asked seriously.

”I don’t know that.” Lin Tianhao shook his head and said, ”I don’t know anything about what’s going on outside, everything was handled by my aunt. Damn it, who is the bastard who dares to kill a member of the Lin Family?”

Ye Qing’s tone was cold as he said, ”Even Old Master Ding is dead, let alone your Lin family’s people!”

”Ah?” Lin Tianhao certainly knew Elder Master Ding’s status, and upon hearing this, he was even more astounded.

”What in the world happened outside?” Lin Tianhao asked, his voice trembling.

Ye Qing briefly recounted the events in Shenchuan City, and after hearing what Ye Qing said, Lin Tianhao fell into silence. It was clear to see that the death of his aunt, Lin Yaqing, had indeed dealt him a great blow. After all, he was from an offshoot of the Lin family, and the person who treated him the best was Lin Yaqing. After he went to prison, the person who often visited him and took care of him was also Lin Yaqing. So, the death of Lin Yaqing was a great shock to him.

”So it turns out, my aunt really was silenced!” Lin Tianhao slammed a heavy fist onto the table and said with a low voice, ”Who is it! Who was it! Who did it!”

”I will continue to investigate this matter, no matter who it is, I’ll catch them!” Ye Qing looked at Lin Tianhao and said resolutely, ”But right now I don’t have enough clues. Lin Tianhao, if you truly want to avenge your aunt, then tell me everything you know. Maybe I’ll find some clues!”

If it were before, he would never choose to cooperate with Ye Qing. But this time was different. His aunt, Lin Yaqing, had been killed, and he was willing to put aside his grudge against Ye Qing in order to seek vengeance for Lin Yaqing!

”I really don’t know any clues here, my aunt only instructed me that much, I don’t know anything else!” Lin Tianhao fell silent for a while, then gritted his teeth and said, ”However, I do know another very important thing, though I don’t know if it will be of any use!”

”What is it?” Ye Qing asked eagerly.
