Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 230: Chapter 213: Pei Yuhao’s Love Letter Incident

”Qianqian, I didn’t expect you to see me like this.” Pei Yuhao said, his face flushing as he held the pink letter in his hand, ”If it’s from you, I might consider it.”

”What? What is this?” Luo Qianqian took the letter from Pei Yuhao’s hand, and after reading it, she was covered in goosebumps. The love letter was so nauseating, yet it was supposedly from Luo Qianqian. Oh, and signed ”Loving you and always will, Luo Qianqian.” Her hand shook, and the letter fell to the floor, picked up by Pei Yutian.

”Don’t look at me like that, I’ll get embarrassed,” Pei Yuhao said, covering his face like a shy young bride.

”Brother, stop fooling around,” Pei Yutian said, looking at Luo Qianqian. ”What do you think?”

”Probably those crazy fans,” Luo Qianqian said, glancing at the seats nearby, the likes of Qian Yuling. Although, they had become much quieter after the last exam incident.

”Qianqian, don’t say that. They must have seen your feelings and written it for you. Just admit you’re into me,” Pei Yuhao said with a smirk. ”But, given your essay writing abilities, it should be better than this, even with the typos.”

Luo Qianqian pulled out a red pen from her pencil case, laughed lightly, and started correcting the wrong words and grammar issues, even drawing wavy lines to indicate a good sentence. ”Look at this handwriting, can it compare to mine?” She looked pleased with her red ink markings.

”It’s not as good as yours, but clearly, this isn’t someone from our class,” Pei Yutian said with a sneer looking in Wang Yang’s direction. After Luo Qianqian directly identified the culprit from the handwriting, who in the class would dare frame her like this?

”Pei Yuhao, don’t you have some fiancée or childhood sweetheart kind of girl? I always feel like I’m the one taking the blame,” Luo Qianqian said, her lips twisting in dissatisfaction.

”Qianqian, are you going to abandon me?” Pei Yuhao said with a look of a wronged woman.

”Brother, stop it. Have you forgotten what happened last time? It’s not every time that we have a way to deal with this. What if Qianqian gets hurt because we’re not careful?” Pei Yutian stuffed the love letter into Pei Yuhao’s chest.

”Actually, Pei Yuhao,” Luo Qianqian suddenly said seriously, looking at both of them, ”just say you like men.”

Pei Yuhao almost couldn’t control himself and almost threw the pencil case at Luo Qianqian’s head upon hearing what he thought would be a good idea.

”No way,” surprisingly it was Pei Yutian who spoke first, with Pei Yuhao looking at his brother moved, ”My brother is at most bisexual, especially since he gets nosebleeds anytime he sees a bikini beauty.”

”Pei Yutian!” Pei Yuhao, embarrassed and enraged, couldn’t help it. Anyone who saw such scenes would lose control.

Luo Qianqian laughed lightly, but her expression was a bit dim, unnoticed by anyone.

During lunch break, except for Shen Yan and Han Lei who were absent, including the four from Class One, they all sat on the sports field eating ice cream.

”What kind of person do you all like?” Luo Qianqian suddenly asked, ”It seems like there’s a lot of love in school recently.”

”You’re still young, why think about these things?” Li Qi, sitting next to Luo Qianqian, draped an arm around her shoulders, ”If you think about dating early, I’ll be the first to disagree.”

Luo Qianqian shook her head with a smile, ”I won’t. I promised my brother I wouldn’t think about this before college. What future can middle-schoolers who can’t even see their future talk about? What right do they have to say ’love you for all eternity’?”

”I don’t have a special stance on early dating,” Li Qi said slowly after hearing Luo Qianqian’s reply, ”First, they should be good-looking, then, good at basketball, and lastly, have a nice voice.”

”For me, as long as he is someone worth my love, that’s enough,” Chu Ci said with a smile and a look of longing. ”But I’m like Qianqian. I don’t think middle school students have such foresight.”

”The person I like has to be the most outstanding, someone who shines like a main character from the moment they appear,” Xia Qi said, propping her chin and looking at the sports field.

As the girls all shared their thoughts, the boys also laughed and shared their own desires.

”Big chest, beautiful, long wavy hair down to the waist, a slim waist, long legs,” Yang Weizhuang said first, prompting a round of laughter and teasing about his being precocious.

Qiao Xiyang hummed and slowly said, ”Someone I can study and improve with.”

”Worthy of love.” Gu Yanzhi looked up at the sky, his eyes bright, ”I will strive to become someone who is worthy of her.”

”The person Yanzhi likes seems very outstanding.” Pei Yutian chuckled lightly, looking at the playground, his lips slightly curving upward, ”Who do I like? Someone like Qianqian is good, smart, wise, and cute, but Qianqian is too short and her figure too lean, like a bean sprout that hasn’t grown properly.”

”Pei Yutian, are you looking for trouble?” Luo Qianqian snapped in embarrassment and anger.

But she was stopped by Xia Qi, ”He is praising you. When you grow up, you’ll be the girl of his dreams.”

Then she quietly watched Pei Yuhao.

Pei Yuhao was stunned for a moment before he said, ”Perhaps someone like Cherry Maruko?”

”So, are you Hanawa-kun?” Luo Qianqian picked up the conversation.

Pei Yuhao smiled and did not refute.

Lou Qianqian looked at her friends, feeling a bit of melancholy. Was that love letter a test or...

The next day, the long-haired Xia Qi cut her hair short, the length at her neck, with choppy bangs.

”Why did you suddenly change your hairstyle?” Li Qi asked in surprise, looking at his deskmate’s hairstyle.

”Long hair affects intelligence.” Xia Qi patted her hair, ”Does it look good?”

Li Qi nodded, ”It suits you really well.”

”I just like flowing long hair,” Luo Qianqian said with a light laugh as she approached the two, ”because it has more of a literary vibe. Your hairstyle really suits you,” and it’s also very Cherry Maruko-like.

Luo Qianqian didn’t say this last part out loud, but Xia Qi could already tell. Luo Qianqian saw from the look in her eyes and apologized, shaking her head gently, ”The person I like doesn’t change, and I won’t change myself either. If someone likes me or dislikes me because of that, then it means they’re not my Emperor.”

”Qianqian... ”

”Do what you think is right, but don’t involve others anymore, I am not interested.” After this meaningful statement, Luo Qianqian returned to her seat.

”What’s going on?” Li Qi looked at the two, a face full of confusion.

”It’s nothing.” Xia Qi sighed softly. How could such a smart kid not understand her intentions? But love, if it could be controlled, wouldn’t leave so many hitting a wall and refusing to turn back.

”Qianqian, you better not go and cut your hair short.” Pei Yutian hurriedly said as he watched Luo Qianqian return with a gloomy expression, ”That long hair affects intelligence is just a fallacy.”

”What I like, no one can change; what I dislike, no one can force on me.” Luo Qianqian smiled and said no more.

Yet she thought to herself, maybe only He Wenyu would ever fall for the same person as her, only to both back out afterwards? But his taste isn’t the same as He Wenyu’s, so no need to worry about that.

During the lunch break, Luo Qianqian went to find Chu Ci alone.

Chu Ci asked nothing, simply accompanying Luo Qianqian around the playground, ”Those who are meant to leave will leave no matter how long they’ve been around, those who aren’t meant to leave won’t, even if you beat them with a stick.” Seeing the slight surprise in Luo Qianqian’s eyes, Chu Ci pursed her lips and chuckled lightly, ”Isn’t that so?”
