Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 201: Chapter 188: Wedding Dress Photoshoot_2

”Come on, Brother, hold the flowers, kneel on one knee in front of your sister, and present the flowers like this. Sister, cover your mouth with both hands and look surprised—yes, just like that. Brother, switch to the other knee... perfect.”

”A hand-kiss, throw the flowers aside, sister, put your other hand on your chest... perfect.”

”Both the male and female leads are done with styling; are you still taking pictures of the child???” The stylist looked at the over-the-top photographer speechlessly: ”Hurry up, we’re going on location now.”

Luo Qianqian finally relaxed.

Luo Shufan, on the other hand, resolved to put the photo in his wallet and show it to any suitable young man he met as a potential introduction.

After the photographer left, looking at Luo’s Mom, Luo Qianqian covered her mouth. There had never been a wedding photo at home, and she had never seen a photo of her dad and mom together; seeing Luo’s Mom now, she was truly stunning—it’s no wonder they say the bride is the most beautiful.

The strapless white dress with crystal decorations, the bare back partly veiled by the white fabric draped over her head, giving a hazy effect; her hair was done up in a low bun, topped with a tiara and covered by a veil: ”Mom, are you a fairy?”

Luo Qianqian’s playful words made everyone laugh, and Luo’s Mom’s face flushed with shyness.

”These few sets will do.” Lin Xu chose the most expensive package, so the bridal shop provided a car for convenience in changing outfits, and even the indoor scenes took place in a rented villa—a thoroughly attentive service.

By the beach, Lavender Manor, ancient architecture, the stables, swings, swimming pools—Luo Qianqian’s unique and quirky requests were all met. Lin Xu laughed and paid extra, insisting on printing every photo, even arranging for a special album for Luo Qianqian alone, much to Luo’s Mom’s delight.

”Your dad is really thoughtful.” After a long day, Luo Shufan lounged in the car and said to Lin Jiayou.

”Of course, don’t you know whose dad that is. But Qianqian is really something else.” Lin Xu and Luo’s Mom were still posing for outdoor shots, and Luo Qianqian was excitedly joining in. While they were all wiped out, Luo Qianqian kept coming up with ideas, and cooperated as a prop, like putting on big wings for a silhouette shot or holding up reflectors, never complaining or saying she was tired.

But that evening, on the way home, Luo Qianqian fell asleep in the car, mumbling, ”Mom must be happy,” which moved Luo’s Mom and Lin Xu immensely, inadvertently proving that daughters are more caring than sons, as they completely ignored their two sons who were also sleepily hugging Luo Qianqian in the backseat.

Lin Jiayou looked at the sleeping Luo Qianqian, feeling helpless. She was clearly so tired, why did she keep pushing herself? There were still indoor scenes to shoot tomorrow.

When Luo Qianqian woke up the next day, she had been changed into pajamas, but now she was in a hotel and the room was empty.

”Mom? Brother?” Luo Qianqian called out as she got out of bed, but just as her feet touched the ground she furrowed her brows—the shoes from yesterday had really taken their toll.

That’s when Luo Shufan came into the room with his card key, holding some food, and upon seeing Luo Qianqian getting up, he said, ”You’re finally up; it’s almost noon.”

”Where’s Mom?” Luo Qianqian asked, then tried to get out of bed, but the pain in her foot made her wince and collapse to the floor, thankfully onto the carpet.

”She’s gone to do indoor shots. What happened to you?” Luo Shufan set the tray down and helped his sister up, his face growing dark when he saw her swollen ankle: ”With your foot like this, what else do you plan on doing? Just stay put.”

”No, Brother, we have to go,” Luo Qianqian shook her head.

”If you want to take photos, I’ll bring you back once you’ve healed. You’re hurt; can you stop being so stubborn?” Luo Shufan gently massaged his sister’s ankle, wondering how she had managed to endure the day before with it so swollen.

”What happened?” Lin Jiayou came in just then, carrying food as well. The day before, they had booked a double room and a triple room: Lin Xu, Lin Jiayou, and Luo Shufan in one room, and Luo’s Mom with Luo Qianqian in the other. So when they woke up and left with Lin Xu and Luo’s Mom, it was about the same time. Worried about Luo Qianqian, Luo’s Mom had given Luo Shufan her room card before leaving, but had not noticed Luo Qianqian’s injury because Luo Qianqian had been sound asleep when carried back to the hotel.

”Qianqian’s foot is injured, yet she insists on going,” Luo Shufan released his hand to let Lin Jiayou see the swollen ankle.

”I’ll go buy some medicine,” Lin Jiayou said immediately upon seeing how much it had swollen.

”Brother Lin, come back, we have medicine at home,” Luo Qianqian bit her lower lip, ”I can’t apply medicine right now.”

”What on earth are you trying to do?” Luo Shufan got angry and rubbed his sister’s ankle forcefully.

”Brother, how many times can Mom take wedding photos? Just this once, if we don’t go it feels like something’s missing. If I get hurt, won’t that make Mom feel guilty too? Can’t you consider both Mom and Uncle Lin for a moment? This is their big day, let’s not let this little injury affect their mood,” Luo Qianqian said enduring the pain, tears were already in her eyes, as if they would fall out at any second.

Luo Shufan was stunned, so was Lin Jiayou. Yes, yesterday Luo Qianqian had obviously been so tired she fell asleep as soon as she got in the car, yet she still followed through to the end. She had obviously swollen to this extent but still stuck with it, while they had taken it easy and lounged in the car early.

”No wonder they say a daughter is a mother’s little cotton-padded jacket,” Luo Shufan said with a bitter smile, ”Can you still walk like this?”

Luo Qianqian frowned, gently shook her foot, and gritted her teeth, ”It’s fine, we’ll be indoors anyway, and later I’ll choose a dress that drags on the floor, so I won’t have to wear those torturous shoes.”

Only then did Luo Shufan remember that his sister had been wearing heeled shoes the day before and felt a pang of heartache, ”I’ll carry you there later, just bear with it a little. I’ll apply medicine to you in the evening.” They could not apply medicine now because of the strong scent, which could be detected. After considering it, Luo Shufan agreed with his sister’s approach, as long as he was more careful, his sister could be at ease.

Indeed, it was easier indoors. All three children had arrived, and both Luo’s Mom and Lin Xu had indeed breathed a sigh of relief. The somewhat stiff expressions from before also returned to normal. Luo Qianqian wore a white long dress, the length of the skirt perfectly concealed her ankle, and she sat on the couch barefoot, her long hair casually braided a few times, with a crown of leaves, perfectly concealing her ankle.

”Lazy piggy Qianqian, have you had enough sleep? You must be exhausted,” Luo’s Mom looked at her daughter with a face full of concern.

”Exactly, Mom mustn’t think she can keep me out of the picture just because I’m not around. After all, I’m so adorable,” Luo Qianqian said playfully, cajoling Luo’s Mom.

”Auntie, you should quickly go get your hair and makeup done,” Lin Jiayou said with a light laugh, pulling away Luo Qianqian, and said to the photographer, ”Could you please take a few shots of the four of us?”

Lin Xu pointed at himself in surprise, about to wave his hand in refusal, when he was pulled over by Luo Shufan, ”Uncle, come on over quickly.”

They had already agreed on the way there, to do whatever it took to make the two adults happy and joyful, so they had to cooperate no matter what.

Luo Qianqian went from sitting on the ground to being in Luo Shufan’s arms, then to Lin Jiayou’s arms, and finally to Lin Xu’s arms, the four of them all smiling broadly.

After Luo’s Mom finished her makeup, they took another round of family photos. Only then did Luo Qianqian and the others step back, giving Luo’s Mom and Lin Xu time to finish their shoot.

”When Mom and the others come out in their changed clothes, you playfully ask me to carry you,” Luo Shufan instructed his sister.

The photographer stepped forward and handed over a tube of ointment, ”It’s on the house. This is very effective for this kind of swelling and pain.” He smiled and continued, ”You kids are all so good.”

Luo Qianqian blinked, curling the corner of her mouth, ”Thank you, big brother. You have to keep our secret, and please help me fix any revealing spots.” Her words implied, use Photoshop if possible, retouch the photos if necessary, and if all else fails, cropping the pictures would also be good.

”Thank you so much,” Lin Jiayou quickly stepped forward to say.

”It’s nothing, if only I could have children as considerate as you in the future,” the photographer said with a light laugh.
