The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 446: Chapter 446- The Battle That Erased the Valley (3)

With his body practically merged with lightning, Zargeus looked suave and unbridled. Though he didn’t get too much screen time.

People who were watching the live broadcast suddenly saw the lightning sky tear apart. What came through it was a dark, starry sky, a stark contrast from the daytime that was above them.

It was only the valley and the surrounding land that was experiencing a sudden nightfall.

As the people looked on with bated breath, the stars that appeared on the screen started glowing.

On the distant hill, Leona, the commander of Lunar Veil, raised her sword up.

At that moment, all the energy from the stars and celestial bodies above, including the moon, channeled into her sword.

”[Astrea’s Edge],” muttering two soft words, the knight swung her sword down.

In that moment, all that channeled celestial energy formed a giant crescent arc that descended down like a comet’s tail.

Within seconds, the land and space for miles was cut in half. The lightning disappeared, and for a second, the valley was bathed by the splendors of stars.

Of course, the starlight could not dominate the valley alone as it soon met resistance. Towering trees and roots erupted from the ground, mending soil and filling the valley with verdant flora energy.

In just a second or two, the valley that was on the verge of destruction was turned into a prehistoric jungle.

”Haha, what fun. Let me show you youths how resilient mother nature can be.”

Standing at the heart of the blooming jungle that did not exist just until a moment ago was the commander of the Knights of the Enduring Spirit, Conrad, the [Guardian of the Forest].

He tapped at the ground with his sword cane, and at the very next instant, it was as if the forest came alive. Roots, branches, trunks, and leaves, everything twisted and turned, latching onto everything in an attempt to bind everyone.

Of course, how could it be so easy to hold the knights who were generational talents and had climbed their way up to the ranks of the Seven Commanders?

Zargeus dodged the incoming flora with lightning like speed, his movements too fast for eye to perceive.

As for Leona, she cut everything around her with the light of the stars.

Nevertheless, the more they cut or dodged, the more resilience the nature showed. The forest continued to spread until there was one man who put a stop to it.

”Who do you think you are trying to entangle? I am BRUTUS SPARTA!!”

A deafening call that shook the air. The man did not use any skill; it was just the raw power of his lungs and voice.

The very next second, his skin turned bright red, and so did his armor that looked like it was molten iron. His breath came in like steam, and his eyes turned into lava.

BOOOMMM... The earth beneath him glowed orange red for a second before bursting apart in a hot, fiery geyser that shot toward the sky.

”[Great Volcanic Eruption].”

The dark starry sky was distorted with volcanic ash covering the sky. The skill, matching its name, was like an actual volcanic eruption. Extreme flames, liquid lava, and volcanic bombs poured everywhere, burning the jungle and the valley.

ROAARRR!!

Just when it was about to assert absolute dominance, a loud roar, primal and feral, echoed across the valley. A shadow fell from the sky. A giant golden lion formed from pure golden essence.

”Your power is too wild and indiscriminate, Sir Brutus.”

A voice came from inside the lion. If one looked carefully, one would be able to see the figure of Marquis Herman suspended inside the lion.

The golden lion was the projection of the knight’s power, [Beast Knight]. Like a judge sentencing a criminal, he dropped his sword down. Simultaneously, the giant golden lion opened its mouth wide and consumed the boiling lava.

The beast’s eyes flashed with a primal hunger. It devoured fire, lightning, starlight, and even the forest, showing the dreadfulness of the primal predator.

While this happened, in the distance, Reinhardt picked himself up and dusted his clothes. The Seven Commanders were of a different breed really; their collective collision of power had pushed him almost to the edge of the valley.

”If you all are so keen on showing your skills, then count me in too.”

Saying so, the Divine Paladin raised one of his hands up. At that moment, the cloud froze, the magma slowed, and the primal lion’s roar was muted.

What followed was the sky brightening up like the dawn of a new day. A colossal giant sun that was actually pure divine energy appeared in the sky.

”[Lightforge Ascension].” The next second, as if giving the heaven’s mandate, Reinhardt brought his hand down.

Obeying his will, the large sun forged itself into a giant, radiant sword that cleaved through everything as it came down.

Facing the attack, the six commanders instantly recognized the skill. It was the same skill the Divine Paladin used to incinerate the high ranking demon that infiltrated their capital one year ago.

Now facing that attack that was heading for them, all of them had a grim face. Then it quickly turned into excitement.

The sword of heaven descended; it only traveled halfway when three giant rings filled with divine runes manifested out of nowhere.

These rings, each rotating in a different direction, enclosed the heavenly sword in the middle.

Levitating not far away from the rings was Vanessa. She flashed a cheeky smile toward Reinhardt before casting her skill.

”[Holy Disintegration].”

The three rings that were packed with holy power collided against his in the middle of the sky in a brilliant firework like manner. T

he scene was both beguiling and terrifying. Terrifying because the resultant chaotic energy that was released tore through space like it was made of fragile glass.

Through the broadcast, everyone could see the sky crack. Lines as thick as fissures appeared in the sky from the devastating collision of the skills of the two legendary heroes.
