The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 424: Chapter 424- Sealing The Demonic Treasure (2)

If push really came to shove, Reinhardt would interfere using his ultimate skills. However, till then, he decided not to intervene.

After a while, the other two commanders also finished their fight.

Marquis Herman slammed his sword into the Devil Brother, disintegrating the other party with his immense power. As he released a breath of air, the heat from his aura boiled the air near him.

Reinhardt could see it; the extreme knight had further developed his powers and was stronger than what he recalled from more than four years ago.

It was the same for Leona, who seemed to be able to bend the light around her. Her skills had definitely evolved.

Although it took a while, the knights too finished their job and gathered around them.

”Hm? Is something wrong?”

Leona, who noticed that Reinhardt looked a little unsettled, couldn’t help but ask. Her face was a mask of coldness and indifference as usual.

”No, it’s nothing,” he shook his head.

He was just slightly concerned about the squires he had brought with him.

Was the level of battle too much for them? However, the thread of fate was unmistakably coiling around them.

While the [Eyes of Divine Clarity], or in short God’s Eyes, did make everything clear, it could also see a little too much.

With so much information to feed on, it also contrarily made his actions restricted. Especially when it came to people like Kevin and Gwen, people who were favored by fate and had a destiny so great that they were covered in providence.

Just when Reinhardt was doubting his decision, the squires returned.

Looking at them, they seemed to have gone through an intense battle and came out alive from that trial. They were all covered in scratches and dirt; however, it was a medal of their courage.

The Bloomkeeper was safe too. As for Kevin...

At that moment, Reinhardt’s eyes widened a little. He could see a tremendous power surging deep within him. A power that took the form of a...

Reinhardt took a step forward and immediately blinked in front of the squires.

”Commander!! Kevin he...” His subordinates called out; clearly, they were worried about the boy who was yet to wake up.

”Don’t worry, he is alright. Tell me what happened later on,” Reinhardt reassured; he then cast a wide area [Radiant Renewal], healing the injuries of everyone.

Surprisingly, not a single dandelion dropped on Kevin’s body. It appeared that there was already a powerful healing force within the latter’s body doing its job. Still, it’s quite amazing.

’Even I didn’t think his identity would be that’.

Kevin had many titles and traits that were hidden by providence so as to protect the boy from being noticed by the Forces of Darkness early on. However, today one of them finally surfaced and was now slowly trying to acclimate his body to its level.

Once the transformation completes, it will be like a butterfly coming out of its cocoon. Kevin would no longer be his past weak self that everybody looked down on for having no mana.

No wonder the strings of fate wrapped around them. It was because this place was something the boy was destined to arrive at one day.

Reinhardt then glanced at the Bloomkeeper who stood beside the squires.

”I guess you helped out, too. You have my thanks, old friend.”

He could see the traces of the Bloomkeeper’s power inside the unconscious Kevin. For it, which had no offensive power, to step in, the situation might have been quite dire.

The stag looked at him with its deep spiritual eyes.

”I was happy to help the son chosen by providence.”

Although it did not say anything, Reinhardt knew what it was trying to convey.

”Now then, my friend, I will need your help once again to seal the source of the disturbance.”

The Bloomkeeper nodded, knowing its role well and the reason why it was summoned.

Reinhardt, with the mysterious looking holy beast by his side, appeared before an elevated platform in the middle of which was kept one of the most powerful demonic items known to man.

Ranking seventh in the Ultimate Demonic Treasure, it was the Abyssal Compass that was retrieved from the demon that tried to plunge the Kingdom of Solaris into chaos one year ago.

Usually, the platform would be heavily fortified with barriers and formations from the ancient artifacts, stopping anyone from getting closer to the item.

However, at this moment, they lay on the ground, destroyed. Someone had entered the vault, destroyed the artifact, and activated the Abyssal Compass.

”Can you stop this thing?”

Marquis Herman asked from the side.

Though thanks to the bioluminescent field, the contamination of the demonic energy was contained to some degree. However, the Abyssal Compass was continuously producing more.

If it was not stopped, containing the demonic energy would mean nothing.

The easiest way to go about doing this would be to destroy the item. However, the Ultimate Demonic Treasure, just like the Supreme Divine Treasures, was made of an ancient technology and material that made it nigh impossible to destroy.

The only thing they could do was seal it away.

Reinhardt stood there without saying anything. His eyes shone a bright gold as [Eyes of Divine Clarity] activated.

Scene after scene flashed in his mind, and the puzzles slowly fell into place. Finally, he nodded his head and gave the go to the Bloomkeeper waiting by his side.

At this moment, the latter’s antlers shone with a powerful light. Thick vines covered in luminous mushrooms and moss protruded out of the ground and encircled the Abyssal Compass.

Of course, it was not easy to contain an Ultimate Demonic Treasure even without a master. The demonic energy oozing out of the thing turned into a multi headed hydra that clashed against the divine energy released by the vines.

The opposite energies clashed in a powerful burst of light that sometimes plunged the vault into darkness; other times, it would be as bright as day.
