The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 445: Chapter 445- The Battle That Erased the Valley (2)

”I guess battle royale it is then; we fight until the time runs out while trying to keep the environmental damage to a minimum.”

Everyone nodded at Conrad’s suggestion. The latter smiled and disappeared the next second; the others too, as if they had a tacit understanding, hurriedly distanced themselves at a blinking speed.

The only ones that were left were Reinhardt, Brutus, and Vanessa, the legendary three.

”They ran away again,” Reinhardt grinned.

”Well, you can’t blame them. That skill of his is really annoying to deal with,” Vanessa answered.

The reason why the other four commanders immediately moved away from their place was because Brutus here always opened the battle whenever they fought with that skill of his. If you are a second late, there is no way to dodge it.

Brutus inhaled a deep breath of air; his chest expanded dramatically, and his eyes glowed like lava.

The next second.

ROARRRRR...

A soundwave so powerful that it destroyed hundreds of meters of land in an instant and continued to spread everywhere was released.

Given the level and strength of the Seven Commanders, they could easily endure destruction of this level. The reason they moved away was not due to the soundwave. No, it was because Brutus’ roar was no ordinary roar, but a call.

A powerful taunting skill granted by the class [Promethean Juggernaut] that caused those who survived the blast of the soundwave to go into a state of rage where their minds could not think straight and diverted all their aggression at the user.

Had it been any other person using the skill, the commanders wouldn’t even be fazed. However, the one using it was none other than a legendary level 10 hero. Even for them, it was difficult to defend against such a powerful mind attack.

Well, even if they could, it always made them open for a fraction of a second. Enough time for a knight of Brutus’ level to deal a heavy blow.

As evident, as soon as Brutus activated his [Centurion’s Call], the air was dyed red. All the monsters that were in the valley went into a berserk state; their eyes were masked with the same red glint.

The next second, they charged toward the center of the valley where Brutus stood.

”It’s as absurd as ever,” Reinhardt smiled, blocking his ears.

The Saintess next to him did the same. As legendary heroes who specialized in the holy attribute, they were the only ones who could block the attack.

”He is coming!”

The [Centurion’s Call] was just the beginning, a trademark of Brutus whenever the Seven of them fought. However, the real battle starts when he comes at you with his battle intent flared.

With a bear like physique and donned in heavy armor, the sheer stature of him was enough to cover the area in his shadow like a mountain.

And when he flung his fist, space caved. A layer of ripples wrapped around his hand, a telltale sign of the power bestowed with that attack.

BANG... Before the punch could land, another fist targeted his wrist, deflecting the attack skyward.

BOOOMM!!...

At that moment, the sky screamed, and the world turned red. That’s right, the sky above the valley for a couple of miles turned red from the pressurized heat that was released upward.

”Heh, you blocked that, huh?” Brutus grinned fiercely; his eyes contained slight traces of surprise.

”Well, I’m a level 10 hero too, you know. Besides, I have a reason why I cannot make a weak stand.” Reinhardt smiled, matching the other party’s aggression.

After what happened four years ago, many people have started doubting his strength and whether or not his level has gone down.

It was not only Guren and the other knights, the ordinary citizens too. Right now, when this entire thing was being live broadcast to the citizens of the kingdom, it was his perfect chance to set the record straight and show them that he hadn’t gotten weaker.

No, far from it, he had actually become stronger. And for this, he couldn’t ask for any better opponents.

”You have improved your skills,” a legendary level 10 hero was a legend after all. In just a single exchange, Brutus realized that Reinhardt was stronger than before.

”You two, stop hogging all the fun.”

At that moment, a large cross shaped sword came slashing toward them. Brutus blocked it with the shield in his left hand; however, the impact still sent him flying.

A scene that would cause millions of people to widen their eyes. Compared to Brutus’ imposing build, Vanessa was slender and delicate. Yet it was this delicate figure that sent the goliath like Brutus flying.

In the same breath, before the large cross could finish swinging fully, the Saintess twisted her body, shifting her center of gravity on her left foot and kicking him with her right.

BANG... The kick was extremely fast and the force behind the impact was so great that had it been any other hero, they would no doubt be sent flying just like Brutus.

However, the knight facing her was no level 10 hero from the past; no, he was someone who had taken a step beyond the realm of heroes.

BAM... Reinhardt caught the foot before it could slam into him; the wind from the kick rustled his now short hair.

Vanessa arched her brows, slightly surprised that her attack was stopped.

In that position, with her right foot upraised, their position was quite awkward. However, before the two could make their next move, the air changed colors again.

This time, it was dyed violet with dark thunderclouds looming over the valley. The next second, with a bright flash, a gigantic lightning centipede with thousands of legs came dropping.

RUMBLE ⚡⚡⚡...

A part of the valley was immediately destroyed. The shockwaves carved canyons into the valley floor, flinging boulders like grains of sand.

When the light and destruction settled, the two legendary knights were already gone, swept away by the blast of the shockwave.

In their place now stood Zargeus, the [Thunder Lord].
