School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 384: Chapter 438 You Silly Girl

”Girl!”

Chen Nan bellowed, his voice raw with exertion, as he stomped on the brakes with all his might.

Next to him, Su Yixuan also cried out in desperation. If Chen Nan hadn’t held her back, she probably would have flung the car door open and rushed out by now.

The ABS braking system of this high-end sports car was extremely effective. Despite Chen Nan slamming on the brakes, the wheels didn’t lock up; instead, they maintained the maximum friction to achieve the most effective braking.

If Su Yixuan hadn’t been in the car, Chen Nan would have already smashed the glass and bolted out.

But now, he had to stop the car first; otherwise, if it went out of control at such a high speed, Su Yixuan beside him would surely be doomed.

Because the stopping distance was a bit longer than the distance to Su Qingqing, the car stopped five meters away from the crowd.

”I’ll dive in to save her, and you mustn’t come down, or you’ll only get in my way!”

After saying this to Su Yixuan beside him, Chen Nan got out of the car, rushed to the bridge’s edge, leaped, and plunged into the surging waters of the river.

The water of the Ningjiang River was not very clear, especially at night. Even though Chen Nan had good eyesight, the visibility underwater was only about a meter.

Girl, you must be okay!

Chen Nan prayed inwardly, never having felt such anxiety.

It was only at this moment, when he might lose her forever, that Chen Nan realized how important this girl was to his heart.

He even had a fleeting thought that, as long as Su Qingqing was safe, he would be willing to let down his junior sister; but that was only a momentary thought, and he shook his head, refusing to dwell on it anymore.

Right now, the most important thing was to find Su Qingqing. As for everything else, thinking too much was useless.

A layer of white light swirled around Chen Nan as he circulated his True Qi to the utmost, moving like a streak of light, swiftly darting through the water.

With visibility of just a meter, he was like a blind man ramming around in the water.

Watching half a minute pass by without any clue, Chen Nan could only fret and continue searching downstream with the flow of the river.

”Girl, where are you... cough cough...”

Chen Nan was so frantic that he shouted underwater, accidentally swallowing water and nearly losing consciousness from choking.

During their last seaside outing, he had learned that Su Qingqing couldn’t swim. Now that she had fallen into the water, if too much time passed, he dared not imagine the consequences.

”Idiot, save me...”

Chen Nan thought he heard Su Qingqing’s cry for help.

Even though he knew it was an illusion, he believed it, following the direction of that voice in his mind. He kicked against a large rock on the riverbed and charged downstream with all his strength.

Perhaps it was a psychic connection, or maybe just a coincidence.

After searching ten meters downstream, Chen Nan saw Su Qingqing’s Ferrar that had been smashed and deformed.

At that moment, the car was submerged at the bottom of the river, its front severely deformed, and its windshield already shattered. The car’s airbags and curtains had all deployed.

Su Qingqing was sitting in her seat, one hand clutching the seatbelt wrapped around her.

It seemed she had tried to unbuckle the seatbelt to escape, but in her panic, she had fumbled, leaving the belt tightly fastened, while she had already closed her eyes.

She must have just fainted, she must only be unconscious!

Not daring to think the worst, Chen Nan focused his Qi and lunged forward, grabbing the seatbelt and tearing it apart with a huge pull, then quickly scooped Su Qingqing up in his arms. He kicked off the front of the car, and like a projectile, he shot toward the surface with great speed.

”Splash...”

As the water churned, Chen Nan emerged from the surface, anxiously shaking Su Qingqing’s shoulders, ”Girl, wake up, wake up!”

Su Qingqing’s face was pale, droplets of water cascading down her cheeks like withering flowers, exquisitely mournful.

”I won’t let anything happen to you, I definitely won’t!”

Qi surged within Chen Nan, holding Su Qingqing’s upper body above the water, pressing forcefully on her abdomen a few times, and suddenly a large amount of water gushed from her mouth.

Holding her waist with one arm and cradling her head with the other, Chen Nan took a deep breath and blew into Su Qingqing’s mouth.

Artificial respiration.

”Cough cough...”

Su Qingqing’s unconsciousness wasn’t serious, and after Chen Nan blew into her a couple of times, she coughed and came to.

”Girl, are you alright? Do you feel discomfort anywhere?”

Chen Nan said excitedly, unable to restrain himself from hugging her tightly in his arms, as if he was holding the most precious thing in his life, ”You silly girl, why did you run so fast, you scared me to death.”

”I’m fine...”

Su Qingqing sobbed, wrapping her arms around Chen Nan and couldn’t help but cry, ”If you dislike me so much, why do you still care about me?”

”Who said I dislike you?”

”You threatened me, said you would cut ties with me, and now you say you don’t dislike me.”

Su Qingqing cried, her voice full of grievance, ”You never used to talk to me like this before.”

Chen Nan tenderly stroked her hair, ”Silly girl, I cherish you too much to ever cut ties; remember, no matter what happens, I’ll always be your cousin, and I’ll never ignore you.”

”But that’s not what I want, I don’t want you to be my cousin, I want you to be my...”

”Alright, stop talking, I know it all,” Chen Nan interrupted her, ”You’re soaked through, staying in the water will give you a cold, let’s go up, Yixuan must be worried sick.”

”But...”

Su Qingqing stopped herself mid-sentence.

She knew Chen Nan was deliberately changing the subject. Looking into his eyes, Su Qingqing hesitated for a moment, then obediently nodded.

Because of Chen Nan’s prior instructions, Su Yixuan had been waiting on the shore.

From the moment Chen Nan emerged from the water with Su Qingqing in his arms, Su Yixuan saw everything. As soon as Su Qingqing reached the shore, Su Yixuan hugged her and wept bitterly, continuously calling her a foolish girl.

The two sisters were nearly separated by life and death, and some excitement under the circumstances was inevitable.

Seeing the two crying uncontrollably, Chen Nan couldn’t help but say, ”Yixuan, let’s go back first, Qingqing’s clothes are soaked through, and with the temperature dropping this late at night, she might catch a cold.”

”Yes, yes, home, let’s go home.”

Su Yixuan quickly pulled her sister towards the car. However, at that moment, two police officers from the site of the traffic accident walked over, blocking their way, ”Speeding at night, what if you hit someone? Do you even have any respect for traffic laws?”

Chen Nan glared at the police officer, ”What are you yelling for? When she was falling into the water, I didn’t see you jumping in to save her. With you behaving like this, what right do you have to lecture others? Go away and cool off!”

After saying that, Chen Nan pulled Su Qingqing away.
