School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 356: Chapter 404: Personally Taking Charge

”What’s wrong, Crown Prince? Did these people offend you?” Poison Wolf asked with a smile.

Right now, Chen Nan was seething with rage, in no mood for jokes, ”Cut the crap, can you investigate this within two hours or not?”

”It’s a bit challenging.”

Poison Wolf could tell that Chen Nan wasn’t joking and replied, ”Unless we use the intelligence network of the Sky Team, but that requires a direct order from you, Your Highness.”

”I don’t care what it takes, you must investigate this within two hours!” Chen Nan stressed.

Poison Wolf said, ”With your word, there will be no problem. I’ll issue the order on your behalf.”

”Good!”

After pondering for a moment, Chen Nan said, ”Thank you, brother.”

”Don’t be so serious, brother. That’s what you use me for when you’re feeling frustrated,” Poison Wolf laughed heartily, then hung up the call.

Chen Nan returned to the outside of the operating room, where Old Master Wang was restless, pacing back and forth in the hallway.

”Chen, Yu Ting’s leg seems to have been seriously injured. Can it be fully healed? She won’t become disabled, will she?” Old Master Wang anxiously said, then took out his phone, ”No, I must call her parents.”

”Don’t, don’t call them yet.”

Chen Nan stopped him, ”Rest assured, no matter what it takes, I’ll make sure Yu Ting doesn’t suffer any lasting harm. As for Uncle Han and the others, it’s better not to tell them for now. They’re currently working out of town and, even if they’re informed, they can’t come back right away. It would only make them worry.”

Old Master Wang hesitated for a moment and said, ”What you’re saying makes sense, let’s wait until Yu Ting comes out.”

Chen Nan nodded and asked, ”By the way, Old Master, could you tell me in detail what happened this morning?”

Old Master Wang was as anxious as ants on a hot pan, unsure what to do. Hearing Chen Nan ask, he started to recount the morning’s events in the woods.

After hearing Old Master Wang’s story, Chen Nan felt even more infuriated.

It turned out that Han Yuting was ambushed by Mountain Chicken and his gang in the forest on her way to school this morning. They tried to abduct her by force, but Han Yuting desperately resisted, which led the brutes to break her leg with an iron rod.

Then they tried to drag her into the car, shouting that they were going to gang rape her!

At that time, Old Master Wang was on his way to buy groceries and stumbled upon the scene, so he stepped in to intervene.

Seeing they were discovered, Mountain Chicken’s gang pounced on Old Master Wang, beating him until he passed out. He was left unconscious, unaware of what happened afterward.

However, according to Chen Nan’s guess, Mountain Chicken’s gang must have panicked, thinking they had killed Old Master Wang. Fearing the consequences, they abandoned Han Yuting and fled; otherwise, they wouldn’t have given up so easily.

”These heartless beasts, they’re a scourge while they live!”

A Killing Aura emanated from Chen Nan, the chilling ferocity of his presence causing Old Master Wang to shiver all over, ”Ch...Chen, are you alright?”

”I’m fine.”

Chen Nan collected himself and shook his head.

At that moment, the door to the operating room opened and the middle-aged doctor came out.

”Doctor, how did it go?” Chen Nan immediately approached and asked.

”It’s dangerous.”

The middle-aged doctor shook his head, ”The leg bone is shattered too severely, I can’t guarantee that she will fully recover.”

Chen Nan frowned, ”What do you mean?”

”If the surgery is successful, then there won’t be any issues, but if it’s not, her leg could end up shorter than the other,” the middle-aged doctor said as he took a pen and paper from the nurse: ”So, the surgery must have a family member’s consent in the form of a signature, who among you is her relative?”

”I’m her neighbor, would that be okay?” Elder Wang stood up.

The middle-aged doctor shook his head: ”No, it has to be a relative’s signature.”

Chen Nan fell silent for a while before asking, ”If we sign the consent, what are the chances of the surgery’s success?”

The middle-aged doctor hesitated for a moment, then helplessly said, ”The bone damage is too severe, there’s only a 20% chance.”

”20%!”

Chen Nan glared, then retorted before turning and walking toward the operating room, ”In that case, I really can’t trust you to perform the surgery on her. I’ll borrow your operating room; I’ll do it myself.”

”You’ll do it?”

The middle-aged doctor was taken aback and hurriedly grabbed Chen Nan, ”Hey, young man, don’t be impulsive, this is no laughing matter, don’t get agitated, calm down!”

”With only a 20% chance, how can I rest assured letting you operate?” Chen Nan turned back to look at the middle-aged doctor: ”I appreciate that you are responsible toward the patient, but I don’t want her to become crippled. I want her to be completely healthy and recover like before!”

”But this isn’t something you can accomplish just by talking tough!” The middle-aged doctor held on tightly to Chen Nan’s clothes and shouted, ”Security, this comrade needs to calm down, come and take him away.”

The two security guards nearby promptly started running over.

”In that case, I’m sorry.”

Chen Nan extended his hand and pressed on the middle-aged doctor’s chest, sealing his acupoint, and then broke his grip and walked into the operating room.

After locking the door from the inside, Chen Nan, to prevent any interruptions, moved a cupboard behind the door, and then walked over to the operating table.

At this moment, all the nurses and doctors had left the operating room.

Seeing Chen Nan come in, Han Yuting’s face lit up with surprise, and she pushed her hands down to sit up. Chen Nan hurriedly stopped her, saying, ”The doctor said there’s only a 20% chance of success for the surgery, are you afraid?”

Han Yuting currently had anesthesia on her leg and couldn’t feel any pain.

With a smile on her face, she looked at Chen Nan and shook her head, ”If you can be by my side, I am not afraid of anything, not even being disabled.”

What is this, like talking to a little lover?

Chen Nan sensed the ambiguity in her words and smiled, ”I’ve kept those doctors out, I’ll perform the surgery for you, do you trust me?”

”Really?”

Han Yuting nodded happily, ”I trust you.”

Chen Nan touched her slightly pale cheek, ”You don’t even ask if I’ve ever learned medicine, and just trust me like this?”

”I trust that you wouldn’t harm me,” Han Yuting said, ”If you didn’t have even a 20% chance, you definitely wouldn’t have stopped the doctors and taken it upon yourself to come in and perform the surgery.”

”Since you trust me so much, it seems I really can’t let you down.”

”You definitely won’t let me down, you’re the all-powerful big brother of the underworld,” Han Yuting said cheerfully.

Just having Chen Nan by her side made her feel particularly secure. It seemed that even if the heavens fell, she wouldn’t be afraid; perhaps this was what they called a sense of security.
