School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 365: Chapter 413: You’re Fired! Get Out!

Half a minute later, Chen Nan hung up the phone.

Watching the serious-looking Chen Nan, Wang Shumin couldn’t help but smile widely, ”You’ve finished your call, so there’s no problem now, right?”

He didn’t believe that Chen Nan really had any backing. In his view, Chen Nan was just bluffing to scare him; but Wang Shumin was determined to avenge his cousin and wouldn’t be frightened away by a few words from Chen Nan.

Glancing at Wang Shumin, Chen Nan said with a smile, ”All good now, if you want to arrest someone, go ahead and arrest me.” After speaking, he even gave a friendly smile.

Hmm?

Seeing Chen Nan like this, Wang Shumin couldn’t help but frown.

A sudden worry surged in his heart. Did this guy really have some powerful backing?

However, when he thought about Chen Nan being just an ordinary student, he immediately felt relieved. He swept his gaze over the police officers around him and ordered, ”Take him away.”

”Swish, swish, swish...”

Two officers approached and twisted Chen Nan’s hands behind his back, getting ready to handcuff him. But just then, Wang Shumin’s phone rang.

Chen Nan had just finished his call, and then Wang Shumin’s phone rang immediately after.

In an instant, all the police officers furrowed their brows, and even the two who had grabbed Chen Nan’s arms stopped their handcuffing.

Wang Shumin took out his phone calmly and composedly.

But upon glancing at the screen—

”Thump, thump, thump...”

A series of footsteps were heard. Wang Shumin had only seen the caller ID number when he shivered all over and stepped back several paces, nearly falling to the ground.

He took a deep breath and with a look of suspicion glanced at Chen Nan before answering the call, ”Chief... Chief!”

The Chief!

At Wang Shumin’s words, the color drained from every police officer’s face.

Especially the two who had been holding Chen Nan’s arms; they quickly let go and moved aside.

The Chief of the Public Security Bureau personally calling the station chief at this exact moment—any fool could guess this likely had something to do with Chen Nan!

The Chief of Ningjiang City’s Public Security Bureau was none other than Zhang Wenshan, who had been extorted by Chen Nan last time.

On the phone, nobody knew what Zhang Wenshan was saying, but Wang Shumin kept nodding, repeating mostly the same phrase, ”Yes, you’re right to chastise me, of course, I’m just an idiot, I shouldn’t have pursued personal vendettas, I shouldn’t have caused trouble for you, I don’t deserve to be a policeman...”

Watching Wang Shumin’s apologetic expression and his head bobbing up and down on the phone, all of the police officers broke out in a cold sweat.

Who exactly was this Chen Nan?

The look in everyone’s eyes when they turned to Chen Nan now included a bit more fear.

As for the students outside the window, they all stared dumbly at Chen Nan, with envy or jealousy from the boys. As for the girls, most of their eyes were sparkling as they stared unblinkingly at Chen Nan.

”Chief, please don’t, don’t fire me. I will certainly make amends and earn my redemption, definitely!”

Wang Shumin suddenly blurted out such a phrase, making everyone around him gasp.

”Yes, yes, you’re right, Chief. I’ll come back immediately. I’ll never dare again and will definitely be honest. Please help me plead for mercy with the authorities above, give me one more chance!”

Wang Shumin alternated between a flattering smile and pitiful begging, the expressions on his face were quite the sight to see.

After being chastised by Zhang Wenshan for about three to four minutes, Wang Shumin put the phone away with a gloomy face and then turned to Chen Nan, with a completely ingratiating manner, ”Mr. Chen, I’m truly sorry, we got the wrong person.”

In an instant, the students outside the window all widened their eyes in disbelief, staring non-stop at Wang Shumin.

That excuse, it’s just too fake, right?

”Got the wrong person?” Chen Nan looked at Wang Shumin in some surprise, ”Does that mean it wasn’t me who was in the KTV fight?”

”No, no, of course not.”

Wang Shumin quickly shook his head, cursing inwardly. Why are you asking so many questions when I’ve already said it was a case of mistaken identity? In front of all these people, can’t you just let me save some face?

Scratching his head, Chen Nan said, ”But I clearly remember beating someone up at the KTV last night, and it was quite severe.” He looked at Wang Shumin quizzically, ”Inspector, could it be that I’m mistaken?”

God damn it, are you intent on slapping me in the face?

Wang Shumin was angry but dared not express it. Although he didn’t know Chen Nan’s exact status, he knew this was someone even the Chief dared not offend.

On the call earlier, Zhang Wenshan had made it clear: the person who wanted to demote him was not ordinary; it was a heavyweight from the Capital!

Wang Shumin smiled obsequiously, nodding eagerly, ”Yes, yes, you must have remembered wrong. Besides, with your character, you must be one of the school’s best students, a good comrade among the people, a model citizen of society. With your integrity, how could you possibly hit someone? We definitely made a mistake.”

At these words, everyone around, whether police officers or students, was flabbergasted.

This station chief was taking things a bit far, wasn’t he?

Just a moment ago, he was fierce and menacing, and now, in the blink of an eye, he turned into a tail-wagging dog.

With a sigh, Chen Nan nodded, ”Now that you mention it, it seems like that is indeed the case.”

”Yes, Mr. Chen, you have an excellent memory indeed. That’s exactly what happened,” Wang Shumin kept nodding, ”So... if there’s nothing else, I won’t disturb your studies any longer. I’ll leave first.”

Chen Nan had always had no patience for those who bully the weak and fear the strong, and with a flick of his hand, he said, ”Get lost.”

Get lost!

At this word, Wang Shumin’s face darkened, but he dared not lose his temper. He gestured hastily to the officers, ”What are you standing around for? Fall out!”

The officers breathed a sigh of relief, flooding out of the classroom like a tide, afraid that if they moved too slowly, they would get themselves involved.

Wang Shumin suppressed his rage and bid farewell to Chen Nan, then scurried out of the classroom, defeated.

Outside the classroom.

The eyes of the teaching director and all the students when looking at Chen Nan were filled with surprise.

When they first saw Chen Nan making the phone call, they thought he was just showing off, but the turn of events had taken everyone by surprise and was completely unexpected.
