School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 376: Chapter 429: Li Xiao’s Request

”Silly, what are you staring at?”

Seeing Chen Nan staring out the window for quite a while without snapping back to reality, Su Qingqing couldn’t help but look curiously as well, immediately puffing up her little mouth, ”Look at you, silly, transfixed by a beauty as soon as you see one.”

Chen Nan came to his senses and shook his head, ”No, that’s a friend of mine, she must have come for me, I’ll step out for a moment.”

After speaking, Chen Nan didn’t wait for Su Qingqing to respond, he straightforwardly raised his hand to ask the teacher for a leave and walked out of the classroom.

The woman standing outside the door was none other than Li Xiao.

When she saw Chen Nan emerge, a smile appeared on her face, ”Why aren’t you attending your class properly, and yet you’ve come out?”

”You must have been looking for me, I couldn’t just let you stand out here waiting like a fool,” Chen Nan said with a smile, pointing to the front, ”Let’s go, let’s talk somewhere else.”

Li Xiao nodded her head.

Since they were at school, she didn’t get too close to Chen Nan, but simply followed behind him.

Outside the school gate, Li Xiao’s Porsche 911 was parked there. Chen Nan opened the door and they both sat down, one on the left, the other on the right.

”How long has it been since we last saw each other?” Li Xiao suddenly asked.

Chen Nan was startled, ”A day!”

”No, to be exact, it’s one day and four hours thirty-six minutes.” Li Xiao turned to look at him with deep emotion and after a silence, she said, ”Have you missed me?”

”Yes...”

Chen Nan replied, lacking confidence.

He initially wanted to say no, but that seemed too hurtful, and he couldn’t bear to utter it.

Li Xiao shook her head, staring at him unblinkingly, ”Do you really miss me or not? I want to hear the truth.”

Chen Nan fell into silence.

He didn’t know how to respond. After hesitating for a while, he stretched his arm to embrace Li Xiao into his chest, letting her head rest against him as he stroked her hair, without saying a word.

”You don’t need to answer, I already know,” Li Xiao’s tone was very downcast as she clung tightly to Chen Nan, saying, ”I actually didn’t want to disturb you, but I couldn’t help it, I miss you more and more, my love for you is beyond redemption, what should I do?”

What to do?

Chen Nan really didn’t know what to do, patting her on the back, ”Silly sister, don’t overthink it, am I not right beside you now?”

”You scoundrel, why did you have to make me fall for you?”

Li Xiao looked up at him, her eyes growing moist, and punched his chest gently twice, ”How can I not overthink? You have become an indispensable part of my life. If in the future you don’t wish to see me, I really wonder if I’ll go insane.”

”Stop talking nonsense, how could I not see you? I absolutely will,” Chen Nan, seeing her so heartbroken, really wanted to say that he would never leave her, but he couldn’t make such a promise. He was not just one person now; he had a junior sister.

A promise is a commitment.

A man should either make no promises, or must fulfill them once made.

Li Xiao’s eyes held a speculative look as she said, ”The one month you mentioned last time is almost up, will you still see me when your junior sister returns?”

Chen Nan bit his lip and nodded, ”Of course I will! But, I still hope you can move on. Between us, it’s very hard to have a future.”

”But I can’t move on. As long as I live, I can’t forget you!”

Li Xiao instinctively held on tighter with both arms, as if Chen Nan would slip away the moment she let go, ”I’ve asked myself time and time again, what’s so good about you? You’re not rich, you’re younger than me, and to top it off, you’re a married man. Most importantly, there’s no place for me in your heart. But still, I can’t help but think of you. The more I question myself, the more I miss you. Do you think I’m silly?”

Chen Nan held her but said nothing.

The car was very quiet, the two of them embraced each other, each breath they took felt by the other.

After a moment of silence, Li Xiao bit her lip, gathered her courage, and said, ”Let me be your forever lover, okay?”

Before Chen Nan could speak, she continued, ”Don’t say anything yet, I don’t want to hear you refuse me. I know it’s hard for you and it makes me seem shameless. After all, I’ve said before that I didn’t want you to take responsibility, but now I really can’t be without you. Even if I can only be your secret lover for life, forever hidden from the light, I am prepared to pay that price. Little rascal, I’m thick-skinned enough to plead with you, won’t you agree?”

Chen Nan felt a coolness on his chest which was Li Xiao’s tears.

”But... that’s very unfair to you.”

”I don’t care, as long as you can spend time with me often, that’s all that’s enough,” Li Xiao said, looking up at him with tearful eyes, ”Please don’t refuse me, okay?”

Chen Nan looked into her eyes and nodded, ”I agree.”

He was well aware that by saying this, he was betraying his junior sister behind her back, but he had no choice, he couldn’t bear to hurt Li Xiao anymore.

Just like Gongsun Yudie said, women were his weakness, a fatal weakness.

He couldn’t bear to harm any woman, especially one like Li Xiao, a woman who loved him deeply.

Li Xiao’s face lit up with a smile, she happily kissed Chen Nan on the lips, ”You didn’t refuse me, I feel so fortunate right now.”

In an unequal love, the one who loves deeper, loses more miserably. Although love isn’t a competition or gambling, the principle is similar.

Seeing the smile on her face, at that moment, Chen Nan felt his heart moved slightly.

”You female hooligan, always kissing me forcefully,” Chen Nan said with a smile as he gently pinched her face, ”If you’re this bold again in the future, I’ll have to punish you.”

Li Xiao giggled and threw herself into his embrace, hugging him tightly, ”Whatever punishment is fine with me, as long as it’s sweet.”

”Then I won’t be polite, let’s talk about it after I kiss you back.”

Chen Nan chuckled and was just about to kiss her lips, but at that moment—

”Thump thump thump...”

The car window was knocked on.

Chen Nan looked up and outside, his whole body shuddered in fright, for some time Lan Yuqin had come to the car, and it was unknown how long she had been watching.

Seeing Chen Nan cozying up with this woman in the car, Lan Yuqin felt a deep sourness in her heart.

With an unpleasant expression and eyes glaring fiercely at Chen Nan, she said, ”Come to my office.” After saying that, she turned and walked towards the school.

Li Xiao looked at Chen Nan, puzzled, ”Who is this woman?”

”My homeroom teacher.”

Chen Nan said helplessly, planting a kiss on her face, ”I need to go back now.”

”Alright, go ahead!”

After Chen Nan got out of the car, he followed behind Lan Yuqin.

He felt very gloomy inside, thinking Lan Yuqin really had bad timing. She should have been staying in her office during work hours, not coming out to the school grounds!

(I’m feeling quite helpless today, the state of mind isn’t good, it took me over three hours just to write this Chapter.)
