The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 291: Chapter 290: Full Moon Banquet

As more and more people converged, Yiyi glanced at Cao Panpan and said, ”Alright, we’re about to start class. Let’s focus and prepare well.”

Cao Panpan saw it was getting late and didn’t say much more.

Once Yiyi and Cao Panpan took their seats, Tao Cuizhu and Wei Xiweng came over too. Seeing Yiyi and her friends, they naturally sat down beside them, then brought out their textbooks, pencil cases, and notebooks.

”Is Feng Yudan and An Xueqing skipping class today?”

Seeing that class was about to start, Cao Panpan couldn’t help but look around.

Tao Cuizhu said somewhat irritably, ”Neither of them is coming to class. I heard they’ve already asked the teachers for leave. An Xueqing has to shoot a film, so she asked for several more days. As for Feng Yudan, who knows what she’s doing but she also took a week’s leave.”

Upon hearing this, Cao Panpan shrugged and didn’t ask further.

Once class began, everyone stopped talking and listened attentively.

Then, on Wednesday, Yiyi also went to the teacher to ask for leave.

”You’re asking for leave too?”

Director Sun saw Yiyi coming to ask for leave, furrowing his brows tightly, ”A lot of people in your dorm are taking leave this week, one after another, all for so many days.”

He actually knew about An Xueqing and Feng Yudan’s TV drama shoot and had talked to them before, but they just wouldn’t listen, and even their parents supported them acting, leaving him unsure of what more to say.

”Teacher, I’m asking leave because my sister’s little nephew is having his one-month celebration, so I’m going home to visit. But don’t worry, I won’t fall behind in my studies, and I’ll definitely catch up on the coursework from these days.”

Upon hearing this, Director Sun didn’t say more and simply approved Yiyi’s leave.

”Alright then, make sure to catch up on those days’ coursework once you return from leave.”

Yiyi has always been a top student, so he naturally trusted her. He had only said so much earlier due to the drama with An Xueqing and Feng Yudan.

After getting leave, Yiyi went straight home.

Ding Yuejun, seeing her daughter returning, quickly smiled and said, ”Yiyi, I’ve already packed everything. We can leave early tomorrow morning. I wonder if Qiangqiang has grown a bit.”

Hearing her mother, Yiyi couldn’t help but laugh, ”Qiangqiang must have grown some. We’ll get to see him this time, and by giving him a good hug, we’ll know if he’s gained weight.”

”That’s what you said.”

Ding Yuejun said, smiling broadly.

The next morning, mother and daughter set off for Houshan Town.

The one-month celebration was the next day, but upon arriving at Houshan Town, mother and daughter went straight to Mo Xiaohong’s house.

Mo Xiaohong was very happy to see her mother and sister come over.

”Mom, Yiyi, you’re here.” She said, rising from her seat.

Ding Yuejun hastily gestured for her to sit down, ”Xiaohong, sit down quickly. No need to entertain us, we’re family, why be so formal.”

Though Ding Yuejun said this, Mo Xiaohong still quickly invited them to sit down and served them tea with some snacks.

Seeing Mo Xiaohong so attentive, Ding Yuejun shook her head, then asked, ”Where’s Qiangqiang?”

Speaking of her son, Mo Xiaohong beamed and quickly said, ”He just fell asleep, inside the room. Shanshan is watching over him. Mom, Yiyi, if you want to see him, you can go right now.”

”Alright then.”

Ding Yuejun was quite missing Qiangqiang, the chubby boy, and upon getting up she walked with Yiyi to the room to see him.

”Wow, Qiangqiang has grown quite a bit since we left.” Ding Yuejun’s eyes were full of smiles, and she couldn’t resist reaching out to touch his forehead. But afraid of waking up the baby, she withdrew her hand after touching.

Yiyi was deeply fond of the plump, fair little nephew, finding him unbearably adorable.

Nearby, Shanshan was also very happy to see grandma and aunt, warmly greeting them, before they all whispered softly together.

As it was getting late, Ding Yuejun prepared to take Yiyi home.

”Mom, why don’t you and Yiyi have dinner before going back?”

Ding Yuejun waved her hand quickly, ”No need, no need. We’ll just cook some noodles once we get home. You still have children to take care of.”

At that moment, the Zeng Family returned.

Having been out all day to prepare for the next day’s celebration venue, they arrived home to find Ding Yuejun and her daughter about to leave.

Mrs. Zeng immediately urged, ”In-law, please stay for dinner before heading back.”

”No need, you must have a lot to prepare, so we won’t interrupt. We’re all family, so no need to be so formal.”

Seeing Ding Yuejun’s firm demeanor, Mrs. Zeng and the others didn’t press further, as there were indeed many things still to arrange at home.

Yiyi and her mother went back home, casually cooked some noodles, and rested afterward.

The next day, Ding Yuejun took Yiyi early in the morning to the Zeng Family.

”Oh dear, Qiangqiang looks so cute today!”

Seeing her grandson in festive one-month-old clothes, Ding Yuejun was overjoyed and promptly took out a large colorful envelope, fastening it onto Qiangqiang. She then took out two brocade boxes, one containing two gleaming golden bracelets, and the other a glittering longevity lock necklace.

Seeing these, Mo Xiaohong said quickly, ”Mom, these are too precious, we can’t accept them.”

”These are for my grandson. No need to refuse.” Saying this, she directly put the bracelets and longevity lock on Qiangqiang.

Yiyi had prepared gifts for the little nephew too. Seeing her mother had given them to Qiangqiang, she also took out her prepared red envelope, ”This is for Qiangqiang’s milk fund. You can’t let my little nephew go hungry.” Without waiting for Mo Xiaohong to speak, she stuffed it directly into her arms.

Mrs. Zeng, seeing all this, was filled with joy. In-laws being so generous, naturally, this grandma was delighted too, ”In-law, later we’ll head to the town’s eastern end, the celebration is set there.”

Upon hearing this, Ding Yuejun nodded, and the group headed over.

The one-month celebration was lively. Once Ding Yuejun and Yiyi finished dining, they accompanied Mo Xiaohong back to the Zeng Family’s house. After Qiangqiang fell asleep, they waved goodbye, ready to head home.

”Xiaohong, Yiyi and I are heading back to Shangjing tomorrow. You must take good care of Shanshan and Qiangqiang, and if any issues arise, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.”

Mo Xiaohong quickly nodded, ”Mom, I understand. If anything comes up, I will surely contact you and Yiyi.”

The three of them chatted a while longer before Yiyi and her mother went home, and the next day, both returned to Shangjing together.
