The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 266: Chapter 265: Can’t Wait

Gu Yaohua heard his son’s words, and without thinking much, nodded directly and said: ”Good, it is indeed time to set your marriage. Since you’re back this time, it’s just right, let’s arrange your engagement with Yiyi.”

Seeing that his father agreed, Gu Tingyu’s expression looked a bit better.

However, Yu Qiulan loudly opposed: ”No, how long has it been, how can you be getting engaged already, I don’t agree.”

Originally, Gu Tingyu was also thinking about persuading his mother more, but after seeing her efforts to match him with Shu Yunfang tonight, he had no desire to say more. He looked at Yu Qiulan calmly and said: ”Mom, I’m just notifying you, not asking for your approval. Besides, Grandpa, Grandma, and Dad all agree; even if you don’t agree, what does it matter.” After speaking, he returned to his room directly.

”Tingyu, you...”

Seeing her son completely ignoring her, Yu Qiulan’s face turned livid with anger.

Yet this time, even Gu Yaohua was heartily disappointed with his wife, ”If you continue to be obstinate, your son will only drift further away from you, and even the future daughter-in-law will not recognize you as her mother-in-law, so you better think it through.” After saying this, he shook his head and left too.

Seeing the attitude of the father and son, Yu Qiulan’s face turned grim, but now she seemed unable to do anything.

The next day, early in the morning, Gu Tingyu got up, washed up, and went straight to Shichahai to find Yiyi.

Yiyi saw Gu Tingyu coming, still a bit dazed, ”Gu Tingyu, why are you here so early?”

”I wanted to see you early, so I came over.”

Hearing such sweet words early in the morning, Yiyi suddenly woke up completely. She cast a playful glance at Gu Tingyu and said: ”You’re getting more and more glib now.”

”I’m not, I’m just speaking the truth.”

Seeing Gu Tingyu so serious, Yiyi couldn’t help but laugh, then said: ”Alright, come in quickly.”

Ding Yuejun saw Gu Tingyu and greeted him with a smile to have breakfast, ”Tingyu, I simply made some buns and egg pancakes, make do and have a little.” Saying that, she served them each a bowl of porridge.

”Aunt Ding, your egg pancakes are the best.”

Hearing this from Gu Tingyu, Ding Yuejun smiled broadly, ”As long as you like to eat them.”

After a few people finished breakfast, Gu Tingyu rarely stayed close to Yiyi; instead, he looked seriously at Aunt Ding and said: ”Aunt Ding, I want to tell you something.”

Seeing Gu Tingyu’s expression, Aunt Ding asked with some confusion: ”What is it?”

”I want to arrange the marriage with Yiyi first.”

Upon hearing this, Aunt Ding smiled broadly and said: ”Great, as long as you both are in love, set the marriage now, after Yiyi graduates, you can then get married.”

Seeing Aunt Ding agree, Gu Tingyu couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief and hurriedly said: ”Thank you, Aunt Ding.”

However, Yiyi said quietly on the side: ”It seems like I haven’t agreed yet.” Actually, she thought she was still in school and didn’t need to rush.

Upon hearing this, Aunt Ding patted her daughter and said: ”What do you need to agree to, it’s enough if I agree. You’re not young anymore, it’s better to settle it early. Besides, even if you don’t think for yourself, think for Tingyu; he’s older than you, so naturally, it should be settled early.”

Yiyi touched her nose and stopped speaking.

Gu Tingyu took the opportunity to speak his mind to Yiyi.

”Yiyi, are you still not wanting to get engaged?” Earlier, he hadn’t thought much, just believed that talking to Aunt Ding about the engagement, and then both families could arrange a good date, and the marriage would be settled. He forgot to ask Yiyi’s opinion, as he thought she was eager to get their matters settled as soon as possible, just like him.

Seeing Gu Tingyu’s tense look, Yiyi ’pfft...’ just laughed.

”Gu Tingyu, why are you so nervous?”

Gu Tingyu said seriously: ”Of course I’m nervous, afraid I haven’t considered your feelings and made you uncomfortable, afraid you don’t want to get engaged to me.” At this moment, he was truly tense and anxious, worried she would say no.

”Gu Tingyu, of course, I want to get engaged to you, want to marry you, and spend our lives together.”

Originally, Yiyi felt there was no rush, but seeing Gu Tingyu’s unease and tension, she thought settling things early would be good, making their relationship more rightful.

And hearing Yiyi’s words, Gu Tingyu was stunned on the spot.

Once he reacted, he already hugged Yiyi, twirling around, eventually unable to resist planting a kiss on Yiyi’s lips, ”Yiyi, I’m so happy, thank you.” Saying this, he picked up Yiyi, joyfully spinning around.

Seeing Gu Tingyu’s silly look, Yiyi couldn’t help but laugh, finally feeling a bit dizzy, she patted Gu Tingyu’s shoulder and said: ”Aren’t we going to visit Grandpa and Grandma? Let’s set off now.”

Only then did Gu Tingyu put Yiyi down, and the two went hand in hand to see the Elder Gu couple.

Old Mrs. Gu was very pleased to see her eldest grandson and Yiyi coming over.

”You two, come on in, just earlier your Grandpa was saying maybe you would come today, didn’t expect you really came.”

”Grandma, where’s Grandpa?”

Gu Tingyu couldn’t hide the smile on his face, making Old Mrs. Gu click her tongue in amazement.

”Tingyu, what good thing happened to make you so happy, your mouth almost reaching your ears.”

”What about ears?”

At this moment, Mr. Gu walked over, seeing Yiyi and Gu Tingyu, warmly greeted them.

”I was talking about Tingyu, he’s happy like a fool today, I’ve never seen him smile so joyfully before.”

Mr. Gu noticed his eldest grandson’s look too, couldn’t help but ask: ”What’s the good news?”

”Grandpa, Grandma, Yiyi and I plan to get engaged first, I’ve already discussed with Aunt Ding, she agreed too, our families should pick a time and confirm this, then choose an auspicious day to settle Yiyi’s and my marriage.”

”Really, that’s wonderful.”

Old Mrs. Gu heard this, clapped her hands in joy, ”I must quickly check the calendar, see when is best.” After speaking, she couldn’t sit still, quickly got up to find the calendar.

Even Mr. Gu nodded happily.

”This is good, your Grandma and I, tomorrow we’ll visit Yiyi’s family, quickly settle this matter.”

Seeing the eagerness of the Elder Gu couple, Yiyi pursed her lips and smiled.

Gu Tingyu, however, couldn’t wait, ”Grandpa, why wait until tomorrow, let’s find Aunt Ding now.”
