The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 287: Chapter 286: Different Circumstances

Hearing Wei Xiwen say this, Yiyi immediately laughed and said, ”Alright, alright, I will definitely go watch when I have time, but...” At the end of her sentence, Yiyi frowned and said, ”How come I don’t see An Xueqing and Feng Yudan returning to school? Are they not coming to report for the new semester today?”

At this time, Tao Cuizhu snorted coldly from the side.

”Hmph... they’re thinking about acting in TV dramas now, how would they remember to report in?”

Seeing Tao Cuizhu’s attitude, Wei Xiwen couldn’t help but say, ”Dorm leader, I think you’re too prejudiced against them. It’s quite good that they’re acting in TV dramas. Why do you always oppose it?”

Tao Cuizhu, however, earnestly said, ”They are students of our University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, but instead of studying traditional Chinese medicine properly, they ran off to act in TV dramas. Does that make sense to you?”

In her impression, acquiring medical skills and saving lives was the right path.

Yiyi knew that Tao Cuizhu never wanted An Xueqing and Feng Yudan to act, but everyone has the right to choose their future path, so she also chimed in.

”Dorm leader, everyone wants different things. Since An Xueqing and Feng Yudan like acting in TV dramas, they have the right to choose their own paths. When you see them later, make sure not to say such things to them.”

Tao Cuizhu knew she couldn’t impose her ideas on others, so she nodded with some frustration and said, ”Don’t worry, I know. I just feel sorry for them. They worked so hard to get into college, but they haven’t really learned any skills.”

The others really couldn’t argue against this. After all, mastering the art of medicine truly is a skill.

Although An Xueqing and Feng Yudan took part in last semester’s final exams, their coursework was obviously lagging, and their grades were not ideal.

”Ah, you can’t have it both ways; since they chose acting, their academics have fallen behind.”

Just as Cao Panpan finished her words, the dormitory door opened.

Everyone turned around and saw An Xueqing and Feng Yudan had returned.

”Hi everyone, I really missed you all over the holiday.”

First to enter was Feng Yudan. She saw the few people and smiled cheekily, then put some local specialties she brought onto the table. ”I brought some specialties from our hometown. Come and try them.”

Cao Panpan suddenly felt a bit embarrassed, as she had just been gossiping about An Xueqing and Feng Yudan and wasn’t sure if they’d overheard.

But seeing that the two didn’t seem any different, she didn’t think much more of it and smiled, saying, ”That’s great, I must have a good taste. But I also brought some local specialties from home; let’s all try them together later.”

In the end, everyone in the dorm gathered around the table, eating the specialties they each brought, and then they went to the classroom to report for the semester.

Seeing everyone getting along as usual, Yiyi was relieved.

She was truly worried that there would be conflict among her dorm mates.

Living together for this semester, everyone had gotten along well and happily. She hoped that the happiness would continue in the upcoming years.

However, she was also worried about Fei Erya, wondering if she had returned to report on time.

Fortunately, after the registration ended, Yiyi saw Fei Erya coming to find her.

”Erya, you’re back.”

Yiyi ran up with a face full of joy.

When Cao Panpan and the others saw Yiyi’s friend coming over, they quickly waved and said, ”Yiyi, we’ll head to the cafeteria first.”

Yiyi nodded and smiled, ”Okay, you guys go ahead, I’ll have a chat with my friend.”

Fei Erya also smiled slightly and greeted Cao Panpan and the others before walking toward the school gate with Yiyi.

”Erya, have the things at home been resolved?”

Fei Erya nodded quickly and said, ”Don’t worry, everything is settled. My dad and mom finally divorced. From now on, I’ll be with my dad, and Fei Wenya will be with Yan Jie.” At this moment, she didn’t even want to call her mother anymore.

However, she didn’t elaborate on the details.

At that time, Yan Jie and Fei Wenya were not so easily dealt with. Yan Jie used divorce as a bargaining chip, asking her father and her not to pursue the issue of Fei Wenya hiring someone to kidnap her.

Initially, her father did not agree, and Yan Jie firmly refused to sign the divorce. They continued to deadlock until Fan Qianshu intervened, and her father and Yan Jie finally divorced smoothly.

As for Fei Wenya, although she did not go to jail, she was taken away by the police. Now, those mother and daughter dare not come to bother their father and daughter anymore, which was truly satisfying.

Hearing this, Yiyi was also relieved.

”That’s great, you and your father can live well. But be careful when you go home in the future, lest Fei Wenya causes any trouble.”

Having a mother like Yan Jie and a sister like Fei Wenya was indeed worse than having none. It was really good that Erya could free herself from them.

”By the way, Erya, have you completed the school registration procedures?”

Fei Erya nodded, smiling, ”Don’t worry, I’ve got it all done. I hurried over after reporting so you wouldn’t worry.”

”That’s good then.”

Then Yiyi quickly said, ”Erya, when there’s a break, come home with me. Mom mentioned it last time, too, she wants you to come home on weekends. Now that you’re tutoring and not as busy as before, you must have time to go home, right?”

Seeing the care and warmth in Yiyi’s eyes, Fei Erya nodded, ”Sure, when the weekend comes, I’ll go back with you.”

Seeing Fei Erya agree, Yiyi was relieved.

”Erya, let’s go eat at the little restaurant at the gate now.”

Fei Erya didn’t refuse; after they had eaten, she parted ways with Yiyi and returned.

When Yiyi returned to the dorm, Cao Panpan couldn’t help but say, ”Yiyi, your friend is really beautiful. No wonder they say pretty people even have pretty friends, it’s really envy-inducing.”

They’d seen Fei Erya before, but it was always from a distance, never as closely as today, so today was the first time they saw Fei Erya’s appearance clearly.

”What kind of reasoning is that? Being friends is about shared interests, not looks. Moreover, Erya and I have been classmates for so many years; naturally, we became good friends.”

Hearing this, the others nodded and said, ”Yeah, long-time classmates are definitely good friends. We will also be great friends in the future.”

In An Xueqing’s eyes was a mix of envy and a hint of jealousy.

Her looks were average, and even though she acted in that former TV series, she still wasn’t famous. In contrast, Feng Yudan’s acting was average, but because she looked better, her situation was much better.

As far as she knew, other crews were already inviting Feng Yudan to act again.
