The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 259: Chapter 258: Qi Renkun

With Shu Qiang’s issue resolved, there were people protecting her mother, Ding Yuejun, and Yiyi finally had the peace of mind to return to school for classes.

”Yiyi, you finally came back to class. We haven’t seen you for so many days,” Tao Cuizhu waved at Yiyi as soon as she saw her.

Seeing this, Yiyi sat down next to Tao Cuizhu and said with a smile, ”There was an urgent matter at home recently, so I took a few days off. You all must lend me your notes from the past few days, or I’ll fall behind in my courses.”

”Don’t worry, I’ve noted everything down. I’ll give them to you later.”

Tao Cuizhu nodded and agreed promptly.

Yiyi came in a bit early today; she looked around and saw only Tao Cuizhu had arrived in the dormitory, so she couldn’t help but ask, ”Why is it just you? Where are the others?”

Speaking of this, Tao Cuizhu shook her head and said, ”An Xueqing and Feng Yudan came back to class after filming, and everyone else is gathered around them, asking all sorts of questions. I really don’t get what they’re thinking. It’s such a privilege to get into university; they should focus on their studies instead of these trivial matters. It’s such a waste of time.”

Hearing this, Yiyi nodded.

”No wonder they’re not here, but class is about to start, they should be back soon.”

Just as Yiyi finished speaking, An Xueqing and the others ran into the classroom together. They spotted Yiyi and quickly ran over to sit down.

Cao Panpan, who was sitting in front of Yiyi, turned her head and asked, ”Yiyi, when did you get here? Why didn’t you come to the dorm?”

”I just arrived too.”

Yiyi replied with a smile, then looked at An Xueqing and Feng Yudan with a bit of surprise. Both of them had put on exquisite makeup, looking much prettier than before, but sitting among the other girls in the class, they seemed a bit out of place. After all, university girls rarely wore makeup, so their appearances were noticeably different.

Seeing Yiyi was observing her, Feng Yudan couldn’t help but smile and say, ”Yiyi, do I look good like this?”

Yiyi nodded appreciatively, ”Yes, very beautiful.”

Feng Yudan was already attractive, and with makeup, she didn’t look any less than those popular actresses.

Hearing Yiyi’s words, Feng Yudan was very happy and began to talk about her experiences on set, ”Yiyi, I really have to thank you this time. I learned so much; acting isn’t easy. Those actors work really hard. Luckily, Xueqing was with me, or I would’ve been all alone.”

An Xueqing just gave a gentle smile without saying anything.

Then the class bell rang, and everyone stopped talking, sitting quietly and waiting for the teacher to start the class.

Yiyi had missed a few classes, so she found it a bit difficult to catch up. Fortunately, she had a good foundation and was willing to work hard, so in just a couple of days, she managed to catch up with the courses she had missed.

After all the classes were done on Friday, Yiyi packed her things and went home.

Ding Yuejun was delighted to see her daughter return, ”Yiyi, how’s school? Have you caught up on the courses you missed for a few days?” She feared that because of her, her daughter’s studies would be affected.

”Mom, don’t worry about it. I’ve caught up. Besides, don’t you trust me? Your daughter is pretty amazing.”

Seeing her daughter joking around, Ding Yuejun couldn’t help but laugh, ”Alright, alright, you’re the greatest.” As she said this, she couldn’t help but ask, ”When can Tingyu get a break? It’s been so long since we last saw him.” This time, even though it was someone from the Shu Family who out of jealousy targeted her daughter, the root of the issue was related to Gu Tingyu. So Ding Yuejun felt it necessary to inform him about it.

Hearing this, Yiyi shook her head and said, ”I don’t know either. He’s on a mission recently, so he can’t contact me. It might be a while before he’s back.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun couldn’t help but shake her head, too.

Gu Tingyu was great in all aspects, but being constantly out of contact was a bit frustrating.

”Alright, mom. Tomorrow I’ll visit Grandpa and Grandma, and I’ll ask Grandpa if he knows anything.”

Although Mr. Gu was getting old, many things still had to go through him, so naturally, his information was more reliable than most people’s.

Upon hearing her daughter’s words, Ding Yuejun couldn’t help but nod and say, ”Alright then.”

But before Yiyi could leave the house the next day, someone came looking for her.

”Master, why are you here?”

Seeing Kong Mingsheng come personally, Yiyi was somewhat surprised.

Kong Mingsheng glanced at Yiyi with a bit of resentment, ”If I didn’t come, the disciple that’s already in my hands might run away. Did you forget about the matter of becoming my apprentice that I mentioned before?”

”Master, how could I forget that?”

Yiyi quickly replied with a smile, but still felt a bit guilty since she had indeed forgotten about it amidst her mother’s issues lately.

Kong Mingsheng didn’t say much and only stated, ”I’ve already chosen the day for your apprenticeship. It’s tomorrow morning. You should come to this address then.” With that, he handed Yiyi a small piece of paper.

After receiving the paper, Yiyi nodded quickly.

Ding Yuejun, who had already heard about this from her daughter, was full of smiles seeing Kong Mingsheng in person.

Since Yiyi’s mother and Kong Mingsheng were meeting for the first time, Yiyi quickly introduced them, ”Mom, this is Mr. Kong Mingsheng. He’ll be my master from now on. He thinks I have great potential in learning traditional medicine, so he took me in as his apprentice.”

She then introduced her mother to Kong Mingsheng.

”Hello, Mr. Kong. I’ll leave Yiyi in your care from now on.”

The man before her was a highly skilled traditional medicine practitioner, ensuring her daughter’s future education wasn’t a concern. Hence, Ding Yuejun treated Kong Mingsheng with utmost respect and quickly invited him to stay for lunch.

Kong Mingsheng was fond of Yiyi, his talented disciple, and was naturally also gracious towards her mother, so he readily agreed.

After lunch, Kong Mingsheng left first.

Thinking about the apprenticeship ceremony the next day, Yiyi decided not to visit the elderly couple at the Gu Family, instead preparing the gifts needed for the ceremony.

More eager than Yiyi, Ding Yuejun directly took her daughter to the market to buy a bunch of apprenticeship gifts.

The next day, Yiyi, with the gifts in hand, went to Kong Mingsheng’s house.

”Knock, knock, knock...”

After confirming the address, Yiyi knocked on the door.

A tall, handsome middle-aged man opened the door. Seeing Yiyi, he smiled and said, ”You must be the little junior sister Master mentioned, right? Hello, I’m Qi Renkun.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi quickly replied, ”Hi, I’m Mo Yiyi.”

The person before her was Kong Mingsheng’s second apprentice, an unexpectedly handsome older man.

”Alright, little junior sister, come in. Master’s been talking about you for quite a while.”

Once Yiyi entered, she saw Kong Mingsheng seated in the center.

”Yiyi, you came just in time; come meet your senior brothers.”
