Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2397: Chapter 1797: Unbreakable Speed

Xisuli, the second country visited by the Huaxia Business Group, has a territory and economic development far superior to Naliya.

Moribido City, the first city the business group arrived at in Xisuli, where Bai Xiaosheng and his team were given an exceedingly grand welcome.

Before the welcome ceremony was over, Bai Xiaosheng felt his phone vibrating in his pocket amidst the crowd.

He stealthily took out his phone and glanced at it, seeing a message from Lei Ying.

Along with some photos.

With one look, Bai Xiaosheng memorized the content of those photos, assisted by Red Lotus in organizing the information and remotely logging into the company’s intranet to review related content.

After several upgrades, Red Lotus’s assisting capabilities now included remote login, initially ”charged” by deducting Bai Xiaosheng’s score value, but as Bai Xiaosheng’s level increased, this ”charge” was waived although it had a limited monthly usage.

Bai Xiaosheng rarely utilized this kind of assistance.

The photos sent by Lei Ying contained key contents of contracts, involving the company’s North American and African divisions and five strong medium and large enterprises.

These deals were not normal, more like an exchange of interests.

Though he had anticipated it and was mentally prepared, Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but be shocked, unexpectedly realizing how bold these people were to openly conduct such cross-continental dealings.

Bai Xiaosheng’s expression was solemn.

These contracts were not meant to see the light of day, yet to both parties, they actually held a stronger ”binding force,” because each had evidence of each other’s wrongdoing.

If such matters were contracted, then it was obvious this wasn’t the first occurrence.

For so many companies to engage simultaneously in an interest exchange, there unquestionably had to be someone like Caroline behind the scenes for the North American division.

So who was pushing from behind in the African division?

Through Red Lotus, Bai Xiaosheng remotely searched and found that the enterprises involved in these contracts were overseen by the African division’s Deputy Executive Vice President, making that person the prime suspect, although the business president or executive president of the African division couldn’t be exempt from connection.

At minimum, they were guilty of failing to detect.

Bai Xiaosheng had truly not expected to encounter such a ”surprise” upon stepping foot in the African division as the Deputy Head of the Headquarters Oversight Department, regardless of whether it translated into performance or score, it was bound to be significant.

But this also signified the presence of severe conditions within the company’s senior management, fallibility and disgrace!

Even though Bai Xiaosheng was eager to score and level up, he really did not wish for such a ”surprise” in his heart.

With a slightly grave expression, Bai Xiaosheng’s phone vibrated again.

Lei Ying sent another inquiry, asking him what to do next.

”Take the items away, await instructions.”

Bai Xiaosheng, unable to speak with Lei Ying, simply typed a few words.

”Okay.” Lei Ying immediately responded.

After the welcome ceremony temporarily concluded, Bai Xiaosheng found a convenient place to talk and immediately placed a call.

Not to Lei Ying, but to Wen Yan at Ganande Headquarters.

Despite his grave mood, Bai Xiaosheng needed to handle the situation, specially as this was part of his oversight duties.

Given the magnitude of the issue, involving the highest levels of responsibility in two major zones, Bai Xiaosheng had to notify Wen Yan, the head of the company’s headquarters oversight department.

And to seek some support.

Bai Xiaosheng trusted that Wen Yan had personnel deployed in the African division, an authority belonging to the oversight department.

In this matter, Bai Xiaosheng believed Wen Yan knew certain details.

Only compromised by the two business presidents, he had not sufficient evidence and did not wish to act rashly.

Certainly, even if now ”the evidence is conclusive,” Bai Xiaosheng did not think it would intimidate someone like Caroline at that level, at most, she would only receive some reprimanding from the board members.

To find someone to take the fall and clear herself, for someone like Caroline, was exceedingly easy.

Even if pursuing this matter to the end doesn’t dislodge the actual big figures behind both sides, Bai Xiaosheng was determined to ”investigate and deal with it decisively.”

Not sitting back allowing them to go rampant simply because they cannot be taken down, they dare cross the line, then hands will be severed, feet cut, their claws will be clipped one by one. Let’s see if their pawns are greater or the sword of regulation sharper!

”Hello, Sheng?” The call dialed by Bai Xiaosheng was connected, and Wen Yan’s gentle voice was heard from the other side, ”I heard you went to visit Africa with the Huaxia Business Group, what made you decide to call me? Is there something up?”

Trying to build rapport was evidently not appropriate at this moment, and it wasn’t the right time.

Bai Xiaosheng didn’t hide it and plainly stated, ”Mr. Wen Yan, indeed something has come up!”

”Oh, what’s the situation?”

Bai Xiaosheng’s slightly stern tone made Wen Yan’s voice also two degrees more grave.

Over the phone, Bai Xiaosheng briefly informed Wen Yan of the situation on his end.

From the feedback in the call, Bai Xiaosheng discerned that Wen Yan had some surprised emotions but wasn’t too shocked.

Bai Xiaosheng speculated that Wen Yan was aware of some occurrences.

”You are the Deputy Head of the Oversight Department in our headquarters, and being on site, you are entrusted to handle this matter fully.”

Finally, Wen Yan calmly said, ”Be frank, you called me to ask how I can support you?”

Speaking to smart people meant simplicity and directness.

Bai Xiaosheng received authorization and even got Wen Yan to proactively offer support.

Bai Xiaosheng wasn’t modest, ”Mr. Wen Yan, I lack manpower on this side, please channel some local personnel from our department here to assist temporarily. Also, you must be under considerable pressure at Headquarters.”
